I purchased one of these safes from the Office Works Midland store yesterday. It comes with instructions that relate to the previous version of this product which says that you slide across the emergency lock cover to set up the safe, but as you can see from the picture the emergency lock cover on this version of the safe does not have a sliding cover. I contacted the Australian distributor of the safe and asked for current instructions. Still waiting on those. So if you are dead set on wanting to buy one of these safes from Officeworkes get them to pull one out of the box and show you how to set it up.

This safe lasted me 4 days, in that time the safe wouldn't lock after being opened multiple times, then got to the point where it was impossible to turn the key. A very cheap/useless product for the price.

I am experiencing the same difficulties as the others who have reviewed this product- cannot access the emergency key hole.It was certainly heavy to get home and it will be just as heavy to return for my refund. A waste of my time and energy. Don't sell products with dated instructions, what an inconvenience!

I purchased the safe a week ago,I found the instructions were confusing,I watched the set up video on my iPad. This was very helpful.After four days and very little use the display went blank, so I then had to use the keys.I inserted new batteries last night and reset the daté / time, but awoke to no display this morning.Lugged the safe back to Office Works. Very happy with there support and refund policy.
Bought this mid 2017 and had no trouble setting it up. Unlike a previous review in this section my safe came with set-up instructions pertaining to model I purchased, so no problems.Safe works perfectly, is nice and heavy at 33kg, can be bolted down and has great security and fail safe features.I would highly recommend this to anyone after a sturdy and fireproof safe of this size. Comparable models in big name safe brands cost 2-4 times as much, so this represents great value in my opinion.
The Safe is ok but the first instruction is wrong , if you look at the place where it tells you to put the emergency power backup box right next to it is a thinner slot if you push something up there the cover for the second key will fly off revelling the key hole.I learnt this from ringing Sandleford they are saying the instructions are old ones.
I have only had this 3 months and only opened several times and most times won't accept the codeNow can not open without using both keys cannot even reset this is not worth the money do not buy
See the first review back in 2015. Would have thought after 2 years this issue would have been solved.Safe model on the box matches the safe in the box. The manual model matches the safe on the instructions, but doesn't work for the safe. There is not "sliding panel" so I can't even open the safe for the first time to get it programmed. It's useless and such a hassle returning a 33 kgs safe for a refund up and down heaps of stairs!! NOT HAPPY JAN
