We were using an old laptop and speakers for our weekly hybrid Zoom meeting (some participants online as well as 4-8 users in a room), and had limitations on how we could setup the AV equipment. We were a bit apprehensive about purchasing the Jabra but it was so easy to setup and use, and has made our meeting much more user friendly. (no more speaker leads and power plugs). The audio volume is good, (not great - but is sufficient for our needs) and it's improved the online participants experience having the mic closer to the people speaking in the room. Very Happy with the purchase.

I travel a lot for business and I have this speaker dual homed to my laptop (via USB) and cell phone (via Bluetooth), and it works great as a portable speaker phone for travel. Ive tested it on both Skype for Business calls and Cisco Jabber calls, and the sound quality is amazing. In comparison to my PC, iPhone 7+ and my Microsoft HD webcam mic, this product has the best microphone sensitivity and background white noise cancellation. Ive successfully used this speaker on a recent model IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad, HP Elitebook, and a Dell Latitude business-grade laptop model. The speaker has performed flawlessly on all of them. Last month I had to take a call in a network room where the speaker was literally placed 12 away from a Cisco 3750 switch, and the conference participants couldnt hear the background fan noise from the switch. Id say the background noise cancellation is probably the best Ive ever experienced from any Speakerphone model. If I could rate this item 6/5 stars, I would.

I bought this speaker at the recommendation of the store employee. Upon initial set up, it was quite intuitive to use. In other words, it was a "plug-and-play" device. Battery can last for about 15 hours, which is heaps. The microphone was great to around 3-4m range, and the speaker was good for a similar or greater range. This really helped with the Zoom attendees for our meeting. We've used it twice now, in around 1 month. It might feel a little pricey to buy a speakerphone like this, but it's guaranteed for 10 years. The plug and play aspect means it's minimal hassle, and the benefits of being heard without having to shout at the speaker quickly become evident :) The only downside is that the audio source can be a little weird to set up, after disconnecting the ... MoreI bought this speaker at the recommendation of the store employee. I love this thing.Pros: - Acts as a standard USB audio device, making it plug-and-play compatible with any OS, and even your smartphone with an adapter. - Bluetooth pairing works very well, and can be toggled at the touch of a button. - Audio quality isnt as good as my wired PC headset (I wouldnt expect that from a speakerphone), but its way better than my phones earpiece/mic or speakerphone functions. People say it sounds very good. (I typically sit about 3 feet from the speaker at my computer desk, but have used it over slightly longer distances with good effect.) - Touch controls on the device are very good (not perfect, but thats because Im someone who prefers physical buttons). - Turning the device off disconnects the USB audio device from your PC, meaning that ... MoreI love this thing.Pros: - Acts as a standard USB audio device, making it plug-and-play compatible with any OS, and even your smartphone with an adapter. - Bluetooth pairing works very well, and can be toggled at the touch of a button. - Audio quality isnt as good as my wired PC headset (I wouldnt expect that from a speakerphone), but its way better than my phones earpiece/mic or speakerphone functions. This makes it reasonably portable, easily stowed in a backpack or whatever youre traveling with.Cons: - Bluetooth audio quality isnt as good as USB audio quality, but this is really the fault of the Bluetooth hands-free profile that is used. I would love to see these devices support a newer profile so that audio quality were higher. But, if its that important to you, just plug the USB in. - Touch controls for answering/ending calls do not present to the computer as a standard USB keyboard. This means you need the Ja.

When the Speak 510 arrived I connected it to my same computer with the USB connection. This time I went into the computers control panel section for audio and turned off the internal microphone and speaker on the computer. PRESTO! I have now been using the Speak 510 everyday for 2 weeks and not 1 complaint for an echo, the speaker quality is also very good. There is no doubt in my mind that if I would have done this same process of turning of the internal microphone and speaker on the computer I would not have had any echo issues with the Speak 410. I would now highly recommend either the Speak 410 or the Speak 510. I use Avaya as.

