This pool is perfect for our small family of 3. We all fit nicely inside the pool without feeling crowded. It’s a little tricky to get set up… though the company claims it’s easy “fast-set”… what works for us is to fill about 2 feet and then with 2 people to stretch out the bottom from both the inside and out together. Make sure you place this on level ground before filling. It takes us about 8 hours to completely fill the pool. We have now added a filter and clean the pool daily and use the cover to keep the water clean longer so that it doesn’t have to be emptied after every use. It’s not very expensive and keeps the family cool during the summer. No RETURNS by ACADEMY!!! I would say to stay away from intex all together. Their quality has gone down not only in cheap pools but also expensive ones. This one came with holes traight from the box. Followed repair instructions that came with it and made it worse.... DONT pvc glue like intex says... it makes the pool brittle. I had to spend 20 dollar more on a repair kit.. even after repairs the factory valve in the bottom leaks. The vinyl used in this pool is so thin it gets holes on a weekly basis.not worth it !

Air Leaks

We have had an intex easy set pool prior we were hoping buying a bigger size may mean that it would be made better but nope same horrible flimsy material. Do yourself a favor and review other straight side upright pools ... these intex pools go by the base measurements so to stand you lose at least 2 feet width/circumference. The ladder for the price is flimsy. Thankful we returned it before it was too late. On delivery the outer box that lowes had put around the product was all torn. I will never buy another intex product

Awful design

I was so happy to get this pool, then immediately disappointed in my purchase.I put it up in the same spot as my other pools have been for 8 years because the ground is already flat, packed and sharp object free.Got it filled, used it one day, then started losing water. Filled it daily thinking it was the extreme heat… then saw a wet spot at the bottom and heard the leak!!The seam at the very bottom split apart. I’ve been attempting to repair with their patches and my own knowledge and different products but still leaking due to the place it’s leaking… it is the worst place ever and it’s a product malfunction!Very aggravating to spend this much and only use it one day🤬

Frustrating beyond belief

Highly disappointed! The pump is inadequate , the valve that puts the water back in the pool after filtering keeps popping off. I have lost a lot of water. I called customer service and they are sending a new liner but how is that going to make a difference? My sister has a pool a little larger than mind and her equipment is so much better. Intex should offer options on the filters. And provide better clips. So frustrating. Check the filters before ordering.

Great starter pool. Remember to keep that ring up

Make sure you check the ring weekly when you add chlorine shock and change filter. My pool collapse do to me not checking the ring and a storm came made the water make a wave lowest point push down on it half the world was gone filter holes popped off it was crazy.however, this pool is amazing it's big enough for my whole family which is a family of six it's big enough for every adult to have an inner tube and the kids to have an attitude still have fun I love it you'll love it too make sure the ground is even and you're good to go.I found that scraping the top layer of grass off and standing back was a easy way to determine high sides vs low sides. I then chopped up the high side and dumped the debris on the low side then stomped on it. But once you do that, put the pool on top and fill it. It evens out fine!

We got tired of having to replace the childrens garden pool every few years because of both punctures and unattractive discolouration of the plastic. Garden pools are particularly expensive during the summer months while they dont last very long at least not when exposed to our overactive children. Yet with our southfacing inner city patio it can get really hot in summer, so the children do need some water play facility.These Intex pools seemed of much stronger, durable design. Also, in case they prove to be as sturdy as expected the Intex pools offer addon options and accessories like a cover and perhaps a filter at a later stage. Moreover the reviews were good. I was tempted to order the larger and higher 8feet pool, but as we have limited outside space it seemed wiser to stick to the smaller 6feet variant.The pool came neatly presented in a a 60 x 40 x 12 cm box, this is important as it implies there pool doesnt require too much storage space also given that only the top ring is inflatable, this pool is easy to deflate and subsequently easy to fold in a compact manner. Included are 3 filterhole plugs 1 spare that youll have to put in place if you lack this accessory. There is also a filter connection part that remains unused in my case for now. Youll have to make sure you place the pool on a level area and on a floor cover. We already had a collection of inter lockable rubber playgym mats on which we placed the pool to have a soft seating and to protect the bottom. Then youll have to inflate the top ring, for this a nonelectrical pump is advised. In order to spare me the effort of finding our pump, I just inflated it by mouth, which took less than 2 minutes and a few deep breaths. During the early stages of filling with water youll then have to make sure to straighten out the bottom mat of the pool. All in all, the set up is less burdensome than a full inflatable childrens pool. However, filling the pool with water took about 40 minutes and a lot of water be aware that these Intex pools require a substantial quantity of water as they are 2x to 3x as deep as the average inflatable garden pool for young children. So there is a cost to that, and in times of severe drought you may be reprimanded by you neighbours for putting such pool in place.Nevertheless the outcome was very satisfying. Its is really nice and even a luxury also for grown ups to have a reasonably deep pool outside during hot weather. Its very refreshing for dad to cool down and enjoy a beer in the sun. And the children have a lot of fun with it every day when the weather allows.Most importantly the material of this Intex pool is of high quality, it is made of thick layers plastic that can endure some wild childrens water play. Even the inflatable top ring seems much more durable than a traditional childrens pool.The only drawback is that is lacks standing sides and a supportive top ring. So you cant really relax and hang on the sides as you will push it down and the water will flow out. Similarly, when our youngest, 6year old enters the pool he will lean on the top ring for support, but this will cause water to flow out.We have already bought a cover that will keep the water clean and that helps to heat it up a little, I keep this in lace with ratchet straps. Ive also ordered a somewhat treacherous but affordable pool heater, well see how that works out. The next step would be an investment in an Intex filter. In the mean time Im looking into adding a wellmeasured amount of chemicals to the water to keep it clean for more than two days we live in a hardware area and after a couple of days of intensive play the water gets milky and unclear.But overall, very, very pleased with this pool. Highly recommended.

Just dont

“Easy setup” .. no!!! It’s been about four hours trying to set this up and it’s still not going right. Pretty sure there will be no swimming in this thing. It fills up about half way and starts pouring out the sides. Only the top inflates. You are supposed to just fill it with water and it’s supposed to do this rest. Also if it did even work you’re apparently really supposed to buy an expensive pump and cover and all this stuff for it. My kids are so bummed! I should have bought a $20 inflatable pool.

Our pool setup was not satisfactory.

I flattened my yard (paid for sand fill and everything), placed the pool, and filled it. The pump did not work. The company sent a new one, but while waiting, the water became filthy so I had to drain it. The pool on the tarp creates an awful smell that is unbearable. When the new pump arrived, we placed the pool again, filled it again, and the next morning, the side collapsed. I’m sure the Florida sun is hard on the plastic, but completely unsatisfied that we didn’t even have one month with it. We drained the pool again, and the tarp and pool smell was awful again. I wouldn’t recommend this combination for anyone in Florida. Our neighbors have a smaller version, and the side collapsed after a couple weeks in the sun too.

Who knows what the value is

I purchased this pool in February 2022. The price I paid was $705, twice the price it is today.Setup took WAY longer than advertised. This pool needs to be on an absolute level surface. Even the slightest incline will result in the pool filling inappropriately and causing filter problems. The inflatable ring got several leaks over the summer and it was an endless string of disappointments. And lastly, the pool cover never fit well and always came off.
