Best in class gaming headset. Amazing soun and great bass with everything you'd need in a headset. The JBL software it coming with is also amazing. The microphone is great too and the noise cancelation is an absolute must have and JBL did it great. HOWEVER this headset severely suffers on a few key elements and all who are thinking of buying should beware of these issues.THE AWFUL CABLE- the cable quality is fantastic, the problem is the absolute dead weight volume knob on the center of the cable. It's ridiculously never used or helpful and is a huge annoyance for the fact it will just pull your cable and headset down if it hangs or falls off your desk. It IS NOT substitutional and the headset needs the official cable to function for no good reason. PLEASE JBL ... MoreBest in class gaming headset. It is incredibly frustrating and it has no fix that i can find. It is not just a defect in my headset either because i found my best friend this headset and he has the same issue i do. The volume display on the JBL application will also display that the annoying volume knob that shifts game volume to chat volume will move by it's self down and back again periodically and it is not fun to have to deal with.Otherwise i would rate this headset at 5 stars without a doubt, but with these issues being so frustrating and not of my control i cannot rightfully give it 5 stars.

I've been using the JBL QuantumOne headset with minimal problems since March 2021. The last few months though the sounds will randomly cut completely for no known reason, and I would assume a the wire connection but they still glow and my mic will still be active. Very frustrating and it is only happening more and more frequently to the point they are no longer usable. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for it only helps for an hour or two until it is back to cutting sound every 5 minutes. For the price should be lasting much longer and the year and a half they did considering a bought another headset at the time for my husband that is under $100 and they are still going strong with equal use to mine over the years. I have had the headset for a few days now and I have to say I am really impressed, first of all they are the first headset I have had that works on Discord which is massive for me as I'm always on there and have never been able to voice chat properly before.I love the design and the personalisation that you can do with the lighting, I have been playing with lots of different combinations and it's almost as much fun as playing the games themselves!Functionality wise they are brilliant, the ability to switch and blend the volume of the game and chat is amazing and it is probably the best feature. The sound is crisp and clear and you really feel like you can hear which direction the noise is coming from, I find myself turning my head when I hear a shot behind me ... MoreI have had the headset for a few days now and I have to say I am really impressed, first of all they are the first headset I have had that works on Discord which is massive for me as I'm always on there and have never been able to voice chat properly before.I love the design and the personalisation that you can do with the lighting, I have been playing with lots of different combinations and it's almost as much fun as playing the games themselves!Functionality wise they are brilliant, the ability to switch and blend the volume of the game and chat is amazing and it is probably the best feature. Very early review but straight out of the box they look really good and are possibly the most comfortable headphones I’ve worn to date. I couldn’t get them working on my Xbox series x tho which is strange so I put them onto my pc and they worked straight away. The ear cups have some really flashy rgb effects which you can control and alter to a decent degree through the JBL control centre which also allows you to play with the sound settings until you’re happy, or you can simply leave it on the preset which out of the box isn’t great it’s got to be said as it’s bass heavy and not all that sharp and the treble is a little washy but once you’ve set them up properly with the control centre and changed the pc sound settings to 7.1 they sound amazing with clear, crisp, ... MoreVery early review but straight out of the box they look really good and are possibly the most comfortable headphones I’ve worn to date. The price I feel is the killer here! £230 for a WIRED headset is just naughty! That price range should be wireless! You can pick up the Astro a50s for less and to me they’re a better headset as they’re fully wireless with a long battery life, charging dock stand and endless audio customisation. I can only think that these would drain a wireless headsets battery too fast with the rgb lighting effects so they had to go with fully wired which is a shame. If they went wireless, lost the flashy light show rgb lighting and dropped the price some then I think they’d be a great headset but with no Dolby support. Limited Xbox capabilities. BIG price tag and completely wired then I’m afraid I’d go Astro a50 all day long.
