A nice step up from the Go Air True

In balanced mode, they both have a 'scooped' frequency response, meaning the bass and treble are both elevated making for a 'fun' sound signature. The Air Pro steps it up from the Go Air and increases overall resolution, slightly better (larger) soundstage and imaging, good detail. The bass is still a little sloppy as there is some mid-bass bleed but it isn't too bad. I keep them at balanced. One thing to note is that these respond better to ear tips with a wider opening compared to the stock tips, at least to my ears. The stock tips sound a little muffled and are hard to get a good seal with in my ears. A pair of wider bore tips from one of my other in-ears fit better and seemed to 'open up' the higher frequencies for a little more 'air' and detail.Other features like be aware mode are pretty neat, and they seem to work better for calls than the Go Air did, which seemed to be a pretty common complaint.Overall very happy with this purchase and I hope these hold up to the abuse as well as as my old Go Air Trues did!

Been a fan of JLAB products ever since I was introduced to them a couple of years ago. They have managed to get the 'Quality/Price Point' balance pretty much perfect! You can get really nice quality sound at an attractive price point. And this is coming from someone who has a variety of higher end, higher dollar headsets.Out of the gate, the form factor is pretty much what you'd expect from wireless earbuds these days. They are actually a little smaller than other brands, so that's a nice bonus. The charging case is nicely laid out, White LEDs on the front to show the charge status of the actual case, which hold enough charge to recharge the earbuds 3 times (27 hours). The charging case is nicely laid out, White LEDs on the front to show the charge status of the actual case, which hold enough charge to recharge the earbuds 3 times (27 hours). And using that math, you can tell that the earbuds are designed to last 9 hours per charge, which if the case is charged fully, and the earbuds as well, nets you 36 total hours of charge! One downside to me, although I understand why they did it this way, is that the USB charging cord is integrated into the case. Now, in my personal experience, I have a USB cord in the back of my Mac, and it is there on my desk and other peripherals come and go, get charged by that one cord. Now with this charging case, I have to look at the back of the Mac and plug it in there. I get that it saves cost, vs a separate charging cord, but again, in my situation, it's a little awkward. The connector for the USB also looks a little strange at first as it doesn't have the 'protective shell' on it that you typically see on a USB plug, it's bare, and fits into one side of the USB port.I have been using them connected to my MacBook Pro for Teams meetings. When I first put them in my ears and paired them up, I was a little disappointed. They sounded a little tinny and not as bass filled as I've experienced with other JLAB earbuds. In the packaging, there are extra bud tips of different sizes, which is to be expected, but there are an extra set of rubber band looking things (The Cush Fins). If you replace these on the outer edge of the earbuds and then change out the tip size, OMG, the difference is night and day. They sounded so much better, they were sealed against my ear and sounded so much better, a lot more bass filled! Reading through the small print, it does mention doing this, so definitely do it. Makes such a difference! They have multi tap functionality on both earbuds, allowing you to increase/decrease the volume, control your assistant of choice (Siri/Google), you can change the EQ settings though predetermined set up EQ levels, play, pause, FF/RW and then there is 'Be Aware' if you triple tap the right earbud. This amplified the acoustics around you, so that you can hear city noises for example if you are running in a park, and aren't completely blocked off from the world. You can also pair more than one device with these earbuds, so like me, if you use them for Teams meetings on your computer and then want to use them connected to your phone, you can set them up for that. You can connect a total of two devices to these earbuds. The transition between both devices is really slick and seamless. Really like that! Each earbud can work, you don't have to have both in at the same time, you can pick or choose left OR right, and they pair and work. They have wear sensors built into them, so they smartly know if you are wearing it or not. They are also IP55 rated, so absolutely suitable for everyday use.Overall, once again, very impressed with this JLAB product, as I have been over and over with products for my family over the past couple of years. Highly recommend them!

