I bought this product as well as another similarly priced 2 part metal epoxy, to make a comparison. Both products were mixed and cured according to the documentation.Unscientific test 1 - Auto centre punch a 10x10x5mm unsupported beadJB Weld took 20 punches with no significant damageThe other product shattered in half on punch one.Unscientific test 2 - Fill a 10mm diameter hole in a 5mm thick piece of aluminium and then tap M2.JB Weld tapped nicely and had a clean exit. A M2 screw had minimal wobble.The other one had a flared prolapse exit. The same M2 screw had about 2x the wobble of the JB.All in all, JB Weld appears to be pretty decent.

Very strong and fuel resistant bond. Did excellent job fixing mowers cracked plastic fuel tank at fuel line connection. Mix as directed and follow cure times for effective fix. Highly recommended.

When you need to really create the strongest bond this is the solution. Once mixed in correct proportions JB Weld will bond just about any 2 materials. I have used it on metal glass and plastic. Just be sure to score the surfaces! It does not require clamps except for extreme applications. It comes in a variety of types such as quick set or slow set . I repurposed tons of stuff with JB Weld and never had a failure. 10 stars !

I fell on my Ikea metal frame cloths hamper with canvas bag.. I busted it pretty bad at the joint connection parts. I've had this many years and it wasn't cheap. It was broken at 4 of the top and bottom corners making it unusable. And Ikea has a different version that didn't really have great reviews for $36. I research and could find no hamper that seemed reliable from the reviews. I thought maybe glue, but knew that may not hold. So I googled how to glue metal to metal. And up popped JB Weld. I was so excited that I may be able to save my sturdy reliable hamper on wheels. So for under $5 I ordered the glue. I reattached all the broken off pieces (but used pressure to hold them in place) and let it dry for 24 hours without touching it. Waaa Laaa!!!!! I purchased this product on line just recently as I need to repair a high pressure wand on my high pressure cleaner. The product indicated that it would hold 3500 psi and this made me think it could fix a breakout in the wand. My pressure washer only has a 1620 psi. I tried twice to repair the breakout only to find that the weld just blew off when I used the washer. This JB Weld is not suitable for a repair of this nature, I have since read a number of reviews (after the event) but was guided by the advertising that it was the world's strongest weld to repair, the fact it mentioned 3500 psi I was of the opinion that it was the product to use. Initially, I was looking for a two part fuel tank sealant but none was available. So with JB Weld I sealed the outside of the fuel pump housing where the outlet banjo fitting comes. The seal was very successful and the JB Weld is impervious to petrol.
For two small tubes I though it was expensive but I needed to plug a hole in a motorcycle brake reservoir where the sight glass had degraded. It stopped the brake fluid from leaking and let me ride the bike for another two weeks until replacement parts arrived. Job done!
Bought this product to repair a crack in the top plastic tank of my vehicles radiator. It was loosing a small amount of water, about a quarter of a cup. Although this is not JB Welds correct product for this type of job, it was all that SCA had. Took about four layers to repair over different days. Each day loosing less water. At no time was I in danger of loosing all the water. Chose this product for it's high psi and temperature resistance For now saved me the cost of a new radiator.
I'm using this weld to stick the base of a solar tracking linear actuator to an aluminium frame. The weld is so strong that the bolt that I use to hold the actuator in place curved outwards due to the pull of the actuator (if the weld was weak, the base would have simply ripped off). I estimated the tensile force to be around 300 psi, far lower than the rating, but non-marginal. Bolting it would have entailed lifting the whole 20 lb setup - tedious, especially when it's on a rooftop far from any electrical plugs. Do note that you absolutely need to follow the steps - wash the surface with clean water (I used MilliQ water from a lab), degrease it (70% isopropyl alcohol), abrade it (120 grit sandpaper), rinse with compressed air and repeat the cycle for good measure. ... MoreI'm using this weld to stick the base of a solar tracking linear actuator to an aluminium frame. Worked really well. Had a radiator leakage & it was a big crack. Mechanic told me that it needs to be replaced. Due to christmas eve every workshop was closed. So I tried Jb weld and I’m still using the same radiator in my car.
