Purchased before Christmas and finally received it the week after. After seeing other reviews, I was excited. Planned on using it in my truck to connect the AUX jack for my in-vehicle stereo to my aging Galaxy S10+ that had a worn-out AUX jack. The GO Link connected easily and Tidal asked for permission to use it. I have had the golink for about three months and have done numerous firmware updates, but with the same result. The device will random create static and then stop playing. It almost sounds like it is shorting out. After repuggling the golink into my phone, the device works again for about one minute. The sound is noticeably improved, but due to its defectiveness, I will be attempting to return.

I wont say really good but good. The sound lacks somewhere in richness and not everywhere. And the vocals doesnt seem that authentic as I used to listen to sometimes it feels too much amped up not in par with the backgrounds. Anyway I like the range it has so that you can play with the setting to bring out what suits you. Other that when its a continuous stream of audio I wont recommend it on a phone. Pair it with a good iem and you are good to go. Well its worth the price. And it is warmer than my phone even though its not too much just that its noticeably warm. And the leds change colour depending on the audio specs you are sending something to watch out.
This is such a convenient yet capable 100 dollar package. It's a USB C DAC and amp that also comes with USB A and lightning adaptors so it's usable with any computer or smartphone. There is enough power coming out of this to drive my 55 ohms Focal clears and I'm sure these can drive low impedance planar magnetic headphones too. The sound is very clean coming out of these and the all metal build is very reassuring. Wire is twisted and attached very well so it is not stressed while the DAC body is moved around. I didn't give it 5 stars though so here are the negatives. Compared to connecting direct to my devices, I've noticed the Go Link reduces bass for some reason, maybe due to higher sampling rate playback. Compared to connecting direct to my devices, I've noticed the Go Link reduces bass for some reason, maybe due to higher sampling rate playback. More annoying, after setting the DAC's output to higher than 16bit/44khz sample rate on my PC it does not play music when you open a music player or Spotify automatically anymore. I have to open the app, play music through my speakers, plug the Go Link in after to make it work. Strange quirk but given I've got such a capable machine for 100 dollars, it's hardly something to complain about and I will absolutely recommend this for anyone with medium impedance dynamic and low impedance planar magnetic headphones. Not to mention it doubles as an adaptor for your smartphones too. All round good value product.
Thanks to the HPZ team to educate newbies on audiophile exploration. I use the DAC with my android devices and there is definitely a sudden increased volume that you would experience, clarity is pristine with my IEM. I am happy with the sound, however on moving too much there is disconnection resulting in pause/stoppage of music. Long run there would be issue with wire connecting the DAC, Suggest you can suggest the same to IFI audio to get these rectified. I have a year warranty and will change it if required.
Constant hissing and cracking noise along with devise getting hot. Planning to return for verification . I would love to keep it but couldn't . Audio quality alone is amazing but noise killing the quality. Hope it is because of a diffective item i received. My primary use is with mobile phone . Was very excited to recieve but disappointed. One honest feedback is , the noise is not happening if connected to my HP laptop but present when connected to mobile phones. I tested with 4 different mobile phones and same noise. The heating problem present on both laptop and mobile phones
I was searching for good earphones for best quality sound but bit confused. I took suggestion from headphone zone and Virendra helped me out.I got the DAC and earphone combination and get the quality what I was expecting. Please get a suggestion before buying anything on your own it will help you out for what you are looking.
Thank you headfone zone for recommending IFI Go link. The audio is surely enjoyable and I have paired it with kz zsn pro x.Bass has a good punch and that too without compromising the other frequencies . Thou I am not an audiophile but I love to listen the music as the makers intended and I am enjoying every bit. And on the good side they have given type c to lightning too thanks IGI. If headphone zone offers some discount I would second one.
I bought the DAC by watching the reviews available in youtube. As my genuine opinion, i bought the DAC only 50% of belief. But after using the dongle, i was mesmerized with its performance. Thank you for Headphone Zone. I also bought Kz ZEX IEMs and i have been using the same and presently i am using both the weapons. Awesome products

iFi Go Link USB Amp/DAC
Hi-Res True Native playback from MP3 to DSD256, PCM384 and DXD384 High-performance DAC chip from ESS Technology’s Sabre HiFi series Quad DAC+ and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator Delivers ultra-low distortion, excellent clarity and impressive dynamic range Cable uses silver-plated copper conductors in a ‘twisted pair’ configuration Adjusting the volume on connected device controls volume level in the GO link’s DAC PCM to 32-bit/384kHz, DSD to 11.2MHz (DSD256) and MQA Headphone amp feeds a gold-plated 3.5mm socket S-Balanced configuration reduces noise and crosstalk GO link from iFi audio - the headphone dongle linking you with your music. Its purpose is twofold. First, to enable corded headphones and earphones to connect to digital devices that don’t have a 3.5mm headphone output. Second, even if a device does have a headphone socket, the GO link delivers a big sonic upgrade. This is because its sophisticated DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter) and headphone amp circuitry is superior to the audio tech contained within mobile devices and computers. At one end of the GO link is a USB-C connector, at the other is the DAC and headphone amp circuitry, both housed in robust yet lightweight magnesium alloy enclosures. In between is a 6cm length of flexible cable – this aids practicality, allowing the DAC/amp section to be angled towards the listener and reducing stress on the USB port to which the GO link is connected. Superior sound with a twist.
