We got the Joseph & Joseph sharpener to breathe new life into old knives which it has done very well. It packs down to a small unit which fits nicely into a cutlery draw. Very easy to use, would recommend.

This is a must have for any kitchen. Its compact design means that it is easily stored away. Once opened out you find 2 sharpening blades, one for dull blades and one to maintain sharpness. My useless chefs blade that I haven't been able to use for years has sharpened up beautifully, to the point where I could slice through a sheet of paper! The sharpener clings to the worktop while sharpening so there isn't any slippage at all. I wish I'd found this years ago.

Having recently lost my husband who sharpened knives the old fashion way I decided to buy this product and am extremely pleased with it. As it's retractable it takes up very little space the my draw . I definitely would recommend this neat little item to everyone. Good price as well well worth the money.

Just buy it. Its got a wheel for really blunt knives, and a wheel for sharpening.Just 5 strokes will do the job. It grips well to the tableIts better than throwing away a blunt knife and buying a new one.It's good to get a honing steel (aka sharpening steel) to straighten up the knife edge.You know, the rod/stick.Your knife can be really sharp, but after some use, the edge will fold... and it will feel like it's not cutting very well.We think it needs sharpening, but no, we just need to straighten up the edge with a steel
This little sharpener is excellent don’t be fooled that it isn’t doing the job like my husband did. Running his finger along the knife found out to his peril. (Not recommended)
I always struggled sharpening knives! This does the job in half time and left with excellent sharp knives for use! Highly recommend! After using it bought one extra for my sister too !
Well, I had a similar type of kitchen knife sharpener years ago, and decided give this one a try. I've been using it now for about a month. If anything, it seemed to have blunted my knives, and I have gone back to using a steel.
I have been using a steel to sharpen my kitchen knives for years and saw this little gadget. I am glad I made the purchase as it is so much easier to sharpen my knives. It flips out, you slide your knife through the small or medium slot and then it packs away so doesn't take up much room and is very light. If you find using a steel awkward then this is a must have in the kitchen.
