I purchased this as a gift for myself, and Jo Malone has impressed me with the fragrance. It's not overpowering; instead, it's light and fresh with excellent staying power. Initially, it may resemble a man's cologne upon spraying, but it transforms into a soft woodsy scent during the dry-down, devoid of any lavender notes. The final result is more of a unisex fragrance. I appreciate its versatility, as it pairs seamlessly with other woody fragrances, adding a feminine touch. Definitely want to try another perfumes from this brand😍

Disappointed with this

Thought I'd try a new scent from a perfumer I had never used before. Tried on small spritz on my wrist - let it dry and could smell next to nothing. Certainly no lavender; for a scent which has reviews stating it's a masculine or unisex scent, I didn't smell birch or lavender. And I must have sneezed 8 times after sniffing my wrist, so I don't know why I cannot smell it. Something there to make me sneeze! Returning.

I received a sample of this scent. I love Jo Malone scents, but I did not think I would like this one because the name screamed masculine to me. However, I adore the scent, and now plan to purchase a bottle. The scent is a true unisex fragrance that is calming and cozy, relaxing, and I find it to be dangerously sexy. It would also be a great scent for layering - I had a bit of Estee Lauder's Tender Light still on my wrist when I tried the sample, and the two of them together screamed "come to me". My only complaint is the size of the sample, which is literally an alcohol wipe soaked in the fragrance. Favorite from Jo Malone

In the late eighties, I remember finding a birch soap and hand cream from Crabtree and Evelyn and absolutely loved them. Then it was discontinued, of course. This fragrance took me back to that decade and memories came flooding in. That was incredible.Lavender always calms me, which is needed, being the care-giver of my frustrating parents. This fragrance can take me to a happy place.Having the lavender on top of the birch is like winning a fragrance lottery.After falling in love with this one quickly, I bought a 2nd bottle. Just in case it is a seasonal or limited edition.

GORGEOUS

I have been a long time Jo Malone fragrance collector. The Silver Birch Lavender has been on my wish list for a while. Finally bought it and am so happy with it. I generally like fresh, earthy, green, herbal, woodsy and citrus scents. I don’t have a “signature scent” as I like to play with fragrance and wear according to my mood. (wood sage sea salt is my typical go to as well as earl grey).Silver birch gives me my woodsy comfort in a light way appropriate for summer. IMO. My body chemistry tends to draw out floral (which is funny because I don’t exactly care for floral scents) and this does not smell floral on me at all. Which I like.

Love the scent!

My husband purchased it for Mother’s Day. We both love the scent. The only thing is when I got home and opened the box the color is yellow. It’s not clear or translucent like the ones I have. I have a couple of bottles of JML and it’s both translucent. Is it because of oxidation or is it supposed to be yellow?

My New Everyday Scent!

I moved to Jo Malone scents last year, when my old fave from a different brand was discontinued. It's always been a challenge for me to find a scent that doesn't give me a headache, so I tend to use men's fragrances. Myrrh and Tonka and Lime Basil Mandarin are two that I instantly loved, but wanted something a bit lighter for everyday wear. After reading the comments for Silver Burch Lavender, I bought a bottle without testing it- I have never done that before! I am so very glad I did! It's fresh and clean, and is lovely after the dry down. The first day I wore it, I received literally 4 different compliments from strangers asking what scent it was - that has never happened to me! Pair with Blackberry and Bay

When my sales associate asked what are my top Jo Malone faves and I said Orange Bitter, Myrrh and Tonka, and Blackberry and Bay (and a bunch of others), he suggested layering with Silver Birth & Lavender over Blackberry & Bay…tried it and it was UNREAL how gorgeous the fragrance I TRULY LOVE became EVEN MORE AMAZING. Well worth engaging the experts at the counter because they usually have some great recommendations…this was spot-on. Adds depth, richness, staying power to an already gorgeous fragrance. A must-try.

Very nice scent but not long lasting or strong

The scent for this cologne is wonderful. I bought it as a gift for my dad for Father's Day. I was told by the salesperson that he would only need to spray it on once and the scent would persist throughout the day. Unfortunately, the scent is actually a bit weak and does not last very long. At the price point, it's not quite worth it. This is my first experience with Jo Malone colognes and was quite disappointed.

scent nice how shipment handle horrible

The scent is great however I had the perfume shipped to Nordstrom rack because it is local and Nordstrom shipped the perfume without a box! In the bag was just the glass bottle of perfume! I asked the associate and she said that is how it came! Wow so is Nordstrom shipping testers and selling for full price? Either way I believe that is poor customer service and bad look for Jo Malone!
