This spray in my opinion is very similar to the Calvin Klein. Not a bad thing, however it's not for me. It lasts a long time after spraying so that's a great benefit. I would not personally reach for this, as I enjoy a more fruity-sweet smell for myself. If my partner wanted to wear this- I would absolutely get it for him. It's a great scent, just not for me personally. But if you want a long lasting scent this would be the one for you. As far as I am concerned, there isn't an Issey Miyake fragrance I have not liked and this is no exception. My husband loves it too and surprisingly, it did not trigger allergies for either of us, which is often the case with other fragrances. What I also love about Issey Miyake fragrances is I find that they compliment each other when worn together. Le Sel d'Issey has a fresh sea-breeze-like scent with distinct cedar notes. Clean aquatic opening, salty and airy. I don't know what it is but it really gives the impression of salt in the opening, like the fragrance has some sort of crystalline quality. Oakmoss earthiness is in there as it develops but overall impression is dry and airy. Lasts all day on skin and virtually forever on clothes, but does not have loud projection. Intriguing without being too complex.Reminds me of coastal scrubland on a hot, dry day. I’ve used Issey Miyake for a number of years now as to me their scent is very unique. I’ve never tried the Le Sel D’Issey before so i was very intrigued to see what this scent was like. It lasted well over 12 hours and I could still smell it very strong after the 12 hours and that was only after 3 sprays of the bottle. It comes in the typical small tester bottle and packaging. I would definitely now go and purchase a bigger bottle of this as I really liked the strong smell of this and how long it has lasted. It does smell a little like other Issey Miyake products but this has got to be one of the more stronger scents. I would definitely recommend this if you are wanting to be noticed and asked about the scent you are wearing. For me it’s a 10/10.

All the same, it's a fresh, marine, woody fragrance that I really liked. So much so, I found a 100ml bottle gift case (with shower gels) for a great price, and purchased it for my collection. Not for fall and winter, or for nights out, but I'll be sure to be wearing it come spring/summer.It projects well and lasts, although it's not a strong smelling fragrance, perfectly suitable for most occasions and for the office. I was quite excited by this release, as L’eau D’issey is one of my favourite summer fragrances. Also, the perfumer, Quentin Bisch has produced some of my all time fragrances, such as EP Bois Imperial, Wanted by Night, Gucci Guilty Elixir and JPG Le Beau.Unfortunately, Le Sel D’issey didn’t live up to my expectations. It is a very nice summery fragrance (the timing of the release is odd), a salty, marine fragrance. However, it smells almost identical to Aqua Di Gio Profondo, which can be picked up for much cheaper. Its biggest quality is, however, that it has great silage and longevity which you would associate with a Quentin Bisch fragrance.Would I buy it? Not really as I already have ADG Profondo

I have had a tester on my desk for a couple of days, the smell radiates off the skin going from Woody and moss, to fresh salt and ocean marine.Top notes of sea salt and ginger, mid notes of vetiver and seaweed, base notes of Cedarwood. I live the way that different sent’s seem to pop off the skin, awakening your olfactory to its individual notes and love the way that sea salt really helps to enhance the oceanic accord.While it could be seen as a unisex fragrance for me this is definitely more masculine. Even as an eau de toilette this lasts very well on the skin be careful not to over apply. This certainly will help you to stand out of the crowd, it’s very pleasant on the nose and completely unique.
