This is a really good purchase and makes tearing off individual paper towels much easier. I like it so much I'm going to purchase another.It looks good and is very stylish.The only small issue I have is that the top could be more securely attached as it flips off whilst in use occasionally (it has to be removable to enable the roll of paper towel to be put in place).

I bought this in Lakeland in Bath - I hadnt realised as there was nothing to point out to me that you are restricted with which kitchen rolls you use. Like an alternative reviewer I also mainly use Regina Kitchen towels and they are too big! I needed to replace mine it goes with the kitchen and I cant get to a Lakeland in the near future to change it so I will need to keep it. If I was going to buy it online I would have seen the reviews and the description but buying it in the shop none of this was obvious. As I said - a little dissapointed.

Unfortunately didn't see the earlier review about the Regina brand of kitchen roll before purchasing. This holder is approx 27.5cm tall and unscrews at about 23cm to allow you to place the roll on the holder. I use the brand Plenty which is about 28cm tall so once placed onto the holder it is impossible to screw the top back on to actually hold the roll in place. Other than that looks like a great idea although as others have said it is very light with no weight in the base. But thank you to Customer Services who promptly arranged a refund upon contacting them.

This is a good functional item. I like the push down top that allows you to choose one sheet at a time or more if you wish.On the negative side the stand does end up looking like it has dust lying on the bottom of it. These are particles coming off the actual kitchen roll I use. This would not stop me from recommending this item it is just something to be aware of.
Looks good and love that it will hold the large Costco paper towel rolls. Only problem is that, even when pushing down the lock, the paper towel still unravels. Not a big issue but it doesn't do the job as advertised.
The great thing about this kitchen roll holder is the fact that by resting the heel of your hand on the top button, it steadies the roll, enabling you to grab and tear a sheet or two with your free hand. Wet, sticky or muddy hands ... are therefore not a problem !! Quick and easy disassembly too for roll change. Neat and smart. Perfect.
I read all the reviews and have to say that I absolutely love this kitchen roll holder! It is so easy to use : you just push down the top with one hand and tear off a sheet with the other. It takes a second and there is no more unwinding a whole lot by accident. Also, the gently rounded bottom does keep the loose end in close. Best kitchen roll holder I ever purchased (and I have gone through a few!)
Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the item it does not effectively tear paper and I think is not up to Joseph high standards. I have a lot of Joseph items over the years and highly recommend them. However not this item. It is expensive for me a pensioner but too problematic for me to return. I will endeavour to find another holder. Sarah
This product really works for me. Does what it says on the box. Being able to hold the kitchen roll still by press down on the top button is so helpful. Especially when hands are sticky, or you want to mop up spillage while holding something in your other hand when cooking.. love it a useful addition in my kitchen
This product has insufficient thread at the top so once loaded and tightened the top recurrently falls off. It is also very light so regularly tips over when the kitchen roll is getting low. Cheap product and very disappointing for John Lewis.
