Great item to upgrade my ASUS Prime mATX Z590 and to build in some redundancy. Worked straight out of the box (this is Key E fitting) with no need to fiddle with Bios or drives and it has a significant length on the cable from the chip to the antenna connector (I definitely advise having some cable ties to hand for neat wiring).In terms of performance, it appears very stable and I was easily able to download at 6 Mb/s on Steam which is similar to my hardwired connection.All in all, for £20, i'd highly recommend!

Fixed my WiFi problems with my Lenovo Ideapad 530S! Found a Google hit on Lenovo headaches with intermittent problem with WiFi connections - this particular WiFi card was recommended. There is also Google search hits that talk about whitelist problems and possible BIOS compatibility. I had NONE of those! Pop open the bottom. Remove old WiFi card. Install this new WiFi card. I have a Gigabyte Aero 15 laptop that had a failing network card. It's been intermittent for several years now, occasionally blue screening with a Ntwrk06 error. Most of the time it didn't work, even when the OS was stable. I've tried every driver update I could find to no avail. I finally got around to swapping it with this one. It's not an incredibly hard install, but could be daunting to some. Open the bottom of the computer, pull off a piece of tape, two antennas and a screw. Opposite process to reassemble. It seems to be working with the driver I had before and no indication of instability. Couldn't be happier!

When I open my laptop up and remove the card and put it back in it works fine for a few hours then the same thing happens, starts dropping bluetooth and wi-fi connection intermittently. Even as I type this my bluetooth keyboard is skipping and lagging. When I put in my previous wifi card in (Intel 7265) I experience no problems what so ever. So I have both the Killer AC1535 and the Intel AC 8260 The Killer AC1535 has an issue where if you are downloading a few files and basically put the card under heavy load, it simply disables itself from device manager and thus, disconnecting you temporarily. Although I must add, that going to public places which have different routers, I often find it easier to connect to these networks with the Intel Card. With the Killer AC1535 I had a lot of instances where I would connect to the network but would have no internet connectivity until they restarted their router for some reason. ======================================================================== Now I came across the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC8265 the other day and was very interested in it since it now supports MU-MIMO technology. Communication was fast with the reseller and he shipped it within 1 day I ordered 2 of em to keep 1 as a spare They came in a cardboard box, and actually had an instructions manual and a set of screws so I was all set. do note that on this card, the Black Antenna and White Antenna positions are inverted unlike how they were on the Intel AC8260 and the Killer AC1535, not a big deal but just wanted to let you know. I didn't even have to install any driver since the Intel AC8260 Driver is the same one for the Intel AC8265 I don't know if this is a placebo effect but I feel that my browsing is snappier now, the lag is non-existent when clicking on links as if the page I was clicking on was cached in the background.. The wireless range is not as good as the Killer AC1535 but slightly better than the Intel AC8260 and add to the fact that this card actually works as intended and doesn't disconnect makes it the best WLAN card on the market right now and I highly recommend it. This is NOT a technical review by any means, it is merely a user's perspective. End result, I am happy with this small upgrade!
This is a very good replacement network card for my DEL XPS-15 9530 64bit Win 10 machine. it only took a few minutes to swap out. you will need a small Phillips and a T5 driver. (if you are comfortable with opening your laptop, and as you are here, I assume you are). And be sure to match up white wire with white triangle / black to black. Yes, they are reversed on the new card, but no problem matching them up. Be sure to have the new driver downloaded from the intel site and ready to go just in case. In my case, it worked without doing the (Driver only) installation, but I did do the driver update from the downloaded executable to be sure I was running the latest and greatest.

Retro fitted it to a non Wi-Fi /Bluetooth, Dell Optiplex 9020M desktop with spare a M.2 slot in 22/30. Arial wires were far too long so after an internal circuit of the tiny computer box, they exited on the rear, to the two antenna. Put the lid on and powered up and hey presto, recognised, drivers already installed and after a password or two connected to Wi-Fi router on the 2.4Ghz, with an excellent signal and 300mb/s. Not bad for Fedora 32, Linux. Swapped out the hard drive and booted Ubuntu 20.04, again recognised, configured and working.Works with any Linux O/S I tried including Xubuntu and Fedora Security.Very happy....
