This brush unit looks good, stylish even given its use. But the brush head is not significantly more effective than regular brushes and after just 3 weeks the shaft was pitted with rust. We hadn't used it that much as it is located in a guest bathroom. Contacted Joseph directly who advised that toilet cleaner chemicals affect the shaft material, and that the whole thing should be washed under a tap after each use - not a useful, practical or hygienic solution. A flawed design.

A great replacement for a mucky old conventional brush. It’s quite different from a normal brush and takes a little getting used to, but it is durable and way more hygienic. It looks neat and does the job very well.

It has a small footprint and can be moved around easily. I think the silicon is easier to clean and be more fully cleaned than a brush. With a little drip drying while held over the toilet with the toilet lid it dries completely, and it's easy to see that it has dried completely, so that the stand for the brush is also kept clean.These were my major considerations, and they're all good.However, it is a little harder to clean the under rim inside the toilet bowl. The silicon nubs aren't quite hard enough, and not quite long enough. It doesn't scrub as strongly on the inside of the bowl itself. This is quite an amazing toilet brush. It's very bendy to clean around curved rims etc and lightweight to handle. I found it very easy to flush and clean the brush after cleaning the toilet. It also has an attractive pot to stand in when not in use. It is made from plastic and stainless steel, with a D shaped cleaning flat head with anti-drip and anti-clog properties. Having always used a conventional old style toilet brush, I admit I was sceptical about this new design but I am delighted to say that I am very impressed. It is easy to use, easy to handle and easy to store without being too obtrusive.

However, it did an adequate job though it did take some getting used to. If your toilet was in a poor state though, you'd be reliant on chemicals and elbow grease and I think a standard toilet brush would serve you better.It was a lot stiffer than I expected it to be, though it was still flexible enough to use and go up under the rim and round the bowl and towards the U-bend with. Impressive toilet brush with a nice and modern design. The material is flexible (silicone) and it easily reaches all the areas (even under the toilet rim). It is a very hygienic brush, it doesn't hold water or dirt and it doesn't drip. It gets dry soon after using it. This must be one of the most hygienic brushes on the market. It comes with a slimline holder for compact storage. It is compact and tidy.Easy to use, clean and store.
I think the product is fine. Easy to clean the loo. Would be better if it bent a bit easier. Water drains off easy so none drips into holder. Feels much mor hygienic than my old one. I wasn't impressed with the delivery however. The parcel arrived looking like it had been kicked around like a football and the handle was poking out. It was poorly fastened with sticky tape by the delivery agent. I'm annoyed I had to pay for this delivery. I'm enclosing a couple of pics - I have more. I contacted Joseph Joseph straightaway and have heard nothing after about 3 week. Not happy
However I try to angle the brush, the shaft 'clacks' against the bowl. I squirted Fairy washing liquid round the bowl and this brush was hopeless at creating any lather or even making contact with most of the liquid (it's not as flexible as claimed) so no idea how it's supposed to clean the bowl if it's not making enough contact to even remove washing up liquid? As for under the rim, I don't think there are enough 'bristles' on this brush to clean there effectively. I get that the silicone style is hygienic and easy to dry and the brush is certainly aesthetically pleasing but in my opinion it's difficult to get the 'bristles' to go everywhere you'd want them to and it's just not fit for purpose. I have a lot of Joseph Joseph products. I bought one for myself & my daughter. We both agree we really love this. It reaches all around the toilet. Design is nice & light wait.Very happy consumer
