The texture is not bad, but has a slightly greasy feel ("satiny" as someone put it is a good word to describe it) likely due to the oils and possibly the candelilla wax used. That said, it does not seem superficial or like it is simply sitting at the surface even though it is not very thick, but at the same time it is difficult to say how long-lasting it actually is. I have it on right now, and my lips feel comfortable, and supple. I am unsure what I think of the scent. It is not exactly as sweet or candy-like as some vanilla scents, but it is deeper and a little bit like frosting. I don't think it is overwhelming but I could see how it might not please everyone. For those wondering, I personally did not notice any taste.
