Jack Links Original Beef Jerky, 10 x 25 Grams

This is our must have snack when we go fishing and we fish ALL the time. In the summer and ice fish in the winter !! It is delicious , it’s it’s a little tough but also tender. It is always fresh! It definitely keeps your stomach satisfied until you get home after a long day of fishing ! It’s a excellent source of protein . We buy SO much Jack links. Just wish it was cheaper .: the price keeps increasing but the amount of meat seems to have decreased :(

Have been looking for halal beef jerky. Finally was happy to see at least one on MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP. So I ordered the Original flavour 12 of 25g packs. I can confirm there are 12 packs in a box; the ones I received are Halal as shown on the back of the packs. My honest opinion about the original flavour is you get a really salty meaty taste. Nice texture to it, not too chewy as I expected. The only downsides are that it's really salty and you don't get much for the price you are paying. Ate two packs so far and you get around 9-10 little pieces per pack.

I never expected this as i have been eating this product for a while now. I normally dont even check inside the packaging as i never expected something like this. But this time i was just snacking in my with this. I opened the packet, ate one piece, i then went for a second piece and i felt something stringy inside the packet. At first i thought it may be a stringy bit which shredded from the jerky pieces. But as i pull it felt like i hair so i used my flash to make sure. I also thought at first that maybe it would be my hair which i accidently grabbed and put inside the packet as i was grabbing a piece. But no this hair was really long as can be seen in the picture. I am a 21 year old male and my hair is no way this long. Aswell as no ones hair of anyone living ... MoreI never expected this as i have been eating this product for a while now. I haven't been a regular consumer of Jack Link's Original Jerky for many years, probably about 10 or so. It's such a shame. At one time, it made up a major portion of my diet, when I was cutting carbs / sugar in an effort to lose weight (which worked, a large part of which was due to Jack Link's!).I tracked my diet *very* carefully starting around 2009. At that time the macronutrients for Jack Link's Original jerky were:15 g protein3 g carbs (all sugar)0.5 g fatSomewhere along the line, they reformulated the product. Now the macronutrients are:10 g protein6 g carbs (all sugar)1.5 g fatIncredibly, it actually tastes worse than it used to. So I have just tried this product and my honest opinion of this particular product is that although the flavours are good I found that most of the bags consist of tiny bits and only a couple of decent slices so that is one very expensive treat. Also, the texture was bit strange, some pieces were very lean but most were chewy because because of the dried fat which I didnt like and they had a slight bit of crispyness. If all the peices were a decent size with lean meat and the packs were bigger this product would off been nice. I also did not know the product was Halal until after I bought it, had I know I would not purchased it due to being against Halal barbaric slaughter.

Tasty and high in protein, however, NOT gluten-free!!! I'm not sure what ingredient contains gluten, however, my celiac self noticed within 30 minutes of consumption. The label does not mention gluten as an allergen. The Jack Links official website only says that Sweet & Hot is not gluten-free within the questions section of the page. Jack Links confirmed via email this product is not gluten-free. I am quite shocked that a product doesn't list an allergen anywhere. Very deceptive and dangerous.

Used to be my favorite, but now...

I have this delivered on subscription. It's my perfect snack to keep in both my backpack and office snack drawer to tide me over. I have an ulcerated esophagus and must eat a GERD diet. Unfortunately, there's now pepper on my original jerky, which means I can no longer enjoy it without being in pain and causing further damage to my body. Please change it back, you already have a peppered option for those who want it. There are some of us who NEED a pepper/spice free option. Right now, my only choice is to quit partaking completely. Sad, sad day for me. :(

I was shopping all day long! And I picked up this product and it was so good that I ate the whole bag within a few minutes.It was so good that I picked up another bad and ate that bag within a few minutes as well.I went bag to get a bag number three and ate that one as well!My family had seen the three empty bags that I had lefted in the car and started calling me a very glutton person and didn't talk to me for four weeks.But it was all worth it and I would do it again!Those three bags and the four weeks were the best time of my life and I would do it all over again.Three bags later and four weeks of not talking to my wife was the most peaceful time of my life.As far as I am concerned I did my wife a favor by not sharing any food with her as since we both ... MoreI was shopping all day long! Was good years ago. What happened?

Haven't purchased Jack's beef jerky in many months because the product seemed to be not as good as I remembered. Purchased the Teriyaki flavoured today and actually thought it went bad. It was all like chewy, gummy, teriyaki flavoured fat. Threw the rest away, opened another pack, but very similar except more sinewy. I remember when it used to be real beef jerky. Now, more like beef gristle jerky. No wonder Walmart is selling it cheaper than it was a couple years ago. I'm guessing nobody is buying it. I know I won't be any more.
