Jo Malone - Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne - 30 ml

I believe this is unisex cologne with a warm smell. I receive lots of compliments everyday and I notice the smell is kept from morning till night. A spicy opening dries down into a deep and dark, masculine base. This may not a performance fragrance, but it is a really esy-to-wear fragrance that makes a great first impression and make people remember you for a long time. Love it ❤️ Top: Cumin – Aromatic and compelling with an animalic character, evocative of warm skin, wet with rain. Heart: Juniper – Cool and green, the aromatic, resinous quality of juniper brings vibrancy to the heart. Base: Black cedarwood – Complementing the Virginian cedarwood in the heart, this brings a deeper woodiness to the base with a touch of supple leather.

Where do I start?! I received a sample of this perfume and fell in love! I had to have it! It's sensual and seductive and gives off sexy without being overly sexual. It's perfect. I wish that it came in an oil as well for staying power. The scent does last all day but tends to dry down to a skin scent. By the end of the day I can still smell it and if someone is close enough they'll smell it, but it won't take over the room. If you're reading this review... you deserve this scent!

Loses scent quickly

I haven’t fallen in love with a scent this fast in a long time. Bought a big bottle, small bottle and body wash, which represents a pretty good investment since I feel the price point gives the average shopper reasons to pause. Soo disappointed. An hour after application, I can’t smell a thing. No lingering scent on my clothing either. I’ve had a body spray from the Gap with better effectiveness than this. Love the scent, but I think they base their pricing on the lovely presentation. I will not be a repeat customer.

My favorite perfume!

My favorite Jo Malone scent and my everyday perfume. Purchased a large bottle of this in 2019 right after it came out and it quickly became my favorite. I finally finished my first bottle and repurchased. I’d been wanting a Jo Malone perfume for a while but hadn’t found a scent that I liked and worked with my body chemistry—that is until this one came out! Just a beautiful light floral scent that isn’t overpowering or powdery/grandma and is perfect for everyday. A Jo Malone sales associate told me to pair with Honeysuckle & Davana and that combo is amazing. My wallet isn’t too happy now because I’m planning on buying the H&D fragrance too! :)

My ultimate favorite fragrance

I am a big perfume user, and a huge fan of Jo Malone ( it is a Jo Malone shop in Torino, Italy!!! ) . I got other Jo Malone fragrance from my Boyfriend for several occasions ( English Pear & Freesia , 154 , I like both ), but this one is the best. I really fell in love with this scent and I enjoy it endlessly. It is a wonderful fragrance for day or night. I like being able to smell this scent on my clothes too. This fragrance lasts a long time, I love it!

OBSESSED

I wasn’t expecting to love this scent when I read the name but it is absolutely amazing. I have no idea what poppy and barley smell like alone. When I spray this on my body, I smell orange pulp which is weird because it’s not a note. Maybe it’s the mix with the blackcurrants, I don’t know. I smell like a mimosa. It’s fresh and a little bit fruity. I wish it had staying power. I need to spray throughout the day so the small bottle will not last me very long but I have not found another scent like this so I will most likely be purchasing the larger bottle.

Perfect combo of musky and sweet

I was walking down the street behind this mom pushing her baby in the stroller. I knew I would regret if i didnt ask her what perfume she was wearing bc it smelt SO good. She told me it was the Poppy and Barley scent from Jo Malone and I immediately went home to purchase. I am trying to save it for special occasions bc it is pricey but it smells intoxicating. It is definitely not a sweet smell, but does have subtle notes of sweetness that peak through through out the day, but it leans more toward a muskier/manly scent, which I personally enjoy. It has just the right amount of muskiness, freshness, and sweetness. I recommend at least getting a sample!

Smells nice on my hubby

My husband wears Jo Malone fragrances exclusively. He's hooked. With this fragrance the Poppy and Barley, he combines English Oak & Hazelnut & it's very light, clean, sexy. On me, the Poppy & Barley smells masculine. I do better with Red Rose, Peony & Blush Suede, Nectarine Blossom & Honey, Orange Blossom or an old favorite White Lilac & Rhubarb. I tend not to combine my Jo Malone fragrances. But hubby always smells terrific.

Subtly Sexy

I first discovered this scent from a sample in a magazine ad around 2015 or 2016 & meant to buy it because I just loved the way it smelled on me. I've moved around a few times all across the country and this year I wanted to buy a new fragrance and I remembered this scent. Thank goodness it's still in production, well I not only bought the perfume but I bought the body creme/lotion as well. I absolutely adore this fragrance. Its my 1st foray into the Jo Malone family (of fragrances) and it's great to be here. If you love this type of scent you're definitely going to enjoy this fragrance. The creme/lotion is absolutely divine. It took a few hand washings (4+) before the scent came off, now that's something!!!! Needless to say I'm very pleased w/my purchase. Warm and comforting

I love Myrrh and Tonka, so I thought I would try this for layering. I bought both the creme and the cologne. I used to have a Mimosa tree, until we had a cold winter and it did not survive. This cologne really reminds me of the way I would catch a whiff of the mimosa as I walked by. The cardamom seems to ground it perfectly. It is a soft scent, but it really does last on my skin, more so than some of the other Jo Malone scents. A good buy, I will purchase again.
