It is a an amazing air dry cream that leaves my wavy hair feeling soft, sans any of that crunchiness or heavy weighed down feeling other creams have, and it helps to define my unruly waves. I also like that the packaging is recyclable.I highly recommend this product, especially since I feel it’s quite reasonably priced, has some great clean ingredients, and helps keep my poof ball hair, smooth, shiny and defined without weighing it down.

I am writing this same review for the Air Dry cream, the undamaged shampoo, and the nurture hydration conditioner. Today was my first time using these 3 products and I already love them. First the shampoo, the consistency was a tad runny but had a nice slippery feel to it. I like the scent ( smells like natural essential oils ) and I like how much it lathers and spreads you only need one pump. Secondly the conditioner, it smelled a little weird (like old lady perfume in an essential oil way, wasn’t too bad tho). The samples that come from the JVN website are SUPER small so don’t get excited just buy the full size air dry cream if you want to try it, the full size of the moisture mask is bigger than I expected and I’m excited to try it at the end of this week.

I believe all those claims to be true because I’ve never had a hair product thoroughly impress and amaze me thus far… I use this product on freshly shampooed/conditioned hair that’s been somewhat towel dried; I’ve used it alone and with other high end products… Bottom line, this product has transformed my normally frizzy, somewhat wavy hair to a curly frizz-free dream. What I appreciate about JVN is the way he encourages everyone to embrace what they've got going for them, even if they want to change it up to feel our best. My hair texture is long and what can only be described as ultra-frizzy. It likes to loop and curl back on itself in one giant mass; there are, like, right angles in my hair. This is especially trying as an Asian woman, where there is literally no representation of my hair type in our cultural beauty standard, though I'm certainly not the only Asian woman with this hair. The ideal is always straight, glossy, shiny hair, maybe sometimes permed wavy hair, but never this huge, heavy behemoth I've never made peace with in my 30+ years. And even then, it's always been straightened, not really an enhancement of my natural curls. I was intrigued by this air dry cream after really liking the shine drops and reading how it has helped others who seem to have similar relationships to their hair as me. Could this finally help me feel good being myself? It has not disappointed. My hair has never been this soft and shiny without any heat styling. Being able to apply this cream and let my hair dry is an absolute dream. I do still need to use quite a bit and brush it through regularly as its drying, and I also still need to pair it with a serum. But at least I don't need my hair dryer. I'm also not a huge fan of the tangerine smell since I have a sensitivity to citrus scent, but it doesn't really stick around. Additionally, I've noticed that I can go longer between washes. Thank you, JVN and staff, for this amazing creation. I am finally feeling something closer to kindness with what I have.

Curing My Curls

I have had thick, dry, curly hair for so long. I can’t count on two hands how many different products, shampoos, conditioners, etc. etc. that I have tried over the years. None of them ever seemed to successfully hydrate my hair and give me the ability to style it. Beyond that, I found that most products would make my hair extremely weighed down, which is a problem since my hair is already extremely thick and dense. Phenomenal product! It is definitely different from all the rest and I think the best product I’ve ever used on my hair other than a professional treatment in a salon. After using so many different products I think sometimes that they are all practically made the same and labeled differently but this is the real deal and I trust JVN. Not for fine hair

Disclaimer, my hair is not like real hair-- it's like if a baby bunny grew out its fur to human shoulder length. Same thing. I rely on Aveda Phomollient for my hair to exist and to almost blend in with the humans, but wanted to get away from its exorbitant cost and how short it lasts. What THIS product does is emphasizes all the qualities of my hair so much that, while it would turn someone else's hard crunchy hair into my hair, what it did to my hair was turn me into Pizza Rat. Itchy, greasy, shrunk my hair, was like if I put a light coating of vaseline in it. Second critique, I used it a total of twice, an extremely sparing amount, yet the scent was with me through many washings with many different products, maybe for a couple weeks. Well I used this for two weeks, I had to go to an event and so I was able to blow dry it and straighten it without complelty damaging my hair. I still at this point have just been concentrating on renewal of my hair. Combining this with the air dry cream has really worked well. It also gives a smoothing frizz free effect to my hair. Helps me to feel a bit more confident. I see less split ends and plan to get my hair cut soon and continue to use it to see and see the difference it makes. So far, so good. If you use the cream the way you are actually supposed to for curly hair ignoring the direction completely then it works great. What I mean by using it the right way is applying the product to your sopping wet hair right before exiting the shower. This is the correct way to apply curly products to curly hair. If you follow the directions then you end up with a floofy frizzy mess that looks greasy and dirty. If used correctly your curls and waves look hydrated and soft. I have not tried to diffuse with my hair at all with this as I try not to use heat when wearing my hair natural.For the blow out milk I have only really used this a handful of times as I don’t dry my hair often. The days I did blow dry my hair though, I applied the milk after squeezing most the water out of my hair. Then I blue dried my hair in sections with my large barrel brush. This left my hair feeling smooth and shiny without the weight. I also used a tiny bit on my hands for any flyaways. The packaging is nice as well. The air dry cream comes in an aluminum tube and cardboard box. They say recyclable. The milk comes in a nice glass bottle and cardboard box. They are reasonably affordable as a treat. They are both under $28 and actually on sale right now for $20. They are above my normal budget but they would make a nice every now and then pamper product. The thing I love the most about the products is that they are a cruelty free brand and I would feel comfortable purchasing after they are gone.All in all I would recommend if you are looking for something new.
