Waited for quite a while for the shipping, but it was entirely worth it. My dad used to wear the original Issey from the 90s and this certainly takes a lot of inspiration form that one, but with a punchy, spicy tone.On the skin it starts off very powerful and has low notes of spice and citrus, making the offset striking but desirable nevertheless. But very soon, it mellows out into a splendid array of warm amber with hints of wood and citrus. This middle portion has a great aura. Smelling it directly is nice and spicy, but the sillage is truly wonderful, and I believe is the best part about it. Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey Pour Homme Intense is a simple yet addictive fragrance. It has a mixture of fruits as its top notes such as yuzu, bergamont and various types of oranges. The middle notes include nutmeg, lotus, cinnamon, cardamom and saffaron which give the fragrance a spicy edge. The base notes include incense, papyrus, ambergris, benzoin and amber to give it a subtle sweet twist. It lasts a decent 6 hours and can be used as your daily fragrance!

Every note is very well blended so everything works together. I was surprised there is no official note of any black or pink pepper. It's got a great atmospheric quality to it. It's not over powering, yet at the same time it's not weak. Even with 5 sprays on there is nothing offensive or headache inducing as there is with certain fragrances I own. If you're into dark oriental fragrances and want something a little different this is for you.This is quite easy to pull off and a pretty good dumb reach. Some fragrances this subtly reminds me of is a more youthful Drakkar Noir, something similar to Malizia Uomo but way higher quality ingredients and comes off more complex. Of anything that is the most similar. Armani Acqua Di Gio (original) for the citrus freshness or Armani code (original) without the tonka bean (vanilla like) note and more citrus. I would recommend this to someone as their first fragrance, yet someone a bit more grown up or sophisticated could pull it off. It's an every day wear sort of scent, office friendly perhaps, maybe suits and ties where but there are betters out there. School, work, date night, a pretty good one for intimate moments though there are better or something different to wear to the club instead of the usual 2 or 3 that everyone wears.Projection and longevity are a bit above average. Is it the most unique scent ever made? Not by a long shot but still for 20$ I haven't been this impressed in a while. If this was more beast mode and projected better I'd get it. So far I like my nuit argent by Issey Miyake more.

This is such a beautiful blend of floral,earthy,and some spicy notes. It is all balanced so well and is such a relaxing scent except…the smoke note in this just wrecks it for me. I love incense notes and even a smoky note if it’s subtle but here it smells like a spa that is located across the street from a factory,lol! I hate to rip on this one because it could be so nice and I don’t want to sound like one of many fragrance snobs,but I just don’t get why they added that note. I have heard nothing but good things about this brand,though,and can’t wait to try another one of their many fragrances! Most from their line are very reasonably priced as well!

Bought for my partner (43). He usually wears Paco Rabanne, Lacoste, Givenchy or Boss. We like fairly strong masculine scents on him. He tried this instead of the lighter L'eau D'Issey, which he finds too fruity. This scent has a more masculine musky scent which suits him for daytime. He doesn't feel it is heavy enough or lasts long enough for evening wear. Fine for the price, considering the size of bottle, he can douse himself in it.😄

Brings compliments after over 12 hours

This is just great to wear also as a woman. I am 51 yrs old now and have seen how perfumes change so much on you as you go through all different hormonal events in your life - pregnancy, menopause! This, on its own or combined with a sweeter vanilla scent ALWAYS brings compliments . . and mainly from men. Sophisticated, mysterious and SEXY. Lasts for over 12 hours as well

Great Scent, Doesn't Last

I love the original L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme so I decided I would give this a blind buy. On first application you can tell it's a totally different scent but you can get notes of the original Issey Pour Homme once the intial smell wears down. Most of the time fragrances labeled "Intense" are usually a stronger scent of the original but this one is different and personally for me I believe that the origninal Issey actually has better staying power. With that said while it may not stay around for long and project well, this cologne is good for intimate encounters where you may not need as strong a scent, or an office setting where you don't want to offend someone that may be turned off by the scent or colognes in general.

I have used Issey Miyaki l'eau d'Issey pour homme for some years. I saw the 'Intense' option last year at airport and tried the smaller (75ml/2.5floz) size for holiday toilet bag. I liked it so much I bought the 125ml. Arrived promptly, well packaged at a competitive price. Very satisfied.

I love this fragrance and normally keep it for special nights. I tried to get some in several quality perfume shops Tenerife recently, but they had none on display, and the airline had also sold out. Seeing this at such a great price it was a no-brainer! And even better to realise that I'd been comparing 8t with the price I usually paid for 75ml, but it was actually 125ml! At that price I can afford to use if more often.which I shall! A terrific fragrance that lasts the entire evening.

Very Impressive For an Eau de Toilette

Bought this blind based on the notes looking for a new fragrance. The longevity is very Impressive and has lasted all day, especially for an eau de toilette. The citrus notes can be a bit in your face if you're not expecting it but it soon calms down and you have lovely balanced middle notes. It's the drydown that's my favourite part, beautiful. The bottle can be a pain if you're disabled though, not the most practical and requires some strength to open it.
