I love my new v-neck 200 long sleeve. It is just the right weight for layering underneath my sweaters for the cold Canadian winter. When inside it becomes a comfy shirt. Great as a top for cooler weather when travelling in the summertime. The large fits well. I'm 5'4" 140 pounds. Bought it on sale! Bonus!

I run very cold and live somewhere that's mild to cool year-round. This is a go-to layer for me. I love the weight and the neckline (could even be wider), but the colors are not great. I'd love ivory, blush, light tan, gray, teal, raisin, french blue, etc. Black is harsh and limits what I can put it under (it shows through light color sweaters), and the lime green makes me look ill. Better colors for this great piece, please!

The design has changed! Seams are now visibly overlocked instead of being properly sewn, which relegates it to sportswear only, instead of a go-anywhere winter staple; the overlocking also wears incredibly quickly. This style is/was IB's only pure merino top with a scoop or sweetheart neckline - please, please return to a properly finished garment, in a wide range of colours.

I have a crew neck 200 Oasis long sleeve that I purchased years ago. I love that they now have the option of a v neck!!! Perfect for layering under sweaters where the crew neck tends to poke out!The newer version is very nice and soft and seems to be good quality, but I like the fit of the older one more, and also the fact that it doesn't have any branding. The new version is bigger, and it also has branding on the sleeve which I dislike (though it's subtle!). I also liked that the older version had a real tag, not a painted on one. I'm worried the painted on sticker will not hold up. The slimmer fit from years past fit my shape much better too, so i'm sad this one is larger! I'm hoping the new one will shrink slightly after the first wash.

They are easy to wash, last for literally years and dont make you pong like synthetic thermals.HOWEVERthe neckline on this latest scoopneck version is much higher and narrower than my previous ones. Its actually more like a crew neck in my opinion. It sits right up under my collar bone so it shows underneath most womens tops. I wear this top all the time. Great under garment in winter. Put a jumper or cardigan over top - looks great! Warner weather great with jeans in evening. Good on a cycle for under garment under jacket or high visibility wear. Looks good! I have three of these.Only down side is that can get a knot run on it wear you pull jumper down a lot or tuck into jeans.
The shirt is nice, fits well, and I like that the waist is long. However, the size guide on the website is useless. I am usually a medium but the size guide recommended a large, which was too big. It would be great if icebreaker could have a size guide with actual measurements instead of vague descriptions. Like, I don't want to describe my body type to the website, I just want to see a size guide with inches at waist, bust, hips, etc.
I bought a long sleeved icebreaker top about 10 years ago and have worn it and worn. For every day wear, out for dinner with a skirt and especially for travelling. It was time to get a new one and so far this one feels as good as the last. I love the neckline and the fit and the feel and also how I can wear it for day and layer it with my icebreaker hoodie and tank tops.
If you want to buy it because you have an old Oasis 200 Scoop Neck that you have been using underneath everything - do not make the mistake of buying this! I'm almost thinking of sending mine back ... this is basically a wider crew neck - NOT the wide open scoop neck the old version had! It's sticking out under every other shirt and dress making it basically useless for the purpose of wearing under everyday clothing!! I'm VERY VERY disappointed!! (purchased in June 2024)

Needless to say, I had to return it for my usual size.Once I got my normal size the shirt fit great. It's still fitted, unlike many of the tees that I have from IB, but it is not snug like my body fit zone shirt. My zone shirt I plan to wear almost exclusively as a baselayer, so I want it snug. This one I'd like the option to wear it alone, and because it's fitted (but not snug) I feel like it could serve both purposes. Sleeve length is long enough for my long arms and I appreciate the feminine look of the scoop neck. Like all of their products, the wool is super soft and not scratchy, great at sweat wicking, fast drying, and yes, made in China but really great quality. I always like to read about people's height and weight and what size they took as a guide, so for reference I'm 5'11 and somewhere between 145-150 lbs. The medium is what fit me well. Not baggy, still fitted, just not snug.