Really impressed with these headphones for competitive gameplay on Xbox and pc.lighting effects that surround the outside of the drivers and the logo. Sound performance is exellent The noise cancellation increases the feel of the bass on lower frequency’s, but does not diminish the higher frequency sounds. While playingBattlefield 5, I was able to appreciate more the ambient sound on the single player game.through multiplayer levels I felt they definitely got the edge with the pinpoint sound and you can tell where the enemy is coming from.I also used them on ACC racing game and the sound quality was awesome almost felt like I was in the car.coming from a pair of turtle beach headphones. The Quantum One’s had a better mid range, but it’s to be expected from ... MoreReally impressed with these headphones for competitive gameplay on Xbox and pc.lighting effects that surround the outside of the drivers and the logo. The microphone was clear and crisp to the other players. And did not pick up any ambient sound. Comfort: The headphones never felt heavy (369g) even after 3 hours of online matches. The size of the band and pressure by the cushions was not noticeable. Only on the first use did the tips of my ears feel some soreness, but after adjusting the placement there were no issues. Downside is that you need to plug in the usb (C-A) in order to fully run the drivers. When using only the 3.5mm connection there was not enough power to the drivers and you don’t get the light effects surrounding the outside of the drivers. This just made for a lot of cables when playing with a controller or an arcade stick. Since this pair of headphones are closed off there is small amount of heat that you feel in your ear canal. In my experience this is mainly do to the higher volumes and not from the material. The Quantum One’s didn’t cause any kind of sweat or heat on the outer part of the ear. If you want a solid pair of gaming headphones, I don’t think you can go wrong with this pair. Just understand the cable management when using consoles, and that you’ll need a pc to customize the lighting effects.overall I would definitely recommend theese headphones if you play on pc or Xbox.prosexellent sound qualitygreat customisationgood microphonegreat pinpointing soundgreat head tracking.consa lot of cables for full effectcan't think of any more.would highly recommend for a enthusiast.
I used this headset for a month before sharing my opinion. Overall I think the ONE is a very good headset and definitely worthy of its pro level designation. However, the next generation could be excellent with a few tweaks.First, I'm noting my review is based -entirely- on using the ONE with the Playstation 4. That means some of the features such as head tracking, LED customization, etc. were not available to me. (Note: This is not a JBL created issue but rather the limitation of individual platforms. The full experience comes on the PC platform as related to the custom software that is installed.) Where JBL fails in my opinion is making this entirely clear in their marketing material and user guides, which are also inaccurate as I will note below. So without ... MoreI used this headset for a month before sharing my opinion. Where JBL fails in my opinion is making this entirely clear in their marketing material and user guides, which are also inaccurate as I will note below. So without all the "bells and whistles"", are these good PS4 headphones?Just minutes after trying these for the first time, I thought I had made a big mistake in model choice. Following the provided Quick Start guide, I plugged the headset into the PS4 controller via the audio cable. This was not a gratifying experience. The volume was too low, there was no ANC (active noise cancellation) and of course, the earcups didn't even light up. So if I had just followed the Quick Start Guide, with it's annoyingly microscopic text and few words accompanying the drawings, I probably would have return them. However, luckily my initial disappointment persuaded me to peruse the JBL web site, where right in the middle of the QUANTUM headset models page I found their "Connectivity Overview". (This would have been really helpful for JBL to have included in a more robust and full user's guide that is woefully missing.) This overview indicated the headset could be plugged into the USB port on the PS4.Intrigued, I did so and the headset practically sprung to life. The earcup light show began with a pattern of dancing lights (to which they are unfortunately stuck to the default for all time), the ANC (active noise cancellation) kicked in (which contrary to the "Connectivity Overview" -does- work with the ONE on PS4 when connected via USB), and most importantly, the volume output improved considerably. As a bonus the inline Game Audio-Chat Balance Dial in the USB cable works, although on PS4 only as a secondary volume control. You still have to set the primary volume using the headset thumb wheel but then the inline dial can be used for finer adjustment. I find this far more convenient than fumbling around for the headset wheel while gaming, particularly when someone walks into the room to talk to me. However, the headset wheel is clearly electronic (not analog or "manual") and the headset's volume is reset to the default every time you unplug them.Once I was on USB, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the