Jetboil MightyMo - Stove

$90.55

(173 reviews)

You shouldn't be forced to cook your camp meal on full blast, only to scorch any delicious ingredients and delicate flavors. Alleviating this dilemma of all-or-nothing cooking, the Jetboil MightyMo Stove provides four turns of simmer adjustment, so you can dial in precise heat to your culinary tastes. The 10,000BTU output is powerful enough to quickly boil water and cook large meals at your campsite. And unlike Jetboil's all-in-one systems, the MightyMo works with standard cooking pans with three pot supports. For greater cooking efficiency, it's compatible with Jetboil's 1. 5-liter FluxRing Cooking Pot and 8-inch FluxRing Fry Pan. This compact stove saves weight from your backpacking set-up, conveniently folding within the included pouch for easy carrying. For reliable operation, the piezo ignition starts with the simple push of a button. The stove's regulated output reliably cooks and boils water down to 20-degrees Fahrenheit during wintertime. It works with a variety of fuel canisters for convenience (canister not included). There's an included canister stabilizer for stable cooking over uneven surfaces.

Shipping was awesome, this came early so I could use it for a midweek excursion…Side note the picture shows it comes with a 3 legged canister stand however it actually comes with a 4 legged canister stand…The good: simmer control is precise, with 4 turns available on the dial, and a regulator.Packs up small and has a nice storage bag.The bad: used it once in the field, cooked a bunch of smokies in a pan for our group of 5. It cooked great, but folding it up the pivot points all seized to the point I almost couldn’t fold it up. After doing a gear check after the trip I noticed the arm was bent. Will be contacting for warranty to figure it out. Less than a week, 1 trip, 1 field use.Jet boil seems like a quality brand, maybe this is a one off…. I bought this burner as a second system for my ultralight setup. Will be perfect for trekking trips where I have to cook instead of just boil water. The regulator allows to fully control the intensity to a nice simmering temperature. Great product from Jetboil.

Good Temperature Control

When i tried out the MightyMo i was sceptical at first but it surprised me. Over the last 3 decades my cooking has evolved from paraffin blocks on Venturer camps to a reliable little light weight pocket size burner on ultralight solo trips. When the "jetboil" brand came on the market i was caught up in the hype and bought one asap but the temp control was lousy so i gave it away. I was not expecting such a big improvement when i tried out the MightyMo. One of the good things about this is it's not the usual jetboil kit, it is just the burner which gives you more options for your own cooking set up. The weight is good, light and small. The best thing is improved flame control or temperature range. It's nice when simmer doesn't burn dinner and destroy your pot. I'm still not convinced to buy another jetboil for myself, not a supporter of big brands, but it is a good gift for adventurous friends or an emergency spare. It isn't durable. There are a few parts which can be easily damaged if not carried or used carefully. One more down side to this is lost potential for either a gas+liquid universal fuel stove or redesigning it to lose the locked port and bring an even lighter burner onto the market.

Great little unit!
15 May 2022

I combine this with the Mini Mo and use 2 jetboil fuels at the same time. This way I can boil and fry etc at the same time if cooking larger meals. The unit folds down into nothing so your biggest worry might be loosing it! It's simmer control is brilliant and just like using a gas stove at home.

Jetboil MightyMo Cooking System
8 February 2023

I purchased this after reading many reviews on various review sites and decided to see what all the positive comments were about, as I was in the market for a compact cooking system to go along with my reliable Coleman cooking stove. AND I was happy that I went with my gut and bought my first Jetboil product! Not only is it compact, it provides superb BTUs for its size. I recommend this as a first stove from Jetboil, if you do not want to invest in the other cooking systems that have more accessories. This is a must for anyone looking for a compact stove.

Light and efficient
14 January 2022

I was reluctant to purchase this but I went ahead and did. I was able to boil 750ml in about 2 minutes. I already have a jetboil minimo and I was looking for something lighter. You will not regret this stove. Light, efficient, and super quick to a running boil. I also like the fact that it has a regulator and can simmer. I was able to make some mullet wine (which requires a simmer).

Quality issue?
26 July 2022

Long time JetBoil user (Flash System) and happy w/ it! I tried the MightyMo looking to reduce about 1/2 pound w/ stove and boiling pan change. The weight was better after the change, but the MightMo I had was odd in the gas settings. I would have to turn it way up to even get a small flame, and it burnt gas faster than I breath O2. One morning I woke to an empty gas canister - MightyMo had let the gas escape - if I did not turn all the way off, or MightMo had leak - doesn't matter. Any gadget that is this difficult and causes 2 days of no gas ... take back immediately and I'll keep the extra Flash 1/2 pound for now.

Very Wobbly Stove. Mis-aligned Set Screw
15 June 2020

This stove was good at first but it has a very huge inherent design flaw. The set screw that holds the top part of the stove with the valve is connected by one weak set screw. This set screw is mis-aligned and it causes the stove to wobble when there is a pot on top. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have burnt myself due to a boiling pot falling off the stove due to the wobbliness of the stove. I tried to tighten this set screw to solve the problem, but when I did that, the cheap screw just broke in half. This is a serial problem with this stove. Look through these reviews and you will find that other people have also experienced this wobbliness.Don't buy this stove. Try a different jetboil stove or buy the MSR Pocketrocket stove.

expensive load of rubbish / wobbly stove that wont ignite
12 August 2020

When you buy a stove for 90 AUD, you envision warm meals, quick ignition, light yet robust. The Might Mo was that and more, for the first 10 minutes of use. Since then, the Mighty Mo has only continued its reputation of absolute terrible innovation. If you enjoy complete stillness, this is not the burner for you, if you enjoy consistency in ignition, this is not the burner for you.If you enjoy cooking without the threat of wasted food and potential third degree burns this is not the burner for you. In short: This thing is wobbly. The starter does not work. go waste your money somewhere else.

regulator issues
15 January 2023

I bought this stove and tested it at home before a trip. worked great. during the trip it failed. no gas flow through the regulator. brought it back to REI where I got an identical replacement stove. this one worked great for about a dozen plus trips. Then it failed in the same way the first one did. no gas flow through the regulator. Also, the self-ignitor is garbage. I've given up on this model. 2 strikes and I don't want to roll the dice on a third.
