JVN Hair Nurture Deep Moisture Mask

Used this in the shower instead of my regular conditioner and let it sit for about 3 minutes. I swim 3x per week in a chlorinated pool and my hair is bleached blonde, so definitely dry and needed some love. My hair felt immediately smoother upon rinsing and was frizz free after blow drying. It feels less like straw and I can’t wait to use this mask again next week!I will say that the smell is strong while using, so if a woody/beachy/powdery smell isn’t your thing, obviously you won’t love it. However, it does fade significantly once your hair is dry and I think the results are worth it.

Picked this up on a whim after eyeing it for a while. Long story short, I damaged my hair a year and a half ago and have it mostly recovered except a bit on the lengths. I love jvn styling milk and nourishing oil so I had high hopes for this. I used this in place of my conditioner and let it sit for 5 minutes. Just letting it air dry, my hair felt like normal, healthy hair again on the damaged areas. I only needed a pea sized amount to achieve sleek, soft, shiny hair. The small tube will last a long time using a small amount 1-2 times a week so the price is justified in my eyes. Full size tube is $24 and well worth it.

This mask is perfection! So intensely hydrating and smells divine. It's a very thick consistency that you only need to use once a week to replace your conditioner. After leaving it in for a good five minutes and rinsing out my hair feels also brand new. Not to mention the warm, amber touch of floral scent it brings with it. Not too loud, very subtle scent. Soft, smooth, shiny and so silky. It's everything! I have very long, fine hair straight hair that tends to get tangled but this mask is something special. Will be stocking up to always have on hand because it goes out of stock almost weekly!

A new staple in my hair regimen.

I want to start by saying I bought this not at Sephora, but I gave it a try seeing it in TJMaxx.I haven’t tried the JVN line before. I use mostly Kerastase/Oribe, but the reputation for JVN is pretty solid. My hair needed extra moisture, not just conditioning. I’m a platinum platinum blonde (bleached), and maintaining good moisture in the Arizona desert can be challenging. The scent is nice for me, I see a lot. Of reviews here that don’t like it; it’s all personal. I care about how a product works, and this WORKS. My hair is so soft, so nourished and so beautiful after using this mask. Highly recommend.

Alarming People Are Getting Very Different Smells

(1) Made my hair smell like old baby powder for two days straight. Had to wash our sheets, so that's a hard no alone. (2) Very drying. Hair looked like a frizz pit, so I don't get the hype (love JVN the person; expect a lot out of his products). Used a high quality hair oil over it, and my hair drank it right up. (3) I personally find it alarming that people are complaining about completely different scents from the same exact product that offers no choice in scents. That says there aren't quality controls in place in the manufacturing process and the ingredients label can not be trust. This is going straight in the trash bin.

Amazing, transformative, magical

Before, my hair was so frizzy, dry, angry, and unmanageable due to bleaching and the bad decision to try a keratin treatment. I tried so many things, even olaplex, and either nothing worked, or it left my scalp greasy and hair limp and lifeless.Now, it's soft, bouncy, silky, and super easy to handle and balanced. Never too oily/greasy after the treatment. Great volume and life, actually!I didn't even realize how dry my hair was! I use this once/week and absolutely love it. Plus, the scent is perfection.

Really disappointed

The first couple of times I used, I felt my hair got softer and I was really happy but after that it seemed to have lost its effect on my hair. I use it weekly for minimum 2 hours before shampooing. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend since I did not see consistent results. I am also using all the JVN products. Hydrating shampoo, conditioner and curling cream. I bought all these products because a friend recommended JVN and I was hoping it would help with my dry and frizzy hair, but unfortunately, I haven't see any positive results except the first couple of times I used it.

Results are a slay, smell is a nay

I have used this moisture mask a couple of times now and I absolutely love the results - I have fine curly hair (but a lot of it) and during the winter it needs a ton of moisture. This mask really delivers and makes my curls nice and hydrated, I saw a noticeable difference in my styling both times I’ve used this in my routine.The smell however is very off putting. It’s musky and potent and unfortunately does linger even after washing it out. I don’t know if they were going for a scent that could be unisex and that’s why it’s so musky but it is awful.If I didn’t love the way this made my hair look and feel I definitely wouldn’t use it for the smell - but the results are too good, so I’ll keep it in the rotation.

I'm super impressed by JVN's line! Cruelty free, eco friendly, incredible ingredients inside with no junk and fair prices!? YES!!!! My hair is curly, wavy, dry, frizzy, unmanageable, starting to thin and got damaged in 2019- it is a lot to handle. I've tried thousands (no exaggeration) of products and I truly believe after using for a few months, this is one of the best lines on the market! I actually feel my hair changing and needing less overall product with consistent use. It is unbelievable! This mask is incredible. I use once weekly, washing my hair 2-3x a week.
