First of all I love that these are 100% merino-so much harder to find these days. The fit of these is perfect and very true to size. It isn't constricting, allows normal movement and layers well under clothes. The length is great too. The 175 weight is slightly see through. It'd be nice to have it not be see through like some of the other brands I tried. The only thing I don't like is all the tags on the side. There are so many, they are long and irritate the skin. I'm not a fan of cutting tags off that have care instructions, but I had to with these. Overall, they are great lightweight base layers.

I have several Icebreaker base layers. The long-sleeve crew thermal top is nice and warm and comfy and can be worn several days without odor. The only negative for me is that they don't come in petite sizes so they are a bit long. Also, the sleeves are super long, but at least they can be folded back (not idea, but I love these tops so much I'll do it). The sleeves are so long that I pull them over my hands and wear them almost like fingerless mitts when sleeping on cold nights! Please offer petite sizes!

Again this is about my third top in this style but different weights/colours over 10 years. And I love them! They last so well, I love the neck line good for temperature changes.... In fact my one regret in life (almost!!!) is I didn't buy a lush purple one a few years back. Unreservedly recommend. The first one I bought lasted 10 years and I eventually gave it to refugee collecting winter clothes as it was still good but I'd moved up from a small to medium in that time.

this is the best fabric at Icebreakers: very light, hugs you with full flexibility and comfort, keeps you very warm without getting too hot...I love it!I bought this long-sleeved Crew Thermal Tee, but wish Icebreaker would go back to make the same one with raglan sleeves, like the very old (but still perfect) ones I have (they were men's ones, and I checked in the men's but could not find the raglan sleeve ones). I wear them all the time and highly recommend them because this very light-weight and very fine ribbed knit is fabulous!
Me: 5'4" / 135 lbs / 32DD / 35" bust / 29" waist. Ordered both the small and the medium, as I was between sizes. True to advertising, the Everyday's rib knit is NOTICEABLY more soft and comfy than the Merino 200 Oasis and even the Siren lines. I put on a medium in this after taking off the Oasis in the same size. The Everyday was easier to pull on (more stretchy), it was softer to the touch, and I felt immediately like snuggling up in it. I also think it's less scratchy once on. It's like pulling on a loose knit sweater that happens to be as somewhat fitted and as thin as a shirt. I hadn't realized how uncomfortable the Oasis tops were until I experienced the Everyday. There's no reason for a warmer longsleeve base layer than this, unless it's exclusively an ... I hadn't realized how uncomfortable the Oasis tops were until I experienced the Everyday. There's no reason for a warmer longsleeve base layer than this, unless it's exclusively an overlayer or jacket. (But if you were really worried about warmth, you could wear a very thin layer under the Everyday, just because of how stretchy it is.) The Everyday is a little less fitted then the thinner Siren Long Sleeve Sweetheart. If the 175 Everyday were also offered in a sweetheart neck like the Siren, it would be the uncontested champion of thermal tops in my book. For reference, the Everyday small fits and looks as tailored as a medium in the Siren. But due to risk of shrinkage (increased by the Everyday being 100% wool), I'll return the small and keep the medium.
I spend two months every year on a motorcycle, traveling through foreign lands. I can only bring 5 shirts. Each piece is critically essential. It has to be appropriate for the Alps, the Louvre, the wind chill from the bike and a romantic dinner for two. This Icebreaker Merino 175 makes the cut. It is a winner on all fronts: cozy too! I ❤️ this masterpiece design.
This base layer is awesome! I live near Shenandoah National Park and hike year round. This layer works well for me as a stand alone without a jacket when worn over a short sleeve layer. This works for fall and spring hiking around here. I add a jacket in the winter. I think it is very comfortable and a great weight. It washes well (I hang dry). I would love to see it in a fun color like deep purple. Don't stop making this Icebreaker!
The sub-zero temperature in Vancouver BC opens up the perfect opportunity to wear this merino base layer (175) I bought back in March 2022. I took the shirt out of the box last night for use on the next day. When I finished running errands and went indoors, I took off the base layer by lifting up the front fabric. Right away I noticed lights penetrating through some pinholes. Double checked, these holes exist and might have been missed stitches during the knitting process. About 7 small pinholes in total and all in the lower front part. Background: The shirt was never taken out of the original packaging before this first wear. The shirt has been placed in a drawer with no sharp objects, no hair pins, no Velcro, no wood spikes. The shirt was nicely folded when I ... Can it be a return item before I received it in my order? I do believe I received my item brand new never opened. The return window of 60 days from purchase date has long passed as I understand. I would still use it - the function of the shirt should not be affected just due to these pinholes. I would always be wearing other layers over it. I'll be super careful handling this item made of delicate wool fabric.
I have about 6 or 7 icebreaker long sleeve baselayer shirts in multiple thicknesses and colors (bright red, black, dark purple and dusty pink, 175 & 200), none of them have ever showed sweat stains except this one. I found it super disappointing - not sure if it's because it's on the thinner side at 175? I wouldn't expect a dark green color to show sweat stains but this shirt does all the time. By the way - I don't sweat very much either!! So it's very strange. I've been a customer for 10 years and just hope the quality of the material isn't changing...
This is the third time I buy this. It is so comfortable! I wear it every day, all year round. If it gets too warm I can stuff it in a small, light lump in my rucksack (it will be fine when I take it out again). If it is too cold it smoothly fits under thicker jumpers, and adds a good layer of warmth. The neck is not too tight, nor too wide. I can run or sleep in it - it is so breathable. Then it goes in the washing machine, almost like a T-shirt.Only downside is that my elbows poke through after two-three years. But it's a good investment overall (especially if you catch it on sale :) )
