Really held off buying these over a year for the horrible reviews... But I finally decided to take a chance. I wasnt impressed with the small amount in each pack but the taste was about what I expected or comparable to their other jerky. Still so nervous trying them after reading all these reviews!! We really needed protein being shut in without ability to drive to the store so it was the best option I could find.... It seemed decent but I only got one pack, so I went to order another couple packs for family to try and tell me what they think... and the price was increased by over 2 a pack!! This was only in a month!! Im willing to give this a try and a good review if justified, when its a fair price and quality, etc. improves. Wed even be willing to sample your products and give honest feedback! My family all love jerky and would eat more from your company if you guaranteed it wasnt old, scraps that fell off the machines and other things people on here are claiming which I really hope is wrong. Little pieces dont bother us but quality meat, handled with love and upmost cleanliness are paramount. Another plus would be local meat without hormones or full of antibiotics etc... As organic and natural as possible is best. Be known as the ones who Put the love and care back into food production! Please notify us of any big coupons, samples etc. If things with pricing get resolved, we would like to try 2-4+ packs total per month and if you ask for a good price point for bulk discount wed be happy with about 10-12 per pack of this weight or a bit larger as the little bags could use a bit more for a snack size. I bought this pack to try as part of "try all" exercise. The texture is between soft and hard (not like some jerky that is extremely dry). The Teriyaki flavour is nice to introduce some variety, but I wouldn't eat it every day. For regular consumption, I prefer the natural taste.The 25g is on the smaller side, but it can work, actually I find 30g is the optimal.In that sense the 70g packaging is not enough to make 3x25g, and a bit more than 2x30g... Well, not a big difference, but some consistency would make sense.As for ingredients, the second ingredient is sugar, the third is salt. Sugar is in fact 20%, salt is 5%. (Wild West Original has the similar sugar, but only 4% salt). Hits The Spot

I find Jack's jerky perfect for where I need protein and don't have time or access to cook. For example if I'm on a overnight hike. After a long day of hiking, you need protein to recover for next day and jerky "hits the spot" and tastes better than a protein bar. Also nice to take snowboarding so don't have to stop and pay for overpriced lunch on mountain. The sugar content is a little high but much better than alternatives. I highly recommend.

Tasty for a treat but…

It’s tasty with a *nice* amount of resistance when you chew. I certainly finished the packet with all my teeth intact. I wouldn’t buy it for everyday consumption because the price is a bit inhibitive for us but it’s okay for a treat (especially when it’s on offer).Incidentally, the main selling point is a bit cheeky! At risk of sounding like the ‘sugar police’ the meat might be 100% beef and high in protein but the rest of the ingredients are not! Including the sugar.

The Worst Beef Jerkey Ever!

This is, without a doubt, the nastiest beef jerky I have ever eaten. I purchased it based on reputation, but what a mistake. The consistency and taste is terrible. It looks to me that it’s more of a paste, or pressed meat, in the shape of beef jerky. I would not recommend this jerky, nor will I ever purchase it again. If you want real beef jerky, go to the big beaver gas station (starts with a B), or any other brand of beef jerky. This stuff is more like a dog treat.