headset. The sound is crisp and the range dynamic. Mind you, I feel once you get to a certain quality level of headphone it can be very difficult to tell them apart. All I can really say is that compared to the another quality headset I've been using from another brand, I didn't feel like I was missing (or honestly gaining) anything sound wise. However, the noise cancellation is excellent. A room air conditioner, bubbling aquarium, and passing conversation in the room all fade to nothing with ANC enabled. You can tap a button at the top of the left earcup to enable audio "talkthru" or as I mentioned before, simply turn the Game-Chat Balance Dial down for brief conversations with others. The microphone has good pick-up and everyone I asked could hear me clearly. It has a slide on foam windshield that I found too easy to knock off but I didn't find the need for it and simply put it back in the box.Overall, I feel the build is very good. The head band and ear cups both have thick and comfortable padding. I find the earcup swivel holds very securely in position when you adjust it. I don't know if this is because they are so new but I'm hoping they don't lose this stiffness as I find it helpful in making them sit comfortably on my head. As some others have noted (or complained), this headset is certainly not light. However, comfort is a relative term and I've had no problem wearing them several hours at a time per day. On the other hand, my young adult daughter tried them for a short gaming session and found them too heavy for her liking. I want to believe the weight is potentially related to the size and quality of the drivers but I don't have the material specs to back that theory up. I suspect there may be ways to further reduce the weight of this headset but I'm not sure if that would come at a cost to build quality or price.I would say I'm very satisfied with these so far. If they hold up well they are certainly worthy of their premium designation in the QUANTUM headset line. However, for PS4 only users that can't use the additional functions as their PC brethren, I'm not sure the associated premium cost is fully justified. Therefore, I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars. To summarize:Pros-Appear to be well built overall-Sound very good, microphone is clear and works well. Active noise cancellation is excellent-Removable microphone can be convenient if you travel with them often-(PS4) USB Audio-Chat Balance Dial isn't supported but dial still functions as a convenient secondary volume adjuster if you like in-line dials on the cord-(PS4) Solid connectivity when plugged into USBNeutrals-I found them comfortable despite being a bit weighty-Electronic volume control level is reset when USB is disconnected. Doesn't bother me much but some will likely dislike this-Some will love, some will hate the JBL "startup" sound when you plug them in via USB. The ANC Talk-through activation also plays a fairly loud tone-(PS4) No way to change earcup LED pattern. Not really a problem for wearer but may be distracting for other people in a multi-purpose/use room. (You can turn LEDs off by holding microphone mute button for 5 seconds)Cons-Could really use a more complete, readable (print size), and accurate(!) user guide for -all- platforms-Certain features are platform specific (mostly PC). (Again not JBL's "fault" but you may be paying a premium for functionality like head tracking that you can't use)-(PS4) If you don't want to be tethered to a USB port (worked fine with a USB extension cord for me) then you may be disappointed with the volume output of the PS4 controller direct audio connection-For a headset at this price level, I feel they should have included at least a basic ("pleather") carrying case.

At least the sound quality was mid.
It has been many days since we received the goods, and it took us a long time to evaluate carefully, so the following comments are definitely of reference value. First of all, the microphone can be plugged in directly, which is very convenient. Secondly, a variety of lamp effect is dazzling, adjustable content is very rich. The head beam design is also very good, do not press the head do not clip the ear, very comfortable, all kinds of big head are in place, long time use without discomfort. Finally, whether the head-tracking feature is available or not, I've basically turned it off for now because sometimes you have to reposition to use it, and it doesn't affect your listening. Next, under the virtual sound field supported by JBL's own design, the surround effect is really powerful, and the sound from all directions can be clearly distinguished. Meanwhile, the immersion feeling is very good, neither too much ear sticking will affect the sense of space, nor too much opening will affect the sound positioning. This sound field effect is really different from the optional effects on other headphones, and is completely designed to be unique. Of course, you can switch it to the traditional DTS effect, which gives you a more ear-tight feel, but at the same time it's much more tightly packed, making the tone sharper and more direct, depending on which one you like. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the low frequency sense and texture are very strong, deep dive, and full of flexibility, very pleasing to their ears. It was a satisfying shopping experience. It was awesome.
