Now this was a revelation. I found my first Icebreaker product in an outdoor shop in the mountains in Wales near Brecon Beacon. They were on offer and I got a Lotus colour of this version (and one top). I had size M (for 1,76m tall, 70kg and normally am a 12-14 size). It was perfect for my wild camping trip. When I got home I ordered two more for me in black and red and two for my partner (in black and Lotus/dark purple). I absolutely love them! I wear them above the Siren Tank Top and a short sleeve shirt and if it gets cold under another zip jacket, They look smart on their own. If Icebreaker considers coming up with some more colours of these (e.g. dark green, Redwood) I would so buy them but feel too self-indulgent to get more now of the same colour. I washed ... So soft and so quick to dry! I walk to work year round, which is about an hour, so I work up a sweat no matter how cold it gets. The cut and fit of this is perfect, I ordered up a size for a looser fit, which is great, except it doesn't hold its shape as well as I'd like and the arms are just a smidge long. The fabric isn't 100% opaque, but because it's mostly a base layer, that's not a deal breaker for me. I'll get a lot of wear out of these from work to snowboarding to winter hikes! Great under a wool sweater, too.

I own several of these 175 everyday long sleeve crew tops. I think this is my sixth one, and my first in grey. I wish there was a larger color selection.They are a great weight for wearing under sweater and become part of my cool season uniform. You can wear them for days with no stink and they don't get overly stretched out. When they start to wear out I use them as my sleep shirt.I'm 5'-11" and 160 lbs. The size large fits great and the arms are long enough for a tall person.
The sub-zero temperature in Vancouver BC opens up the perfect opportunity to wear this merino base layer (175) I bought back in March 2022. I took the shirt out of the box last night for use on the next day. When I finished running errands and went indoors, I took off the base layer by lifting up the front fabric. Right away I noticed lights penetrating through some pinholes. Double checked, these holes exist and might have been missed stitches during the knitting process. About 7 small pinholes in total and all in the lower front part. Background: The shirt was never taken out of the original packaging before this first wear. The shirt has been placed in a drawer with no sharp objects, no hair pins, no Velcro, no wood spikes. The shirt was nicely folded when I ... I love this top! It is very warm and breathable and it keeps me nice and warm when layered under other things. Worn on its own it is also a great choice: it looks great and feels great. This thickness (175) is my favourite so far: great temperature regulation and absolutely no sweat! I am tempted to get another one like this. It is super versatile. This is the kind of top that makes you wonder why you would wear anything else. It fits loosely but not too loosely so somehow it looks and feels great.
Well made, comfortable lightweight wool pullover. Outstanding for fall and spring use, as well as in the winter, with additional layers over this shirt as a base. Breathable, wicking and a smooth knit, so it's not scratchy on the skin. Washes up well and doesn't hold odor.

My first day on the job I ended up working very late because we had a major snow storm (12"+ of snow) that put us behind schedule. Cons: Definitely slightly scratchy (Disclaimer: I am very sensitive to this); odd pointy shoulder seams on the XS; very long sleeves and body. I REALLY had to push up the sleeves, there was a LOT of extra material. I am small framed (wrist to armpit is about 19.5 inches) but other Icebreaker styles fit me much better. It was also very long in the torso (and my torso is long for my height). It is definitely sheer, which I didn't mind, but you would need something underneath FOR SURE! Maybe it would work as a layer under heavier things but I have more comfortable merino for that. My favorite part was the blue color.
