Replaced my old T9UH with this and WOW. Much faster and doesn't disconnect. The other thing that is very interesting is that this adapter doesn't get hot or even warm which is good because there is less thermal fatigue.

The external antenna takes advantage of better line of sight to the router than the internal antenna in the desktop on the floor. One NOTE*** Get a USB 3.x extender cable if you need a 2 meter extension. The USB 2.x extender cables reduce the throughput speed because they cannot handle the data rates of 3.x USB protocols.

My really old laptop had problems picking up weaker wi-fi signals. I added an A8000 and the problem was solved.
Not getting the speed I expected. D-Link adapter has proven to be faster in my home environment. I have Nighthawk router. Will do some more testing.
Very pleased with this purchase. The download of the software to mate the product with my PCs was smooth and incident free. The PCs identified the product and began using it immediately. The transportability of the adapter has been perfect with my moving the adapter from one PC to another. It has performed flawlessly on video calls, web connections and music streaming. Highly recommend the product.
An awesome piece of equipment...performance is amazing.
I bought the A8000 to replace my A7000. I deleted the driver for my A7000 and downloaded the driver for the A8000. I ran several speed tests and found the A8000 to be slower than my A7000. I re-boxed the A8000 and it is decorating my shelf while I have reverted to the use of my A7000. Not sure why the upgraded unit is slower, but the speed test numbers speak for themselves. (My A7000 has a much larger antenna than the A8000, which may have something to do with the slower speed of the latter?)
I used this to improve the speed of my wi-fi on a pretty old computer. This device more than doubled the speed.
Increased my speed 4 times faster compared to my old TP Link adapter. I have StarLink so I really get good speeds now.
