I know that's a bold claim to make, but this shampoo (and the accompanying conditioner) have actually changed my lifestyle. I have long and fine hair: enough of it to knot really badly but not enough to provide any volume at all. I have tried pretty much every product on the market for fine hair: shampoos, serums, dry shampoos, powders etc. at many price points, and I have never found anything that would provide more than a few hours worth of lift/volume.I've had to wash my hair every day because second day hair has always looked really limp and flat, and occasionally greasy even if I've not had any product in it. So when I say it's life changing it really is - I no longer have to wash my hair every day, I don't have to use a hairdryer every day either saving time, water and money. I use two pumps of the shampoo every other day and I still have product left in the bottle from starting use at the end of April.I couldn't recommend it more highly. I've bought some for my mum (from whom I inherited my hair thickness) who is also really impressed. It may seem a bit expensive as an initial outlay but I think I'm going to get 4 months of washes from one bottle so will definitely work out cheaper than a high street shampoo.

My hair is fine, long, and naturally pretty straight, and my scalp gets oily quickly from hard water build up so I have to wash my hair at max every 3 days if I want to wear it down. The Embody line is INCREDIBLY drying. My hair gets super tangled, but I can still comb it out without clumps falling out. But man my scalp does get really flaky, even with the scalp oil, and it's not helping with excess oil. HOWEVER, it does give a beautiful lift especially when I do a blowout, and my hair does stay silky smooth when it dries. After a month of using this, rotating with the Undamaged shampoo/conditioner, I'm not noticing significant hair loss thankfully. I have fine hair but its always been decently thick. I moved by myself across the country last year, lost my grandmother, had terrible side effects from my birth control pill, and I began losing a lot more hair than I used to. This in part caused my hair confidence to plummet and with my greasy Italian scalp it was impossible to not feel stressed about how it looked every single day.Since switching to JVN, I've started my hair redemption journey and I'm feeling so much more confident now (I sound like an ad, JVN sponsor me!). I use the pre-wash scalp oil, embody shampoo, nurture conditioner (I live in an arid climate otherwise I'd use the embody conditioner), embody foam, and air dry cream or complete instant recovery serum on heat treat days. To put all of this product in my fine, thin hair and not feel weighed down and instantly greasy is a miracle (jk its SCIENCE). I will note, since I use the oil before each wash I do have to wash my hair twice (2 pumps the first time, 1 the second) but after my hair feels the cleanest its ever felt without feeling stripped. On the second wash the shampoo lathers incredibly well even with just the one pump. I've been on the same bottle for three months and haven't needed to buy a replacement yet!In order to get the full effects and benefits of this line it took a few weeks of using only these products to fully acclimate my hair/scalp to them. Even though these products are silicon free my hair feels so soft and is so much easier to detangle when I get out of the shower. Previously I had to dump so much leave in conditioner into my hair to detangle, now I don't need anything and can just run a comb through it. The products feel great to the touch and don't leave my hands or hair feeling greasy and sticky. If these continue to work for me the way they have worked during the past three months, I don't see myself changing products ever. My scalp is significantly less oily, I can go two/three days before needing a wash without using dry shampoo (even after sweating at the gym), I have so much more volume (especially with the foam), my hair feels stronger, thicker again, and it just smells so freaking good.The bottom line is I am so grateful I gave these products a shot and I genuinely hope you do to. I don't have to wash my hair as often since I started using the JVN line (from every other day to every third day). As for the scent; while my stylist, at a big name natural salon, was washing my hair, she leaned in and asked what I've been using. She said my hair smelled so nice. She descreetly asked me again for the name of the line before I left.
