Joseph & Joseph Multi Grip Mandoline - Green

Very sharp instrument. Slices vegetables very well. The thing scares me though. I had a close call with bare fingers foolishly ignoring the use of the safety push tool that comes with it. None the less. Great for slicing veggies and fruit as mentioned. Watch your fingers lol

Can't recommend this at all

Terrible. The only thing i managed to slice was a courgette that was so thin it was tasteless. Bi proper instructions. I expected much better with a Joseph Joseph product.

Confusing but good

A bit confusing at first. Thought part of the design was the packaging. Take a while to understand the settings and guard option today. I’ve not had a mandolin before so maybe it was that. But really fast and efficient with the cutting and cleaning a doddle too.

Danger

I tried this gadget for the first time last night to slice carrots. Unfortunately it also sliced part of my finger. It is still bleeding 14 hours later so now contemplating a trip to A&E. I know I should have been more careful but PLEASE put a warning with this gadget about how sharp the blade is and to take extra care when using.

Does a fine job with fruit and vegetables.

Very pleased, especially for the price. This looks a bit wimpy when taken out of the box; however, it works quite well. Takes a bit of getting used too, and that last section of fruit or vegetables is a bit difficult. USE THE HAND GUARD!!! Don’t be a fool like I was and think you’ll know when to stop … I sliced my thumb and knuckles. I have played with all three thickness settings, and I think two is my go-to for most things. I have only tried with fruit and vegetables. I’m interested to try it with slicing meat for sandwiches. I would recommend this product.

Easy Peazy Weazy!

I love this little handheld mandoline. I already own a Kitchen Aid one that is well made, but it is larger and sits up on the table. It is a bit unwieldy when I try to clean it, and so I tend to not use it much. I have already used this one more in a week than I have with the Kitchen Aid one all year. Don't get me wrong, they are both nice and well made, but the size and ease of use with the Joseph Joseph one makes it the winner by far!

Good Range of Cut Depths.

The blade has positions, 1.2.3 & Lock. These are very easy to adjust & have approximate cut depths of 1mm, 2mm & 3mm.The lock position hides the blade away almost fully, which I found very good.Super sharp blade cut swede and other root veg with ease.The holder gripped a range of veg well and easy to use. As with all of these holders there remains a small piece of veg in the the grip. Please cut the remainder with a knife on a board, NOT BY HAND on the blade as I found out to my peril! :-(Cutting blade width is 85mm.Although plastic its very sturdy.Handle has a slight angle which makes it comfortable to use.The handle and bottom edge have rubber grips which made if feel safe & secure when cutting.All in all a robust product with some great ... MoreThe blade has positions, 1.2.3 & Lock. Having chopped off the end

Having chopped off the end of my finger on a mandolin twenty years ago, I have avoided them ever since. But this one is really safe, really easy to use, and has changed my culinary life! Highly recommended.

Neat little gadget

Pretty good once you get the hang of it. However, I tried to cut a jersey tomato with it and that was a bit difficult because a tomato is a little softer fruit. The cucumber and red onion sliced with no problem. You just have to play around with the size adjustment until you get the cut that you want. Very easy to use and to clean. Great price when you consider the prices of mandolines in general.

Superb product that does what it says and is safe as well!

This is an excellent small mandoline and one I feel very safe with.After a rather nasty accident with my old one I became quite scared to use such an item but this one has really got all the safety features one could ask for.Great that it has three settings and also locks safely.The Grip for vegetables, etc. is excellent and the non-slip foot is an added bonus.I can highly recommend it for the small domestic kitchen.
