HP Envy Inspire 7220e All-in-One Printer

I bought this printer for personal poster and label printing. The quality of the prints is very good and I like all the printing options. The printer looks great in my work space; although quite bulky its very neat looking. It feels very cheap and not very sturdy. I was disappointed with the quality and expected more from HP, even if it is their cheaper range. Setting it up was awful. It took 2 hours and a factory reset. Every time it completed the set-up it said it was ready to print. I’d try to print something then it would show an error asking me to complete set-up. It got stuck in a loop like this for ages. The printing is loud and so it the start up. My last printer was an Epson and lasted over 10 years with frequent use. Good general-purpose printer, excellent photo printing

The title sums it up, really.Let's start with the cons - HP ink is expensive so that should be considered before buying any HP printer. You should also avoid their subscription service like the plague, it's notoriously hard to cancel once you start it.The printer is big and bulky and the plastic cladding creaks like an old 90s printer, yet it doesn't seem to be fragile. I find the printer is also temperamental with connectivity, sometimes it insists the printer isn't online when the WiFi is clearly connected, but this can be worked around by using WiFi Direct connection. It's inconvenient but it does work every time.The pros are, this printer does a great job of printing in colour and black and white, and scans to a high level of accuracy. The best feature is that you can literally print a picture on A4 edge to edge with no borders, and photos (on proper HP photo paper) come out looking like professional photos. You can choose to print quietly as well - I have a 6 month baby who can sleep through with me printing on this setting.

Good quality printer.

I had to return one of these as it jammed after first use but it was replaced immediately. The quality of print is very good. For home use it's a good printer. The cartridges come with a replacement scheme and it wasn't long before the first ones needed replacing. Time will tell if this is an expensive option. But ease of use and the print quality are what I needed so overall I am happy with my purchase.

Great Printer

Easy to set-up and quality very good. The remote printing function has been useful for printing from mobile.6 month Instant Ink subscription included is a bonus. Great quality printer

The printer is really very good, sometimes a little slow at starting up, and does some crazy whining to align the heads, but it is worth the wait, and it is fast when actually printing. Superb quality, especially if you use photo quality paper/acrd. We have framed so many A4 photo. Hard to fault. Th e instant ink is pretty good value and you will get some free months. Hp envy inspire 7220e printer

I have recently purchased a printer and cannot believe the quality. It prints, scans, copies and sends fax. It has a terrific quiet mode and to top it all off you get a six month free ink. I have had many printers over the years but this one does it all for probably the lowest price i have ever paid. Very impressed and staff at Port Pirie Harvey Norman are amazing.

Received this today to replace a Canon MX925 that had packed up after 9 years. I didn`t know quite what to expect as I couldn`t find any reviews on this model, but was pleasantly surprised. Setting up was fairly easy once you install the HP app, and the option of the instant ink feature was a bonus. The print quality was very good, and the scanning feature worked efficiently, bringing the document up clearly on my PC via the app, and allowing me to file in a location of my choice, unlike the Canon which led me a merry dance for about 5 mins trying to find exactly where on the PC it had been dumped. Good modern design and colourway that would suit most interiors. The paper tray and its extension seem a bit on the flimsy side, but otherwise quite impressed overall so far.

Terrible printer

I bought this printer to replace a wonderful HP workhorse. I made a huge error signing up to the Instant Ink. Instant is a misnomer, the initial cartridge ran out in two days and I waited five for a replacement.The printer paper drawer is flimsy. The printer needs to stay on otherwise, if using wirelessly, you need to contact HP for a reset. It took me seven hours to print one sheet of A4. I do not print daily, if you do, this printer might be for you. However, if your bandwidth is not strong, you may encounter problems if you try wireless set up.I have abandoned this printer and purchased a different one. I was outside the 35 days return before I realised this printer is not for me so an expensive mistake.

Terrible product

I've had this printer/scanner for several months now and no disrespect to JL, but it has been a nightmare to use. It constantly goes offline and loses connection with my computer for no valid reason (my laptop is an HP purchased at the same time from JL - Windows 11), it says there is no app installed when there is, it says it has no paper in its tray when it has. It carries out one single task and then claims it has lost all ability to replicate the process. I have wasted countless hours in seeking online help, installing/uninstalling it and apps/drivers etc, removing/reconnecting its power cable, rebooting - all for extremely little in the way of printing and scanning to actually come out of the device. Ironically, my PC is situated approximately 2 feet away from this printer/scanner in my home office, but it won't work with a lead connector; so the user is forced to waste extra power and time in attempting to get the product to work through Wi-Fi. I wish I had never purchased this product.
