Works very well, as does the software. Lights along the front clearly inspired by a Tesla Powerwall 2.Be aware though that it only has IEC outlets which is annoying if you need to connect some power adaptors with UK 3-pin plugs. You will probably have to buy in a power strip with IEC plug. It would have been better to sacrifice a couple of IEC sockets for one UK mains one.

Pros: Does what it said on the tinCons: Nothing.
Using one of these to protect a gaming rig, home server and router/wifi API - and another for my TV and games console - from power issues. It gives me approximately 5-10 minutes to safely power down under full load, and about 45 minutes with just the server and networking kit.The USB connection can be used with apcupsd on Linux (with a little tweaking) to automatically schedule a shut down. It's also possible to use this to connect to Home Assistant - again, with a reasonable amount of tweaking involved! So why is it scary? Well, it has a yellow battery disconnect tab that you need to install before first use. I purchased two of these - and in both cases, inserting this caused a loud, bright arc. Well, it has a yellow battery disconnect tab that you need to install before first use. I purchased two of these - and in both cases, inserting this caused a loud, bright arc. Push it in quickly and it's totally fine, but there are ways of mitigating this arcing which they've chosen to omit - presumably for cost reasons.Second, the inverters that run when it's on battery power are loud and buzzy - and for the first couple of changovers you'll hear some crackling noises from the relays when they close. It's a bit alarming in the home environment, especially when all the lights have just gone out.So far, though, I'm happy with these!
Backup during power outages works well. It does make a beeping noise while the outage is on, but if fully charged it is minimal. As the battery runs down it becomes more frequent, by then I have switched off. The only down side for me is that it does not have a 3-point plug point, which means due to my laptop battery adapter I had to purchase a universal adapter with the correct fittings. Additional cables for the screens backup is readily available and affordable.
Pros: The price is ok for a 1600VA UPSCons: I've returned it because the batteries are not replaceable. This was confirmed by APC support.
