I used to always buy Nescafe Azera, and thought it was the best micro ground coffee you can get. I tried this one day, and was very pleasantly surprised. While the coffee looks like regular instant coffee (not the very fine granules that you get from Azera), it tastes very different. It's a good, strong coffee, and while it won't fool any coffee snobs, most people should be able to detect the superior taste and aroma compared to, say, Gold Blend. It's expensive, but it's a case of you get what you pay for. Great for a quick coffee when you don't have time for a filter/drip.

I bought this for my mom as sometimes she just wants a quick cup of coffee, and uses instant. She loves illy coffee, and when she tried the instant version, she said it was really really good! I’m so glad to have found a quality instant coffee!
I liked the micro ground method producing this, tastes delicious almost like ground but not quite, a sort of super instant, creates a good frothy head first as black coffee with two teaspoons per mug
Im emotionally attached to my Nespresso machine so dont buy instant coffee, however was sent this to review. Im really impressed. It is strong but smooth, and no nasty bitterness. I used 1.5 teaspoonfuls in a standard mug, I like my coffee strong, and it was perfect. Its not going to Away from my machine but Id definitely have a jar of this in as a reserve.
My mornings start with Macchiato in my Selamica Espresso Cups, made with Illy Intenso Bold Roast . My daughter and I love our morning coffee routine. We use Illy's super-fine ground, bar-none, the best coffee I have found. The layer of crema is superb; rich & flavorful. A few drops of maple syrup in the bottom of the Selamica cup sweetens it to perfection for my taste.Illy Intenso Bold Roast receives JPAUL'S HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
Like the previous reviewer I am a converted Nescaf? Azeri drinker. This is such a good instant coffee. When we dont make a barista coffee for guests this always gets compliments. Taken a star off as it is quite expensive but again like the previous reviewer said, you get what you pay for here!
I had very high expectations for this product because my Italian roommate claimed this was the most renowned brand in Italy. It’s okay but it kind of smells odd. Even though it’s a “bold” roast, it almost tastes like blonde which is also probably why it smells odd to me. Two aspects I do like are that it is smooth and does not taste acidic. However, Starbucks’ instant coffee is substantially better and I will stick with their coffee.
Tied Illy coffee for the first time and really liked it! The strength is perfect , very drinkable. The taste is like a filter coffee but with the ease of an instant coffee- one of the best instant coffees that I have tried. Quite expensive but worth it , a quality coffee. I would definitely buy this again .
