Setup was insanely easy. I removed from box, plugged in, set time/date, connected to Wi-Fi and it was done! I didn’t have to install drivers or setup printer on my Mac or iPhone like I’ve had to do with other printers. I didn’t have to install the ink, it was already done and ready to print.I added this printer to my HP app/account.The printer is fairly large, however not ridiculously so. What a printer! This printer has far exceeded my expectations, from its arrival in a box on my porch, to functioning on my countertop. The box was big and I was relieved to see hand hold cut outs to help carry it. This may be a little thing, but our homeschool room is downstairs and I was nervous about getting it down there safely. No need to worry! Opening the box, everything was efficiently packed and it was easy to slide the printer right out. We plugged it in and went to the computer to download the software. The instructions say to go to a specific page to download drivers and firmware. After doing this, the printer gave me an error. I then realized there is a separate app for HP that will complete the entire setup process very quickly. My only suggestion is ... MoreWhat a printer! Having only used it a few weeks, 2 cartridges have already arrived, ready for when the printer alerts me that an ink is empty.This printer looks sharp and prints hundreds of pages with ease. Selecting or changing printing options is intuitive and the HP Smart app gives me real time feedback on how the printer is functioning. I am very impressed and thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this printer to review!

Previously, we only had an old black and white printer and wow what a difference this new printer makes in the documents we have printed so far! The printer was a breeze to set up, and was ready to be used just minutes after it was out of the box. I also accidentally jammed the printer with crinkled paper the first time I used it and it was easy enough to clear the jam quickly using the step by step instructions flashing on the printer screen. Thankfully we have a large space where our old printer used to be and this printer fits perfectly. I was finally able to complete the setup process but do wish it had a touch screen or button style control rather than the dial. It felt a bit clunky and not as responsive as it should have been. It was also a bit time consuming to have to enter my lengthy WiFi password using the dial but hopefully I’ll only have to do that once.After setup, I installed the app on my phone and since the printer was already connected to our network my phone recognized that and I was able to begin test printing a few photos of my kids in no time. The first couple times my phone took a few seconds to communicate with the printer but by the third time the response time was almost immediate. I’m looking forward to using this for photos and various documents or coupons that I need to print. The laserjet print quality is very good and fast!Overall, I think the only improvement I’d like to see in the future is the dial control. But I don’t think that after getting through the initial setup it will be an issue so I still give it five stars. It is a high quality printer that we'll be able to use for a long time. There have been so many times I’ve wished I could just send something to my printer from my phone and now I can. I think that is my favorite thing about the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dw Printer. Got the password right on the first try though! Getting the printer on my phone was so simple - I used the HP Smart app to detected the printer. There are cute printable puzzles and games on the app for my kids that they loved. It has great features: customize how quick it goes to sleep or shuts down so you don’t listen to humming, tray to keep paper loaded and second to manually load which worked great when we were using construction paper, arm flips out instead of pull out arm to make an extended arm for holding printed pages, easy access to the toner, easy access to pull out jammed paper (which I haven’t experienced!), double sided printing, and of course a screen. I’ve loved using this printer so far, and am thankful to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this printer! I would highly recommend it to families or those who work from home.

After using it for a couple of weeks now, this is my honest review of the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dw printer: I LOVE THIS PRINTER! I was super excited to receive and test out this printer, and spoiler alert, I was NOT disappointed! It was only ten minutes after I plugged in the printer that I was holding a vibrant and high quality printed piece of card stock paper.The machine feels luxurious with an easy-to-use knob to assist with the setup and controls. This machine does not have scanning or copying capabilities, but now that it is easier than ever to scan documents with phones and tablets this was not a deal breaker for me. Why even walk documents over to a printer to scan and PDF and send when it is simpler to do so from apps on a cell phone? I appreciate that they cut that feature out, as it assists with the visual appeal of the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dw Printer.I highly recommend this printer for your personal or small-business needs.