The app isn't required, as the EQ presets are available without it, however you lose the firmware upgrade, control button edit, and EQ manual adjustments without it.To use, remove one or both from case and turn on music. The earbuds did need a firmware update out of the box, which took less than 5 minutes and they were ready to be used. After the inital charge, I had a full charge last about 8 hours, and when charging from the case I can easily get another 24 hours prior to charging the case, using the attached USB.On-ear controls work as expected with regards to tap touch sensitivity and control volume, voice assistant, play / pause, change EQ preset, "Be Aware" mode, and the ability to edit each tap pattern as desired. Each earbud will work independently, but this requires some configuration to ensure you have the preferred tap functions available. The design and fit are one primary feature that really makes these earbuds stand out. The ear buds rest in your ear in such a way that they stay securely in place, no matter the activity. Typically I find either earbuds sit too far into the ear or not enough and easily fall out. These are the Goldilocks of fit and stayed in place during running, working around the farm, hiking, and driving the tractor. Another solid feature is the IP55 rating for sweat / dirt resistance. I have used these for a full week of farm chores with no issue created by outdoor dust and wet environments. At the end of the day I wipe them clean with a damp cloth prior to putting back in case.As far as sound, music quality is significantly better than I expected from what I consider an outdoor / sport earbud. There are a total of 10 EQ adjustments, yielding audible depth distinction to everything from classical to metal. There is a feature, "Be Aware", that allows ambient noise passthrough. I found this to be distracting during phone calls due to feedback in hearing my own voice as well as reduction in the music quality. For calls, there is limited background pickup for noises that are further than 12" from the microphones. I found that I can easily hear the speaker and I didn't need to adjust volume between music and answering a call. A+ for seamless transition between music to answering a call and back.Overall, I highly recommend for the fit and function of these well rounded earbuds. They are fantastic for outdoor activities as well as normal every day use.

Great value True Wireless Earbuds!

The JLABS JBUDS Air Pro True wireless earbuds (model: EBJBAIRPRORBLK82 ) are a good sounding set of earbuds. They have a wide range of capabilities and sound well across the spectrum of music. While they may not hit the highest of highs and the lowest of the lows – they will do the job and do it at a decent price – falling just under the middle of the price ranges I found for True Wireless earbuds. You can watch my video review here: https://youtu.be/sEF3nqY3qOoWhen testing the earbuds, I called my wife to see how the JLABS JBUDS Air Pro sound and most importantly, mic worked. My wife describes the sound on the receiving end as good and crisp without any crackling, despite it sounding like I was a bit of a distance away. She didn’t hear any static as sometimes happens with cheaper earbud mics. There was no cutting out or skipped words, even while I was walking around using them (a known issue we have experienced with other earbud mics.)Next, let’s discuss the features of this set of earbuds. First, these are True Wireless earbuds via Bluetooth 5.1 with multi-point connectivity (2 devices at the same time) and are powered by built-in Lithium polymer batteries rated for up to 9 hours in the earbuds and 27+ hours from the charging case for a total rated time of 36+ hours (your time will vary) of battery life. They feature touch controls on both pods, auto on, the ability to use either bud in a solo mode, can work with phone assistants, have good audio quality, microphones in both pods, a noise isolating fit, and IP55 dust and water resistance for the earbuds only. The earbuds come with 3 sets of gel tips (S, M, and L) so that the fit can be customized. They also come with two sets of Cush Fins™ to aid in the fit of the buds to the ear (they say one set, but there is a set installed, thus I say two sets). The ear buds come with wear detect sensors so that music can be paused and restarted as needed when either pod is removed from the ear. The charging case has an integrated cable that folds nicely into the case for ease of storage. These also come with a 2-year warranty and 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The touch controls are all the controls you would expect for powering the earbuds on/off, answering/ending/ignoring calls, voice assistant, music play/pause, and skipping tracks. Pressing and holding the left earbud for 1 + seconds will but the buds into movie mode. This mode enables a low-latency connection, which means a decreased range, to help reduce audio lag so that voices sync to the video screen when you are watching movies. Tapping 3 times on the right ear bud enables Be Aware mode that allows one to listen but still hear the surrounding area for safe listening. Tapping 3 times on the left ear bud cycles the EQ settings from JLab Signature (default with amplified vocals and bass), to Balanced (no enhancements), to Bass blast (amplified bass and sub-bass). The EQ mode is indicated with voice prompts. In ear devices are not my first choice in audio devices, however these I found to be one of the most comfortable of the many ear buds I have tried.Overall, in my testing these earbuds performed well and sounded good for both calls and audio and would be a good addition for anyone who likes to use earbuds for their audio needs. Listening to Bohemian Rhapsody on these was a good experience. The cross-channel sounds were detectable and flowed nicely across the “sound stage”. The devices have a middle of the pack price for True Wireless ear buds that makes them attractive due to the features.Pros: Great Price, comfort, the Cush Fins™, No App Required. Integrated cableCons: a smidgeon tinny on some highs in my test tracks.

