I've been a JVN user since 2021 and i'm glad i made the switch. the leave in is nice, the mask is heavenly and the Nurture line was/is my favorite. But like MANY other reviews (like 90% of them on sephora and the jvn site) WE WANT THE OLD SCENT BACK. I've been using this shampoo with the conditioner and mask for about a year now. My hair is naturally thick, coarse, and wavy. Do not be fooled by the styling- my bangs alone are more hair than most people have on their entire heads lol. I wash my hair about once a week or week 1/2. ( Just depends how active I am) My hair is naturally incredibly dry. I also go to the salon about every four weeks for blonde balayange so my hair NEEDS that moisture.This line works incredibly well on my hair. To the point where I actually get stopped to say that my blonde hair looks "so healthy and shiny" Two words that I would never before have ascribed to my hair. After I take a shower, I will partially dry my hair with a microfiber towel, section and spritz it with Dry Bar's Liquid Glass (the original formula- the one for thick hair is weirdly sticky), and then scrunch my hair a bit with Morrocan Oil treatment. Now before you, say AHA! That's what is moisturizing- I've tried the JVN without the oil and the heat protectant for a month- and it's just as good.So, if you want to give it a shot I recommend it- but, if you don't have the same hair type and wash your hair every day- it could have vastly different results. For me? 9/10 (My nose refuses to vote Sandlewood a 10, ever lol)

It's a gentle cleanse, so you'll want to use an SLS-based, clarifying/chelating shampoo every so often to cleanse the scalp. But alternating between this product and a SLS-rich shampoo is a great routine to promote your healthiest hair, rather than scorching it by using harsh, SLS-containing shampoos more regularly. I wash my hair around every three days with this JVN shampoo. And then use a clarifying shampoo approx. every 10-14 days.Less importantly (but still important) it has a really nice smell. It's not overpowering, and has a kind of gender-neutral profile. AND it comes in a pump bottle! ALL shampoos should come in a pump bottle, in my humble opinion...
