Taste:ExcellentQuality:excellentSome of the cans surely got dented. Last round of order also like this. dented cans can compromise contents, prone to bloating. Wish the mart can be more careful with cans packing/selection of packers. dun think is transportation problem cos everything else is fine.

Delicious!

I bought 4 of these to replace the tuna. I went off tuna. These are very well 'packaged'. 1 can does for a snack, 2 for a meal. Easy to put in a pan with rice and veg. Yummy to eat. I shall I think order them on a regular basis. Light food, nourishing and good for weight watching. Thank you Waitrose!

I always have a tin of this in my cupboard . Very useful to make a sandwich at lunch time as I have my main meal in the evening. I had vinegar to the salmon and add cucumber to make a delicious and filling sandwich. Unfortunately it is very expensive at the moment.

Not Skinny nor Boney M !

There were some batches which had the wrong label on, compared with the webpage copy text. Skinless and Boneless is now not available, so we have to get used to eating this, if we want this type of snack. This Red Salmon has been my favourite for years because I am not a good cook; I have to eat it like it is with toasted bread or, extravagantly: mashed potato. . One other reviewer said she put it down the sink because she didn't like the bones and the skin etc., it is best to complain to Ocado and they'll give you your money back, when it isn't as advertised; don't throw the item away without taking a photo first. . Write them a letter, the staff are understanding of our need to get food satisfaction when shopping. Be nice when writing your complaint, though. Simple. Fuss-free. Pink Salmon in a Can.

This used to be a cupboard staple for me. And it will be again. I'd forgotten how useful a decent tin of salmon can be - it had arrived as a Star Reviewer offer. In this case, my sister - who's pretty picky - arrived and said no to lamb saddle. The best cut you can buy. Well, I ask you, what?s a gal to do? Thinking quickly, I turned myself around and knocked up a quick pasta for lunch with Ocado?s John West pink salmon. Firstly, cook some decent pasta to the al dente stage in plenty of boiling water and a dash of Himalayan salt (lots of minerals). Add the drained salmon to another pot and gently stir in lemon zest from half a big lemon, 250mls of fresh chicken stock and about the same of double cream. Plate it up with parsley or chives snipped on top. It went down ... MoreThis used to be a cupboard staple for me. And it will be again. I'd have given 5 stars if it had been responsibily sourced.

Usually on a Par with the M and S Version

"Continually Ensuring the Highest Quality Pink Salmon", they say....not anymore. Horrible brown and bitty with an unusually high volume of spine bones and pin bones - very substandard. My normal two-ingredient Salman mayo was a very discoloured murky khaki beige and gritty! I am happy with the usual amount of bones and have been buying this for years for that very reason, but this went to a whole new level. It should be described as Bones with a Splash of Salmon. If the reviews are consistently mentioning a change to the quality, then there is cause for concern. My question is who is responsible for down-voting all the honest reviews?! Does it REALLY sound like the work of paying customers??

Very expensive small tin of pacific salmon
23 October 2019

I was given this for free in return for a review. I would never have bought this tiny tin of salmon because of the very high price per 100g, but somehow expected it to be better than other tins of salmon because of the price. However, it's just the same as the cheapest, i.e. beside the actual salmon there is also soft bones and some skin - and the taste is the regular taste of tinned salmon (and there is no taste difference between pink and red, by the way). I can't help wondering why anyone would buy such a small tin, with just enough salmon for a single sandwich or very small salmon sallad or other dish. For those who are hooked on the brand, Ocado sells a John West red salmon tin that is more than twice as large for only 50p more, and a John West pink salmon tin ... MoreI was given this for free in return for a review.