Great-Sounding Earbuds at an Even Better Price!

I am a fairly serious runner and biker and have always been annoyed by the wires connecting my earphones to my iPhone so I own and use several pairs of expensive ($200-$300) wireless earbuds. I am very picky about the fit, sound and operating features of my earbuds. Recently, I discovered that JLab has introduced a very modestly priced wireless earbud, the JBuds Air Pro, with a number of premium features which rival the performance of my top tier earbuds.Founded in 2005 as a manufacturer of value-priced in-ear headphones, JLab Audio has become one of the best known brands of both wired premium in-ear and over-ear headphones and wireless headphones and Bluetooth earphones. It has also introduced microphones, webcams and wireless keyboards. JLab has been selected by Fast Company as one of the ten most innovative consumer electronics companies. This review will focus on the latest of their products, the JLab JBuds Air Pro wireless Bluetooth earphones. Here are the key features:• JLab JBuds Air Pro Bluetooth true wireless earbuds (Model EBJBAIRPRORBLK82)• 6 mm dynamic drivers, 16 ohm impedance• Frequency response range: 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz• Excellent driver sensitivity: 98 (+/- 3) dB @ 1 mW, 1 KHz• Bluetooth 5.1 SBC connectivity, 30 foot range, dual connections capability• Be Aware Mode provides access to outside noises for conversations, safety• JLab Sound app provides additional control, 10 band equalizer, three preset EQ settings• Integrated MEMS microphones in each earbud for phone calls• IP55 dust and water resistance (dust-resistant, safe against low pressure water stream)• Multi-function touch controls (play, pause, skip/back track, accept phone call, equalizer selection, Siri, be aware)• Lithium polymer battery life: 9 hours playtime (60 mAhr battery in earbud), 36 hours total with in-case recharging (520 mAhr battery in case)• Recharge time from full discharge: 1.5 hours for earbuds in case, 2.0 hours for case• Charging: Hard shell storage case has integrated USB-A cable• Wear detect sensor automatically pause music when earbuds removed• Three rubber ear tip sizes (small, medium, large) and one cush fin set included• JLab burn-in software to condition driver• Weight: 5.3 gram (per earbud), 49.7 gram (ear buds and charging case)• Two year warranty on parts and laborDownload the JLab Sound app to provide a full user guide, equalizer settings, touch controls, charge status and other additional features.Everything looks very well made and the earbuds have a special coating to protect them from scratches and moisture.First step is to charge the ear buds in the clam shell charging case. Just attach the USB-A charging cable and LED lights will tell you when they are fully charged. The case itself serves as a supplemental battery, holding three full additional charges even when disconnected from power. Pop the earbuds back into the case for 15 minutes and you have another hour of charge. Leave them in for 90 minutes and they are fully charged again. You can do that three more times before the case itself needs recharging. I tested the claimed battery life – 9 hours and can confirm that it is accurate. One qualm I have about the case is the attached USB-A cable. It’s nice that you never have to look for a charging cable but I wonder how durable it will be over time. If it is damaged you would have to replace the charging case because it is not detachable. The JLab JBuds Pro Air earbuds are truly wireless and fit very securely in the ear. You can customize the fit with the three supplied rubber ear tip sizes and the included cush fin to select the combination which feels most comfortable for long sessions. For me the small tip and no cush fin gave the best fit and enabled me to get the best sound quality. The Bluetooth connection just requires pressing a button on the charging/carrying case for a few seconds. The 5.1 Bluetooth specification provides a solid connection up to 30 feet from my phone, but most of the time you will have your phone just a few feet from the earbuds.Sound quality is very good, very clear, distortion-free with excellent midrange and highs. And the bass is quite good. The JLab Sound app includes an equalizer with three pre-set sound profiles and a ten band equalizer to fine tune the sound to meet your preferences. Frankly, they sound way better than they have a right to – given that they are priced about one-third what my $200+ earbuds cost. A real bargain!I chose these earbuds for outside activities – would they stay in? Yes!!! I took them for a long (three hour) run and never had a problem even as I worked up a good sweat in 80+ degree weather. But running is probably not the biggest test. Can you rely upon the fit while biking? The next day I went for an all-day ride over some rough roads and once again they performed perfectly. They never felt loose. I had to recharge them in the case after about 8 hours while I stopped for food but that was quick. The case is compact and unobtrusive in your pocket, but for most workouts you can rely upon the 9 hour playing time from each charge and leave the case at home.Other features? The earbuds have nice touch controls (play, pause, skip/back track, accept/end phone calls, Siri, equalizer selection) which work well. The Be Aware function amplifies ambient sounds when desired (e.g., conversations in noisy settings). The earbuds are sealed and have an IP55 rating so even a stream of water on them will not cause damage, so have no fear about using them in the rain. (Airpods are rated only IPX4.) The very light weight (5.3 gram) of the earbuds really enhances their comfort when wearing them for long periods. No, they don’t have ANC (Automatic Noise Control) but ANC is only marginally useful in earbuds. I usually turn it off on my other earbuds which do have it because I find that it tends to muddy the sound quality.Bottom line? If you want a solid performer at a bargain price the JLab JBuds Air Pro are an outstanding choice and win five stars plus my unqualified endorsement.

