HPM 150mm Inline Exhaust Fan Kit

(15 reviews)

This inline fan is designed to extract steam and odours from a bathroom and expel it to the exterior through an eave outlet. It is also suitable for extracting air from one room and expelling it to another room for heat distribution. The fan engine is fitted into the ceiling, well away from the inlet. This allows the inlet grille to be mounted in wet areas such as bathroom splash zones or even above the shower.

Awesome extraction fan!

Bought this to use as a welding fume extraction fan and it does a brilliant job. The low setting is perfect for immediate area extraction without disrupting gas coverage and
the high setting moves a huge volume of air and easily pulls fumes from a metre away. The motor unit is right above my head and I can hardly hear it over the welder. The foil
ducting is surprisingly sturdy. All the internal parts are made of thick plastic and should easily handle moisture, dust and a lil heat.

Cant really say much about the part as it wasnt for my personal use but for flood repairs at my work. However, the click and collect service offered by Bunnings is AWESOME!
Plus the online communication regarding invoices and when it was ready was second to none!

I bought this with the brilliant idea to transfer cold air conditioned air to a room with no air con. Absolutely failed miserably. Doesnt work for that. These concepts of cold/hot
air transfer and ventilation had my eyes crossed, in fetal position sucking my thumb. As an extraction fan its awesome though.

Good bathroom extractor fan
2 June 2022
Bought this to vent a skylight above our shower as the standard ceiling fan outside the shower was not enough. Easily cut the required hole in the vertical face of the skylight and mounted the fan unit in the ceiling. Easy install with the plug end, supplied ducting and duct tape. Time will tell if it lasts but so far so good!... Show more

High flow but somewhat noisy
11 November 2022
This fan has very high flow compared to most other extractors and is comparatively well priced. Downside is there is a lot of induction noise where the vent exits the bathroom. This can be mitigated by mounting the fan unit further away from the vent, or switching it to the lower speed (on the unit) but this also results in less extraction capacity.... Show more

needs an extra part

The plastic duct end fittings are not long enough to go through a single brick wall and still have enough length on the inside end to attach the duct. An extender would be a good addition to the kit.... Show more

Review for HPM inline exhaust

just bought this. I'm using it as part of a fume extraction system for a laser cutter. Seems to be working very well. Quite quiet and effective. Great to have the handy 2 speed switch that's easily accessible on top of the unit. Real plug and play!... Show more

Works great.
28 October 2022
Easy to install and works great. Bought to extract fumes from my resin 3d printer setup in the garage. Exhaust is powerful. Only fault would be it seems to have a bit of a vibration which is noticeable if you place your hand on the wall it's mounted to. Adds to the noise a bit but the noise isn't too bad anyway. Can barely hear it on the other side of some MDF. Loudest thing is the air being sucked down the duct. But that's to be expected. My ducts aren't that long.... Show more
