This is an outstanding PA speaker. I've used it with both rock and country bands and the smooth tone of the cabinet and drivers is fantastic warm, clear, and crisp without losing smoothness. The quality on vocals, lead guitars, bass guitars, drum kits, DJ tracks of all sort, have been phenomenal. I ran them 2 ways so far. Bridged out, sum input, XTI4002 running to both for 1,600 watts per.I also ran them 2,400 watts per at 8 ohms with a sum input, bridged out, xti4002 per top.They can take it all and run beautifully! Very little adjusting for clarity!

Let start by saying I heard the srx 800 speakers at a concert. I was blown awayMany years later, I finally got one. It is heavy for my taste but I paired it with a Baringher 3k amp and it rocks. It blew me away again. Cant wait to get another one to have the pair.

Don't make the mistake of buying powered speakers.

The way to go, only a speaker cord to each cabinet. Not power and signal to every cabinet on stage. well constructed and very hi-fi like sound quality.

Freaking great

I've been playing in bands, and running sound for decades. That being said I've owned many systems over the years, I currently own a pretty high end powered system. I recently bought two of these cabs from Musicians Friend, and a crown 6002 to push them with. This is the way to go In my opinion. One cord per cabinet, More power, more SPL, and more clarity. I will be getting two more of these and incorporating them into my system. My upper powered cabs have just became monitors. I will continue to use my powered subs for now as well.... but I will end up with a full passive JBL system and crown amps. I will keep my passive system for some gigs, but I'm here to tell ya... these cabinets are the best I've ever used by far!

Great speaker

Ordered from ProaudioStar, a used speaker at a great price, received a like new, in the box (opened) product with no issues at all. Will buy from these guys again!

Srx815

Overall:I got two of these , i had a job about 300 people i put one of these on one side and two prx715 powered on the other side , i run the srx815 on a crown xli3500 bridge ,Now here is the surprise , beleive it or not all night we thought the two prx were off ,This is really serious speakers ...but they are power hungry , i recommend the crown xli3500 or qsc plx3602 (bridge) one power for each .

Trust me, you will not beleive the advancement n quality all around!!!Overall:So being an old school power amp guy, I went against my better judgment and bought a pair of the Powered JBL PRX815’s. First time out of the box was a small festival/album release party for the band I manage. Let me just say that I was HIGHLY disappointed. I am not sure where they achieved the 137 db peak, the pair I had went into limit mode with almost NO input. With that said, I was on the phone with JBL and zZounds before the first act left the stage… As always zZounds was amazing. Full return on the pair. I then did a few days of research and decided to bite the bullet and pay the almost $400 extra for the SRX815 passive speakers. WOW these things are amazing. First night out I decided to power them a little light with a pair of old school Samson SX2400 boat anchors bridged at 1500 watts. The sound quality was amazing! Crisp true sounding highs, full sounding mids and just enough punch on the bottom end to roll off into my PRX 818’s.

Worst customer service I have ever had....

Ordered B Stock SRX815p... Slight Problem with my Credit card... Contacted Manager Pete. Said he would have everything allstraighten out.... while he was straightening things out they sold the speakers from underneath me.Totally hosed me.. They should have offered me to by some new ones at cost. NO they offered me some 12's at the same price.
