Purchased this cpu for 1299 Zt. For this price it is a great cpu. Almost the same as 13th Gen, so you can pick either one that is cheaper. I do recommend using DDR5 RAM with this cpu, it will give you some extra performance in certain games, up to 10% from my experience. I have Noctua Redux cooler, the cheapest cooler from Noctua, and it’s absolutely enough for this cpu, I’ve never seen the temperature above 70 degrees during gaming.

The specs are nearly same as predecessor (i5-13600K), I just opted out for this model for extra one year support from Intel. If you are building a new PC like me or upgrading from 10th generation or lower, this processor would be a good option. Otherwise, you can use older generations.

I can't get over how much bad press 14th gen gets, this seems to match another machine tested with a 13th gen i7 (not k) whilst having 2 less cores and drawing less powerNot sure if I'm lucky or 14th really does have a better imc, but have a 7200mhz kit running at 7400mhz nicely...For the price I just feel its really good bang for the buck, coming from an i9 from a few gens back i can't get over the difference in performance. With everything so powerful now I'm not convinced even this is needed. Just a shame good motherboards cost so much now.Paid the same for this cpu as I did for a pentium 3 500mhz many years ago! Factor inflation and I genuinely think this is a good price.

I was looking to upgrade from my i7-8700 and the 14600K has been a great upgrade from that! It's way faster than my last CPU, and I've yet to see it use more than 50% of its capacity from what I've noticed. I've had absolutely no problems with it so far and I doubt I'll have any issues in the future. Thanks very much!
This CPU is a good entry level for mid range. I would recommend to get it on sale. You can do a lot with this. Obviously depends on use case for your needs. For gaming and light school/office work it’ll be fine.
This is the second one I’ve bought in the last few weeks because the price point is landing perfectly atm.Wanted to upgrade the wife’s PC but she’s adamant her 4790K is enough.(New wives are available).
I'd say it's a decent processor for the value of money if you're not going for a high-end gaming PC. But before purchasing, be aware of the issue with this generation of processors, I got lucky and had no issues with mine yet after updating it via bios. But I'd recommend others to wait until the 15th gen ones are out and avoid this gen of processors incase you get the "bad apple".
