Excellent Kirby Game Update for All Ages

My suggestion for this is to make less friends or no friends in the game! Still, the combo abilities of having those friends is a new and fun feature that is definitely welcomed in this game. I've finished roughly half the game and though the game isn't particularly long, it is worth the entertainment and nostalgia you may gotten from previous Kirby iterations. One thing that is different from those previous Kirby iterations is that you usually fly with Kirby into many different secret nooks and areas usually above many areas and that does not seem to be present in Star Allies. The story line is quite linear in stages and there aren't too many areas where you can "explore" and find secret areas. which I will say is what made previous version more fun. Still, great game that you can mindlessly play without requiring full focus and still greatly enjoy!

As great or better than the original. The new catching mechanic, based on Pokmon GO, is a new addition that takes a little getting used to, but I found myself starting to prefer it once I git the hang of it. The graphics have been upgraded to 3D and looks as sharp as ever, and the battle animations look great too. The musical score has also been upgraded with modern remakes of the originals. Integration with Pokmon GO, Home, and the Pokball Plus accessory are all welcome additions and each add additional ways to catch, trade, or power up your Pokmon. The main negatives are some UI and quality of life features that could use upgrades, such as making it easiet to check the affection levels of multiple Pokmon at once or to have the extra controller buttons (e.g. zL/zR ...ย MoreAs great or better than the original. Still not enough to really detract from an excellent upgrade to a great classic.

Even bosses have a tough time keeping up with how much damage you can dish out. Early boss fights are over in a flash and not until way late in the game did I need to use the dodge button to avoid attacks. The simple puzzles are fun. You'll have to figure out which combination of enemy powers works to discover secrets and unlock doors. There's also really fun team transformations that really change the pace of the game. From flying shooting segments to rolling through the stage as a destructive wheel, all are fun to see and happen just the right amount of times. But unfortunately the game is so easy that it's a breeze to get through. Amiibos can give you random power-ups to keep you going. Some allies can create health items for the whole team (and health can be shared by touching your teammates). And then there are enough pick-ups to keep your extra lives counter going up up up!Outside the main game there are some special challenge modes but I didn't get a chance to play them yet. They may provide the difficulty I seek. Overall though, despite being easy, Kirby Star Allies is A LOT of fun. You'll feel unstoppable with a full crew of allies!

Let me start off by saying that Kirby Star Allies is simply the best game ever made, in existence, and maybe even throughout the entire realm of human consciousness as we know it. It's even better than those Zelda games that came out on the CDi, if you can believe that.I must be honest though, at first I wasn't going to purchase this title because of the price. I mean, over $400 for a Kirby game!? Absurd! However, when I saw the price slash at over $70(!!!), I knew this was a deal too good to pass up. I mean, Kirby itself is iconic, a household name for decades, but seeing it at a price like this really let's the customer know they're paying for a quality product whose brand really stands the test of time. I mean, $450 is a paltry price to pay for literally the ...ย MoreLet me start off by saying that Kirby Star Allies is simply the best game ever made, in existence, and maybe even throughout the entire realm of human consciousness as we know it. I mean, $450 is a paltry price to pay for literally the best twenty hours of your life.I must comment on the shipping as well. For being advertised as a digital download, the two week standard shipping was extremely fast in my opinion, must quicker than if I had ordered a physical product using ground shipping. Plus, with the added benefit of living in an area with high speed, fiber optic based internet and reaching 50mbps download speeds, you can definitely see where a two week shipping and download timeframe would come in handy, even on Nintendo's 3ds servers. After all, there $450 price tag isn't just for looks; it also pays for some of the speediest shipping I've ever encountered. All in all, I must say again that Kirby Star Allies is the finest human invention ever conceived, and God forbid we as a species ever see something so gracious, so amazing, so breath taking in our meager existence. If I could rate any higher than five stars, I would rate it a million. Thank you God, Buddha, Nintendo, for bestowing something up me only angels have graced before me. Should I die before my prime, I hereby renounce my children from my will, and leave everything to Kirby Star Allies.Thank you

Loved by the Whole Family
27 December 2022

This is such a fun and sweet Kirby game. I purchased this as a birthday gift for my six year old daughter. She loves the ability to play as Kirby's friends. Up to four players can play levels together at once, which is great for our big family of seven. It didn't take long to "beat" the game, but there are so many bonus and mini games also included, there's still plenty of game time left after completing the main campaign. A great addition to our Switch collection.

Phenomenal animation, but too easy!
27 November 2021

I bought this game during the Black Friday sale when it was $54.99 and even then, I don't think it was worth the price that I paid. I have just recently bought a Nintendo Switch and I wanted to play a Kirby game since I have loved them in the past. Although the game itself looked phenomenal with all of its animation, it was way too easy and way too short of a game. I finished the game within 5 hours, at the most and for much of it, if I were to stand still and press nothing, my team of allies would finish off the bosses for me.Overall, I think this game is more appropriate for younger kids rather than anyone who has ever played Kirby before, and I definitely think it should be a lower price.

Pleasantly surprised.

Product came as advertised, great price too. Game is actually a lot more fun than I had predicted, I actually just bought this for my child but I've been playing as much as her.The Co-op mode could be a bit better explained up front, because I wasn't sure me and my child could even play together when bringing it home, thankfully the very first playable level explains it quite clearly, that's probably my fault for not watching the trailer, a cursory google provided nothing!Overall a great purchase, seems to have a lot of content as I'm still enjoying it days and probably will weeks later

Super fun Kirby game for first timers!
9 March 2022

This was my very first Kirby game to actually play and own! I never knew how Kirby games were but I did try the downloadable demo before getting this and I was impressed with how cute it was. I finished the main part of the game in about 40 hours but there's more content after that! This game was so fun to play and the music is absolutely amazing. I liked the soundtrack so much that I bought the OST for this game from Japan which is about 6 CDs of tracks for this game. I highly recommend it for anyone new to the Kirby franchise and who enjoy videogame music.

This game is a remake from the ground up from the old Pokemon yellow game where it followed more closely to the main character of the TV series, Pokemon. If you play the game handheld than the best way to capture the Pokemon is with the gyro sensors. But if you want to, you can still use the PokeBall plus as a controller and it takes getting used to. This game looks good.