Tiight fitting comfortable buds in my ears, they are very discreet in the fact that they are practically invisible to the Ring Wraiths. As I made my way from my home in the Shire jamming to classic hits of Tom Bombadill and The Lonely Mountain Men (The Dwarves) I could tell these earbuds were the absolute best I had ever acquired from my Uncle Bilbo . The operating system is very simple and sound absolutely amazing. I can run with Merry and Pippin, fight of Orcs and get carried half alive on horseback from an elven goddess with them still in my ears when I arrive , all while STILL making it across Middle Earth to Mount Doom on one recharge. The convenience is the case that I’ve “kept secret and safe.”. It recharges the earbuds! So when we stopped at Rivendell to establish “The Fellowship” I had to give them a quick recharge in the case to be on my way. My favorite part is the “ Noise Canceling” feature. I don’t have to listen to the corny riddles from that little cave dwelling goblin Gollum and the fact that all I see are him and Sam rolling down the hill (one can assume they’ve been fighting) but I’ll never know because I couldn’t hear them over “ the great vibrato and bass of the “ Misty Mountains.” The quiet with just music surrounding you is really nice while enjoying the scenery of Middle Earth in its entirety while knowing you’re probably going to die anyway!10/10 Reccomend!

Nice features overall.

About a year ago, I purchased my first pair of JLab Bluetooth earbuds, specifically the jbuds air anc 2nd gen. I used them extensively and they never let me down. Their sound quality is particularly impressive, with great bass, acceptable active noise cancellation, and the amazing tile finder feature. However, my only issue with them was their size, as they were quite bulky even for my larger-than-normal ears.I always had a curiosity about the air pros, and I liked the fact that they were smaller and less bulky. So when I saw them on sale, I couldn't resist trying them out. Here are my impressions after a few days of use:First, let's discuss the positives: these earbuds are incredibly lightweight, and they come with the new Bluetooth 5.3. The multipoint connection feature is also a huge advantage for me, as I have multiple devices I use within my house.Sound-wise, the mids and highs are ok and the volume is acceptable. The audio stops automatically when one earbud is out(IT DOES NOT MEAN THE BUDS ARE DISCONNECTED..;)). I think one has to turn off Bluetooth in all other devices before initially connecting the Air Pros to a new device, and turn them all back on afterwards. Again The multipoint feature is the reason I got them, NOT the sound, which is good enough for podcasts and video streaming etc. Now, onto the negatives: There's no escaping the lack of bass and overall sound quality of the Air Pro ANC. It is simply unacceptable considering their MSRP. However, at a sale price, I am keeping them for now. While I appreciate JLab's two-year warranty(the have a great costumer service), all the great features I have mentioned earlier cannot compensate for the lack of sound quality for music. Ultimately, the size does matter, and these smaller earbuds just won’t cut it for some..

Quality Earbuds and Very Affordable!
13 August 2022

