I bought the Intimina Ziggy 2 for its claims of being suitable for “mess free” sex during menstruation. I’ve tried menstrual cups before and I did not like them, finding them uncomfortable to wear and messy to change in public. I also experienced frequent leaks meaning I had to wear pads, defeating the object. When trying out the Ziggy 2 I was concerned about discomfit for myself and partner during sex, the disc being dislodged leading to an unpleasant “gush” (!!!) and that it would negatively affect sensation or activities. I needn’t have been concerned at all. The first use I didn’t tell my partner I was wearing it until after and he said he didn’t notice it at all! It stayed in place no problems.I’ve used it in daily life and find it comfortable although I can feel it at the anterior of my body.I experienced a very very small leak on three occasions, once when i felt I had not inserted it correctly but left it as I wasn’t sure, and twice when it was full. Insertion was tricky, but after a few practices I worked out what worked with my body and could tell it was in the optimal position.Changing in public is still as messy and annoying as a menstrual cup but I find that if I take a bottle of water and a pack of wipes with me then it’s easier to deal with. All in all a great success and highly recommended.

If I could give this a zero I would in a heartbeat. This should not be offered or stored in stores. I've been a mentrual disc user for a little over a year. I switched to a disc after having extremely long, heavy, and painful periods and have tried a few different options. In a pinch, I purchased this disc because it was reusable and that is my preference. If I could have this removed from shelves I would. First, there are no instructions for how to properly sanitize and clean this product before and in between usage. It is dangerous to assume peoplewill know, especially young women who are not familiar with similar products. Second, the packaging of this product makes it impossible to fully unbend. It does not fit well and form a circle. I boiled this for 5 minutes ... MoreIf I could give this a zero I would in a heartbeat. This should not be offered or stored in stores. It does not fit well and form a circle. I boiled this for 5 minutes based on the instructions of a different product altogether, and this disc still did not correct it's shape. Third, the rim of the disc is too thick and too hard. I've had thicker discs with softer material and thinner discs with similar material, but this combination makes it extraordinarily painful to insert and position, even after lubricating with water on the heaviest day of my flow. Last, the disc does not stay in position. Because of the oval shape, instead of circular, and the hard rim, it does not stay in place well and is ineffective. This product should be removed from all stores and the makers should do some serious reengineering if they want to continue to sell.

I bought it two cycles ago. I was so hopeful not willing to use tampons anymore and happy to discover a product that can work with my IUD (regular cup has a succion effect that removes it). I manage to put it in and watched all the Instagram video but removing it full of blood is just a mess. You have to do it in the shower and there is no other option. Also I have leaks and even with menstrual panties I got blood on my clothes. I want to persevere but I really don’t get how it can work. Is it a body type problem ? Can we see videos of demonstration of how to remove it full ? Can we have a scheme with cup / tampons and ziggy cup installed at the same time to understand the difference of placement ?

Material is nice

Bought the Ziggy cup 2 size B through Amazon. I’ve been trying for over 3 cycles to get this disc to work but it still leaks when my flow goes from light to medium. Contacted Intimina for support and was told that since I bought their product from Amazon there was no guarantee on their product but did offer “tips” that I have already tried and basically suggested their other products that I should try. I’m sorry but I already bought an overpriced reusable menstrual product that doesn’t work, I not going to buy another overpriced product that will probably give me the same results as the original product gave me. This company has definitely left a negative impression on me and I will not suggest this company or their products to anyone.

So far the better period cup
27 May 2022

My Ziggy B arrived just in time to try it for a cycle. This is not my first adventure with a period cup. I used a Diva cup for years but I always found it leaked or just get off - I could never get a good seal, having a tipped cervix. So I had given up and when back to tampons. When I saw this one I figured why not try it - the period sex option was very appealing. The first day or so I was anxious, checking for leaks, which I had one minor one. It does take a bit to get used to how to insert for your body but by day 3 I got the hang of it and no concerns - I went all day and an after work mountain bike session and it stayed in place. I also experimented with a vibrator solo sessionwith no issues.

Super cute and soft but not so functional
20 July 2023

Tried using this multiple times but leaks galore every time. I wanted it to work like the flex disc (which I’ve never had problems with leaks whatsoever) but with it’s double rimmed lip it was just impossible to get it to work without leaking. It would always be positioned exactly how the flex disc was so I assumed it would catch everything just like the disc. Nope. It would move around up in there and inevitably all of the blood would end up being caught UNDER the cup portion instead of on top of/inside the cup. I really wanted to like this as it was super soft and all around cute for a period product, but unfortunately this just wasn’t the product for me.

Decided to try the B disc (hot pink) after moving away from pads. Previously have tried the Iva with a d cup but it was incredibly uncomfortable and painful (increased cramping). I watched a few reviews about this disc and wanted to give this a go with my expectations being pretty tempered but positive. Super super impressed and surprised at how comfortable (no increased cramping) and easy to use this disc is. I think I have the placement correct as I have not had any leaks. The only few/minor downsides are the removal and the insertion, both being a little tricky. I've decided that I won't be removing fully to dump when I'm out and about for my day, just tipping to prevent overflow. Also, hope to be inserting and removing only at home so I can ensure that it's ... MoreDecided to try the B disc (hot pink) after moving away from pads. It seems every vacation my husband and I are able to schedule around work and kids gets ruined by my period. I researched this product a morning on one such trip where my period started the beginning of a couple vacation. My next trip was 3 months later but sure enough when I counted days, once again my period was scheduled to start the second day. I used the Ziggy cup and there were no leaks, no discomfort for either of us. I promptly washed it, reinserted it and wore it several hours in a swimsuit with no additional products and no leaks. I recommend this product and my husband agrees! I would have shut the door on intimacy day one and two of my period but this is a great problem solver. If you are the type of lady to stand up and see drips on the floor, this might be a solution for you. I bought this product 2 years ago as the regular cups didn't have the capacity for my flow. The quanitity of blood this thing can hold is intense.Does it leak? With my flow, yes. However, not much and if I pair it with period underwear, it buys me up to 4 hours. Which is the first time in my life I've been able to leave the house on these days without panic. Will it last the night?Sadly not. Don't throw away the towel yet.Could I have sex with it?Hahahaha. NoIs it comfy?Absolutely! I forget I'm wearing it.

I had used the original ziggy cup for the last few years and was already so impressed but found it a little uncomfortable inserting it (not painful, just a bit odd), I just put it down to the nature of the product. I found it dislodged a little when going to the toilet, without bearing down, but again, didn’t find this annoying, I just came to expect it.I went to order a new one, as it had discoloured slightly and stumbled across the new size.