Very nice and high quality audio device. In brief, it mimics the conference speaker and microphone compo that you often see in every conference rooms desks. It is a pretty compact and it comes with a pouch for you to carry it around while traveling. The software allows you to flash new firmware to the device. Works extremely well on MAC upon downloading the Jabra Suite for MAC. The mute button works extremely well, it is digital and has red LED to shows mute on/off. It also has volume control with white LED showing the volume level. Call and hangup buttons work well with Skype but are not currently supported by other apps such as Wizeberry Chime. I join several calls daily form my laptop and I tested at least 3 other devices and nothing in this price range match up to the Jabra 410. Quality and ease of operation make this unit the only unit i would highly recommend.

This speaker is my everyday unit. I use this for all my calls, as I often work remotely and all my calls are done VoIP (through the computer). I often sit on calls that are upwards of two hours long, so I prefer not to keep an earpiece in (even the most comfortable unit gets a little annoying after being on all day). This offers excellent sound quality for both myself and my audience, and best of all- it doesn’t sound like I’m talking over a speaker. The charger port/USB is fully integrated and nests within the base of the unit, so it won’t accidentally detach or be lost. And because it’s a standard USB, this will work with just about any piece of technology you have. It’s held up for two years so far with no issues at all.

The sound quality is clear and there have been no complaints about my voice clarity on the other end of calls. The unit plugs and plays with PC/laptop without the need for driver installation and automatically takes over from your inbuilt speakers (great if your admin has restricted software installs to your work laptop). I have mine simultaneously paired with my iPhone, so I can alternate between phone and PC remote meeting platforms (tried with Loopup, Zoom, Team, Skype and Hangouts platforms) and it works well on all of them. I have 2 gripes so far and deducted 1 star accordingly. I have 2 gripes so far and deducted 1 star accordingly. Firstly, when connected to your laptop and to a Bluetooth phone simultaneously, and you are on a PC based conference call, if you get a notification sound on your phone of an incoming message or similar, your PC conference call sound cuts out temporarily. Secondly, disappointingly I found that the USB cable is hard-wired into the speaker and not user changeable. As the most vulnerable part of this kit and the first thing likely to fail, you cannot simply replace a failed or damaged cable without factoring in the cost and inconvenience of a repair. I leave the inbuilt cable wrapped around the unit base and instead use a 3rd party extension cable from the plug to the laptop to hopefully reduce the risk. Not ideal, but at least my extension will get the wear and tear and this is replaceable. Overall a solid piece of kit and glad I purchased despite the negative points mentioned above.

Life and ear saver

This thing literally saved my life. If it weren’t for this external speaker my ears would be broken. The sound quality is excellent. Not just of the people you talk with, but also of you when you talk. There is no echo that is caused when I speak through the speakerphone to people on the line. I have never gotten any comments back from anyone that it is difficult to hear; in fact, it has been just the opposite. Most people I talked to after I first got this device commented on how clear and easy it is to understand compared to other people. My husband even used it to do remote music teaching during the pandemic. The quality of the sound was still good despite the louder volume. The one thing I think I can suggest that Jabra develop is AI that can determine when to mute people because they are inappropriately off mute or just otherwise stupid, and then send a signal to that person’s computer to mute them or - even better - just drop them from the call. That would save a lot of uncomfortable discussions.

Only for quiet environments, but then a smartphone alone would work as well.

I needed it when making Skype/whatsapp calls with my phone when talking to grand parents. When the kids make noise and talk it is sometimes difficult to hear the other end as they get cut off so I thought this Jabra Speak would solve it as it says it is full-duplex. However it does not work in full duplex (i.e. sound should) so it is not better than using the phone. The only improvement is that the sound is slightly more powerful than using the phone's built-in loudspeaker. Another drawback with Jabra Speak over the build-in mic and speaker is that when the other party starts to speak they sound is attenuated for about the first 2 seconds. I think they are enough for a fairly quiet office or room, but with kids around or in a noisier office or factory they are sometimes not powerful enough or on the limit. It's quite easy to use, but it is more work than using the smartphones built in mic/speaker of course. And you have to go find the thing and you have to connect the bluetooth and you have to have it charged and you have to carry it around together with the phone if you want to move around in the room/house. If you are more than 2-3 meters from the Jabra Speak no one will hear you. If you use video the sound will also come from another direction than the video if the Jabra and the smartphone are not right next to each other which can be a bit weird especially for kids.
