Greast pressure cooker, but the air fryer basket is smallI was looking at pressure cookers, but I was also tempted to get an air fryer too. We just don't have the space to store two units, so I was very interested in this unit. Fortunately is was on a special offer, meaning that it was cheaper than buying my preferred separate pressure cooker and air fryer units.I'm happy with my choice with the small reservation (hence 4 stars) about the size of the air fryer basket. you can air fry without the basket meaning the space available is larger, but there's nowhere for the juices to drip away during cooking. As my primary usage of this will be for pressure cooking, I can live with this.In the few days we've had it, I've done a whole 2Kg chicken (28 mins pressure + 10 ... MoreGreast pressure cooker, but the air fryer basket is smallI was looking at pressure cookers, but I was also tempted to get an air fryer too. Pork loin chops in the air fryer weren't quite as successful, I think I did them for too long as they were a bit dry, but it was the first time I'd used an air fryer. Some time thie week I'll be trying oven chips for the first time, hopefully they'll come out better than the hit and miss results I get using the fan oven. The air fryer lid is quite big, but fortunately it just about fits in the cupboard space we freed up for the unit.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and am looking forward to experimenting to find out what it can and can't do well. It certainly should save a few pennies on the electricity bill as it cooks quicker than the oven and uses less than half the power even at full chat!3 people found this helpful

Although we ordered the larger version it's certainly suitable to cook a number of items at the same time, if you have a small kitchen would suggest go for the smaller version, there are 2 lids one of which has to be stored when not in use. Absolutely love my Instant Pot Duo Crisp & Air Fryer Multicooker. Have been using it almost every day for our family evening dinner. It’s bigger than I expected and all foods come out as expected and take less time to make. From stews to roasts to Indian dishes, right to perfection. The air fryer is the best! Crisp up nicely with less oil. There Lots and lots of recipes on YouTube. Even Room for improvising my own recipes. So far all dishes have come out as expected, tasting absolutely amazing. My oven and stove have almost become redundant! Saving on energy too. Definitely worth the money!

I purchased this Instant Pot before Christmas and I can honestly say that I have used it almost every day. I use it for pressure cooking vegetables. Unlike my old pressure cooker it doesn’t seem to overcook them, however I do use a steamer inner pot that I purchased from Amazon. I pressure cook, then roast a chicken which tastes delicious every time. I have done rice pudding, chips, bacon and cheese toasties. Also slow cooked casseroles. It is so versatile and also easy to clean. I am still experimenting and have used recipes from Pinterest which have helped no end. Absolutely Love it!
When this arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. In went some chips to test the air fryer function. It produced the most wonderful crispy chips that I had ever consumed. It takes about 2-3 mins to heat up and then cooked the chips in 15 mins.Great for saving energy and time! The next day I decided to try the pressure cooker function, it has two lids for the multi functions so I attached the pressure cooker lid and cooked a bolognese in 25 mins. It wasn't a great consistency so I switched on the saute function and reduced it further for 5 mins and turned out as the best bolognese I had ever cooked.I've also cooked a whole chicken with the pressure cooker. Its big enough to fit a 5kg chicken in And that was very succulent.I use the instant pot almost daily and ... MoreWhen this arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. I bought this after initially thinking of buying an air fryer. I decided on this one as it combines slow cooking, pressure cooking, air frying and other options. I choose the 6L one as there are only two of us and I thought it would be big enough. I'm already regretting not getting a larger size. I'm still getting used to it. I've used pressure cooking the most, mainly for soup which has been fine. However chicken thighs were over cooked so I will do them for a shorter time next time. Slow cooking option has been great so far in everything I've cooked. I haven't tried the air fryer yet but it seems too small to do a full meal for the two of us. That is my main reason for regretting not buying a larger size. Unsure whether I should buy a separate air fryer as I ... MoreI bought this after initially thinking of buying an air fryer. Makes pressure cooking a breeze. Load the food and liquid, close the lid, enter the cook time. That's it. Takes care of getting up to pressure, cooking and switches itself off. Brilliant.Haven't tried the air fryer yet but looks simple enough.Tip: don't fry in the inner pot before pressure cooking, it's slow and being stainless steel food sticks. Far better to use a non-stick pan on your hob to do any frying and only then transfer to the Instant Pot to pressure cook. Far quicker even including the time to clean the extra pan.
I chose this model after a lot of research on air fryers. Although towards the upper end of price range by comparison with competitor models it has not disappointed in any respect. The two different heads (pressure cooker and air fryer) and range of easy to use cooking controls confer great versatility and the ability to cook almost anything to perfection once you've familiarised yourself with the instructions and experimented for a couple of weeks. Its just the right size, large enough to cook a whole chicken or a joint of meat for a family but equally effective at quickly cooking a pie, pastie or meal for one. Economic in terms of electricity and time e.g. using both heads in succession I cooked a wonderfully tender Ox cheek stew in 50 minutes instead of the usual 5 hours slow cook in the oven. Superb roast potatoes or chips indeed anything we've tried. Well worth the investment if you can afford the initial outlay. Highly recommended.
This is an amazing little cooker. I have always been a little wary of Pressure Cookers - have had an old one in the past and sustained steam burns - but this one seem to be foolproof! The addition of the Airfryer lid makes delicious, tender roast chicken really simple and in under an hour. Roast potatoes done too! Pressure cooked an 8lb turkey for Christmas in 50 minutes, then air fried the top for 10 minutes and whilst it rested, roasted the potatoes! Have made scones in 12 minutes, a veggie filo pastry pie in 20 minutes! Saves so much time and money! And makes cooking, fun!
I had the smaller 5ltr InstantPot, without the airfryer lid, and used it a lot, so I thought I would upgrade to the Duo with lid. I cooked a turkey crown using the pressure cooker and then "browned" it using the air fryer lid. The result was excellent and since then have I cooked numerous "roasties" using the airfyer lid and love it, so quick and so tasty. I alsomade my first rice pudding using the pressure cooker, takes 20 minutes, and tastes delicious. The only gripe, is getting used to putting the airfryer lid on its base for storage, all a bit fiddly, but getting used to it. I also like that I am saving space as I do not need a seperate air fryer, and I just put the airfryer lid away in a cupboard. My favourite and most used kitchen item.
