My IKEA Produkt Frother/Foamer is one of my favorite kitchen accessories. I recently purchased this to make homemade lattes and have found myself using it almost every day! It comes with batteries already in the device and ready to use after washing. To make lattes, I warm milk in a small sauce pan over medium heat until it steams before it comes to a simmer. I turn off the heat and removes the pan from the stove eye. I place the frother 1/2” in the milk near the edge of the pan and turn on the device by pressing the button on the bottom. I slowly move the frother around the perimeter of the pan until I have the desired amount and density of foam on top of the hot milk. I pour the warmed milk into a mug and add a shot of expresso or add strong dark roast coffee. I ... MoreMy IKEA Produkt Frother/Foamer is one of my favorite kitchen accessories. It is one of my most used kitchen tools currently and perfect for making pumpkin spice lattes. It is a product I definitely recommend.

I can't even count how many times I have purchased this product to give it as gift. I guess most of my extended family and friends have it by now. It's best to make that typical Indian style beaten coffee. Remember what we used to do with spoon beating the coffee and sugar in a mug for fifteen minutes... Now just do it with this frother in two minutes. First froth the coffee and sugar with very little hot milk, then pour over the milk and froth that too and voilà, your homemade cappuccino is ready. The only tough part initially is figuring out how to insert batteries but then several videos are there on the net explaining that. Also, remember to wash it immediately after use.

This frother works great except for one thing. The motor is quite powerful and does a great job of making lattes at home. However the plastic housing and battery cover is very poorly designed, if you drop this, the batteries will pop out or even setting it down on counter hard can cause the batteries to pop out. When you do put batteries back in, it is very difficult to attach the battery cover back on, it just does not want to slide in housing, and seems way to tight as housing wants to separate at part line. Needs reengineered.

First of all, inserting the two AA batteries is virtually impossible unless you know you have to press HARD to snap one of them into place. It comes with zero instructions, not even a pictogram, and I had to view one of the MANY videos people have made about inserting the batteries.I finally got the batteries installed and it immediately started spinning, and I figured the switch was on so I slid it over. And it kept spinning. I slid it back. It kept spinning. Finally, after wasting 45 minutes of my life I tossed this $2 junk in the trash. If anyone from IKEA comes here to comment *please* don't remind me I can return it for up to a year - I live an hour from the store.
Works great! Good milk frother, once you get the batteries in! The frother takes 2 AA batteries. The trick is, once you drop the first battery in, push the battery inside, to the side, to have it fit in place under the lip of the lid. Then the 2nd battery will drop in no problem. Push down the lid and snap it in place. I can completely understand why there is so much frustration/complaints on the reviews, about the batteries not fitting. I was ready to return this thing myself, until I went on here! Hope this helps the new purchasers!
I have been wanting a frother for awhile and knew IKEA sold them for very cheap. Checked the reviews, 50/50 good/not good, but decided to buy one anyway because the cost at $2.49 just can't be beat. Definitely check them out beforehand because the on/off slide button was very loose and flimsy on a few in the bin. Also, check the opening where you place the 2 AA batteries to make sure that it opens/closes firmly.Doesn't come with any How To Use and Make Milk Froth instructions. Just comes with product details and battery requirements in all languages.Had a little difficulty putting in the batteries because the hatch is attached and it seemed like you couldn't slide the 2nd battery into place, but it worked out nonetheless.Have had the frother for less than a month ... Have had no problems, been using it daily, and now the question is seeing how long it will last.I do highly recommend it though given my currentexperience with it ;-)
The product works well but the battery compartment is not sized properly. I took the product home mid-afternoon and it was not until the next day that I was able to get both batteries into the compartment. You need a PhD in battery installation to install the batteries. Those of you who were able to get the batteries in easily should consider yourself lucky. I am good with my hands and more than half smart and it took me a day to get the batteries in. I don't know what will happen when it comes time to replace the batteries. IKEA, please recall this product. It does not meet your nor my standards.
Very bad experience inserting the batteries. The lid mechanism is difficult to understand. I'm giving 1 star review only because that's the minimum I can rate. After too many careful efforts I could insert the battery. But now as soon as I close the lid, the frother turns on. The switch was off. I tried toggling the switch but it didn't stop. I again had to remove the batteries and re-insert to make it work properly. Also, I had to assume the on/off direction of the toggle switch. There are no markings. The switch quality is weak too.
The mixer shaft somehow bend causing the mixer to wobble upon 1st test.Self fixed the shaft by gently bend it to make it straight as possible.Retest no wobble.Never read the instructions and wording. ( remove for environmental saving) - put qr tag onlyPurchase one before, somehow after accident got water in, the product not responding. Consider cover the crucial part with silicone.
I found these walking into the marketplace. I had originally purchased two on Amazon that were very expensive so I got one can’t beat the price. It works better than the one I purchased so I ended up returning the others. I suggested this is a great product. You can throw it in your purse if you want to take it to work or anywhere that you go for you blend your own drinks I use it as a blender for cold, and as a froth or for hot.
