I have been wanting to try the Instant Pot for awhile now and the minis went on sale so I thought why not. The pot is very small and perfect for a couple or a person who lives alone. The rice cooker can make up to four cups easily and two good size potatoes can fit in the pot to steam. The pot is perfect for all kinds of meals and it takes place of all of the appliances that are all over your counter in your kitchen, less space is so nice! We made ribs the other night for the two of us and they are the best ribs I ever ate, fall off the bone amazing! Love Love Love this Instant Pot Lux Mini!

Terrible! The "sauted" beef before changing to pressure "quick" cook ended up gray & unrecognizable and despite the seasoned stewed tomatoes was a bland waste of time. Much time! I did not retain my receipt, so I rendered the pot unusable and discarded it in the recyclables and wrote it off as a sixty dollar lesson. Keep it simple, people! If you have a stove and pots & pans, you are good to cook! Deal in absolutes! The pot was a bunch of disappointing bells & whistles!

I was so intimidated by both the instructions and my childhood rememberance of my mother's pressure cooker that I asked my grandson to coach me during my first use. Now I know how easy and uncomplicated cooking with my Instant pot is. We used both the saute and pressure cook features . The instant pot is easy to use and my pork chops were tender and flavorful within 12 minutes plus 20 minute depressurizing. Heartily recommend.

This is perfect size for one person. I cannot live without it. I can make a pot of chili just enough for a few meals for me. I can bake potatoes (best baked potato ever)...I've used the saute function to cook pork medallions after baking potatoes. Well worth the price in every way. Easy to clean too.
Got this for Christmas for myself in 2018 and didn’t use it. It got lost amongst the other random kitchen gadgets I don’t use. Well about a month ago I dragged it out and have been using it AT LEAST twice a week. I would use it more but since I work 12-14 hour shifts I am able to make enough so I have leftovers. I only wish they had these in multiple colors lol. Highly recommend!!
The Instant Pot LUX Mini works for me. I was concerned that it might be too small, but that is not the case. Now that I'm an empty nester I did not what to prepare so much food , but I still wanted to cook . The larger versions of the Instant Pot, I probably would have made too much food out of sheer habit. Can't do that because of the size, so now I'm making enough and not tossing out the leftovers. Very easy to use and I simply prepare my own recipes. I leave it on the counter top so it is convenient to use.
This item does a great job of pressure cooking and making soups. I tried the steam option but overdid it so you have to adjust cooking times based on the amount that you’re cooking. You can find great recipes online which I like as well. The only reason I gave it four stars versus five is that it’s pretty bulky and heavy for the 6 quart cooker. The 3qt was too small and really would only work for two people. Other than that I think it’s a good buy.
so far I love it! If you wonder about burning yourself by mistake, don't worry, just use a kitchen towel around your hand and you'll be fine! I used it to heat Amy's Lasagna (on the rack) and learned that I have to put water in the bottom first; next time I'll wrap the entire "bowl" in foil so it doesn't get too steamy. Then I made Sloppy Joe's with soy burger "meat." I definitely liked it better than cooked in a mic or on the stovetop. And I just happen to already have a stainless serving bowl with lid that I will use on the rack to cook items that I want the moisture content to remain the same. It cooks fast, just as promised! Easy to clean up, too.
I love my Instant Pot, I use it on average 3 times a week. I got the mini which is 3 QT and perfect for two people. So far I’ve made rice, numerous times, and it comes out perfect each time. Also, made lentils which was great because I was able to sauté the onions and garlic in the same pot. You can find a lot of recipes online, there are hundreds on You Tube. Good luck and happy cooking.
So I have one problem with it which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. It works well but, unlike any other pressure cooker I've used, this one releases it's pressure out of the lid and shoots a jet stream of steam straight up into the air. I don't like that and may return it. I got this to use in my campervan and have it sitting under a wooden shelf I did not want getting blasted with steam.