A solid set of Earbuds at this price point. I wasn’t expecting this level of quality from them.Once out of the box and turned on, I received a “battery full” message so that was nice. I was able to start the setup which was immediate on my iPhone. The ear tips that were already installed fit just fine but, in case your ears are a bit different, there are a total of three sizes to choose from. Also, there are these rings included called “Cush Fins” that are included and help with the seal of the earbud once in your ear. These are not noise cancelling but you do get a really good sound with minimal outside noises getting in.The initial pairing and setup was quick and simple, frankly, the way it should be with any sound devices these days. The bass is clean and without any distortion mixed with crisp tones, your music will sound great. Built into the earbuds are three equalizer settings to choose from and you can select your preference using the left side earbud controls.During playback or phone calls, the controls are easily accessible and the earbuds are very responsive. The small user guide does a good job of explaining the various combinations of taps to use to do certain things such as play, pause, volume changes, etc.Battery life to this point has been rock solid. The packaging claims 36 hours between the buds and charging case while on Bluetooth. This is certainly a good amount to get you through any day of conference calls, music or entertainment streaming. Important side note, the charging cable is neatly built into the case and hides perfectly on the bottom when not in use.In summary, I am very pleased with these earbuds and absolutely recommend them. The construction and sound quality are great and I feel anyone that gives them a try will feel the same.

THE ACTUAL BEST EARBUDS I’VE HAD IN MY WHOLE LIFE
27 July 2023

These are actually the best earbuds I’ve had in my whole life! I am not a bot just an EXTREMELY satisfied customer! I love these! When I tell you I only had to charge the case once a week I’m not lying. I wore the earbuds all day long and put them in the charger when I would go to sleep. I’ve never had any problems with them. They’re very durable and resilient. The earbuds have been dropped on concrete, fell in water, the case has been dropped and they STILL had no problems. The case charges very quickly. I love that they have noise canceling mode, movie mode, awareness mode, and classic listening mode. The bass is amazing and sound quality is terrific! I’ve had the same pair for about 8 1/2 months and they have got me through thick and thin lol. I would 1000/10 ... MoreThese are actually the best earbuds I’ve had in my whole life! Very dissapointed
27 January 2023

I have bought over 10 jlab products and have been happy with a lot of them, very happy in fact, used them for many periods of time. The JBuds Air Pro are very good in terms of design, it feels very good in the ear, it looks sleek and clean, the case is much smaller compared to many other earbuds JLab released. Its just one thing that annoys me so much- the sound quality. The sound quality on the JLab Air Pro's was very dissapointing, its nothing horrible, but its just not what I would expect from JLab, their air pop earbuds have better sound quality compared to these. The bass seems to be a little exagerated and over the top, but that is just the signature frequency you can expect from JLab, and I usually like it, but it just doesn't sound right at all on these. ... MoreI have bought over 10 jlab products and have been happy with a lot of them, very happy in fact, used them for many periods of time.
