Innisfree - Green Tea Seed Serum 80ml

I received this in a travel set from Innisfree! The sizes are small enough fit easily in the carry on allowance or be tossed in your purse but still hold a good amount of product so you can get quite a few uses out of each. I have fair, mildly sensitive, very acne prone, combination skin. The serum is really lovely and lightweight but provides good hydration. Wears well under makeup and haven't experienced any pilling issues. Just feels really nice and relaxing to put on. It's very light and fresh! Definitely scented so be sure to patch test if you have very sensitive skin

Let's start off by saying that K-Beauty is a whole new world to me. I have never really taken that great of care of my skin until fairly recently. This serum made my skin look and feel wonderful. I mean i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e! My skin felt so baby soft after applying it, and so, so very smooth, even in places where it had been feeling a bit bumpy around my chin and nose. This product soothed my skin very nicely as well. My normally red cheeks were nice and calm, relaxed. It also brightened up my complexion quite a bit. My skin looked absolutely wonderful. I actually stopped and looked at myself in the mirror and thought "Wow! What a difference!", and that RARELY ever happens with a product. My skin was perfectly hydrated the entire day as well, also thanks to this serum. It's a clear gel-type serum with a slight fragrance of green tea that absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin, no problem. When applying it I remember thinking that it felt really nice on my skin, kind of cool. It was not sticky or tacky feeling at all. It did not leave my skin looking or feeling greasy or oily either, like some serums can tend to do. I have combination skin that leans towards the oily side, so it can get oily pretty quickly, and this serum was having none of that. My skin also tends to be on the sensitive side and this product did not bother it in the least. The only thing that I didn't like about this sample was the size- I wish it would have been bigger! :) Another great thing about this serum is the fact that it's actually affordable. You can buy a large jar of it Sephora for only $28! What it is, is a lightweight serum infused with hyaluronic acid and Green Tea Tri-biotics™ to quickly hydrate, visibly soothe, and support the moisture barrier. For Skin Types: Normal, dry, combination, and oily. For Skincare Concerns such as: Dryness, dullness, and uneven texture. This product is best for dry skin. Important Ingredients- Hyaluronic Acid: Five types of hyaluronic acid deliver layers of amplified hydration. For deeper hydration. Green Tea Tri-biotics ™: Support skin's invisible ecosystem and care for the moisture barrier. Jeju Green Tea Extracts: Jeju Green Tea Water and Seed Oil deliver amino acid-rich moisture. This product is known as Intensive Hydrating Serum with Green Tea Seed or Green Tea Seed Serum. I really can't say enough good things about this serum. I'm really enjoying K-Beauty products, as a whole in general! I definitely really recommend checking this product out, and could without a doubt see myself incorporating it into my everyday skincare routine.

I am a fan of Innisfree products, and the balancing emulsion from this line is one of my absolute favorites! However, the serum is just not for me. I have very dry skin and look for serums that will provide me with extra hydration underneath my moisturizer, but whenever I apply this one, I find that it makes my skin feel tighter rather than soothed. I have almost finished my bottle, and though I haven't seen any adverse effects from using it, I haven't seen any benefits either, so it's not worth the slight discomfort. It is also heavily perfumed- the scent is pleasant and caused no reaction to my sensitive skin, but if you tend to have fragrance sensitivity, you may want to avoid this one. Bummer!

Free gift from a pop-up. This serum has a watery texture that absorbs really fast. It leaves my combination skin, towards oily, feeling hydrated with a soft glow but also the tiniest bit sticky. Not a big fan of fragrance but it's very subtle here so I don't mind it. After using in both my morning and nighttime routine, my face appears softer and smoother. Haven't notice any decrease in sebum production but it definitely haven't increased. I would buy the full size as the price is reasonable and the bottle would last me a long time.

I’ve tried close to a million HA serums between all kinds of prices ranges, affordable and luxury both and this is my favorite of all of them. You get a LOT of product for your money, the value is great. I also found this brand through a pop up at its sister brand laneige and I’m a huge fan of everything I’ve tried. This serum smells great like green tea or tea tree it smells fresh and clean. This product helps to reduce the appearance of my dehydration lines (my skin is very dry, dehydrated, sensitive, but chin is easily clogged) and gives my skin a glass like glow. It also feels very nourishing on the skin.

Always a staple in my routine

I've gone through bottles of this stuff and it's always as good as the last. The fragrance is light and fresh, not too overpowering. It really is hydrating and whilst the temptation is there not to follow with moisturising cream (because it is so hydrating), always do so to lock in that moisture. The product is easy to come by given there are a few Innisfree stockists around in major shopping centres, but also easily available online. One pump is good but two is better. It is a little bit more expensive but around Christmas, there are bulk bottles with a lot more product (160ml) which prove to be more economical. I will continue to buy this.

Does the job

Innisfree, as a brand, is really nice for people who are first starting out with Korean skincare. This product is very gentle on the skin and gets the job done. With consistent use, you'll see results but it's not a product that will work as effectively as others. Best to use in conjunction with more powerful products. It is sufficient for young people who don't want to jump straight into a hardcore skincare regime. It's great that innisfree cares for the environment and their packaging and products reflect this.
