great for people like me who use headphones with no mic. great alternative to modmic. quality is superb, and I’ve found myself loving the capacitive touch mute. just needs a gentle touch so no one knows you’re muted, and you can verify it being muted from far away with the flashing light. love the adjustable stand it comes with, it sits nicely under my monitor out of the way, nice and small i don’t even notice it. usb plug in is convenient and works flawlessly with every program, both mac and windows. recommend

I went to this mic from a Hyper X Quadcast (Gen 1) mic. Reason being is I wanted my mic to stand out less on my desk and give me more space by getting rid of my boom. This is a great mic. Sound is much better than I expected for the price paid! It comes with a basic stand and a usb-c cable which I would expect at this price point. The sound quality is great for entry streaming. It also has a mute button on the top, which is handy. The cons that I have are occasional breaks in pickup which I haven't determined to be solely the mic's fault, usb-c cable length, and weight. I feel the cable could be slightly longer, but I also don't have a normal desk setup. I combined this mic with a Rode PSA1 while it fits you do need to pick up a shock mount for added weight. Even with that the Rode wants to shoot back up. For now mine stays put, but if they added weights or some how added more weight to the mic it would make it a much better ... MoreThis is a great mic. been trying to have this working on my PS4pro and can't hear anything all though the console says it usb microphone is on. See no signal in device setting. Should be fairly simple but am not having any luck with it. Try on my computer and I can see signal but do not hear anything. lol read up and watch other tubes and try all kind of ways but same result. This seems like I need the apps for this microphone to bridge the device internal connection or some sort maybe. as of now its acting like signal meter to me on my computer.
This thing is absolute garbage. Why would you even make a mic with a desk stand that cannot be used unless you put your mouth right up to it? I expected I'd be able to maintain some distance and let this sit on my desk and talk in a google meets or whatever video conference. Nope. They should forget the stand it give you a lapel clip so you can attach it to your shirt collar because even at that distance it would be suspect. It picks up almost no sound when you speak at it, but it picks up every single time you touch the desk, type a key, or whatever. And this is with it sitting on a rubber foam mouse pad to insulate it some from vibrations. Sadly I bought this and didn't have time to install it so it's past the return period. That part is my fault, but the mic itself is worthless. There's no controls on it to adjust the input level. Turned all the way up in windows it gets about 15-17% as a max. Nobody can hear you. People in the reviews talk of a mute button but this doesn't have one of that that I see. What a disappointment.
Device does not support 24-bit, 96 kHz. It only supports 16 bit 48 kHz. The product manual says this in the specifications. Windows also reports it this way. They say you must update the firmware to get this capability. Before I get into that, let me advise that I think this firmware update only makes it output an "upscaled" signal from 16 bit, 48 kHz signal and thus you're only getting a fake sampling of 24 bit, 96 kHz. One should compare the waveform before and after the update and see if there is a real increase in resolution. That is if you can update the firmware: Their website directs you to download their ngenuity management software. If you dig through their website (after researching reddit, etc.), you'll eventually find a direct download link to the firmware. Won't detect the device. Not an isolated incident as you will find from your research. So you go ahead and install their ngenity software. It doesn't recognize the mic. Also not an isolated incident as you will see as of March 12, 2023. Do not buy this. Their support website tells you they no longer monitor email and to use social media. I don't use social media and am not making an account to tell them all of this. I'm going to return it and the retailer can deal with the loss. Their chat support is a bot. I'm not going to call them and become more frustrated since I bought a product that probably doesn't really sample at the advertised resolution. Otherwise, I'd expect their USB controller (what the firmware is actually updating) to already be sampling the ADC at the advertised resolution. It's trash to me with trash support, anyway.
I got this on sale for $39.99 but even at full price this is a perfect microphone for gaming or business use. I'm a simple person so I love that it's plug & play without needing to download additional software that use gimmicky voice changers etc. It also features one big button at the top to mute/unmute. The microphone is solid red when it's unmuted and blinks red when muted. The mic sits on my desk with the included holder and the included cable is lengthy so there should be no issue putting it in the perfect spot. I have no issues with voice quality at all my freinds on Discord were impressed when I told them it's just a cheap HyperX mic because they have +$100 Yeti mics. If you're on the fence about this mic this is your sign to pull the trigger!
I was debating between the razer seiren mini, seiren X, blue yeti nano, and this. My friends happen to own each one of these except the hyperx solocast, so I bought it to compare this with the other mics. Superficially, they all sound pretty much the same, but on closer analysis, both the razers sound like you're speaking through a tin can. It's a subtle difference, but it's there. The blue yeti nano and the hyperx solocast have very similar sounds and build quality, and they both have a mute button. I like the black color for the solocast, and the fact that it is slightly cheaper than the blue yeti nano, so I decided to go with the solecast. Really surprised so many great reviews. It's not worth it, have never created a video or talked to anyone without lots of crackling / straight up loss and going dead. I'm a tech junkie but know very little about audio so I don't have the knowledge to describe why the issues with the mic are happening. If you move at all, and I mean at all, like type or move your chair etc the mic will crackle and not record. So say if you were recording yourself playing a game or doing a twitch stream your audio will be choppy at best. Disappointed this is legit garbage. Wanted it to work and used it a bunch of times before giving up on it. Every video call I would end up switching to my headset audio and every video recorded with it, even when sitting perfectly still, is unusable.
Just what I needed because I use wireless earbuds for sound and this for a mic when buddies are playing. Not a fan of gaming headsets because they make my ears hurt or sweat plus the weight. This is great with Discord. Had to set the input to sound on the earbuds and output mic to this and adjusted the sensitivity for what worked for me and for friends not hearing my membrane kb. I'm not sure if it will pickup on a clacky mechanical kb. Mute makes the light flash red, just tap the top. I don't need a pop filter. Really great sturdy build quality. Turn it around and tighten the knob. Like ppl said it slides a bit so just put something under it perhaps. I set it behind my monitor when not in use.
