Ikonic Satin Chrome Digital Lever Entry Lock

To whom this may concern.I have just bought an Ikonic Digital door lock from Bunnings. This current purchase seems like a new model.I am a customer who is a fan and have bought 8 of the previous Ikonic Door locks and have noticed there were some changes in this current model. I'm not sure why these changes were necessary but I'm probably right by saying that it's got something to do with cost cutting as evident in the product!There are a few flaws that I have noticed with this model that I would like to point out.1) The longest fixing screw that is supplied is too short for my door even though it is only 40mm thick! I'm sure the colour will eventually fade over time. This will make it impossible to change the code. The original setup was a lot clearer to read. See photo.3) If I were to lose the small screw driver supplied to change the code then this would make it more of an inconvenience to find something similar. With the previous model I can use anything flat to change the door code with.4) The bolt mechanism is smaller and feels not as solid as the previous model. It has a round end which makes it more difficult to make an opening in the door side. The previous model has a straight edge which makes it easier to fit into the door side by cutting the opening with a chisel.5) The whole lock feels lighter and not as robust as the previous model!Even though I was a fan I will not be recommending this product or buying any more in the future. looking for an alternative!

I bought this lock for a 65 mm thick gate as it said it will accommodate 65 mm thick doors. IT DOES NOT!! I had to recess the lock handle on the inside 5 mm so the lock would still fit with the rubber gasket underneath it.To rotate the handle around to the correct position I undid the three visible crews for access. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THIS ANY OTHER WAY!! Springs and little pieces of metal went everywhere! I finally got all the components back and tried to set a code. The ‘C’ button looked funny and I could not Unicode this. THIS IS NOT EXPLAINED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS CLEARLY. I installed the lock and now the code does not work. Be wary if you intend to buy this or others in the range as all the instructions are similarly pathetic.

Failed after a month. The outside handle became loose.
