When it did work, the Karcher did a decent job of light cleaning of the tile, and I was satisfied - for a while. Not any more. My second mistake? Buying this unit. I would NOT recommend it.

Very easy and clear instructions with handy images if you're stuck!PRO'S- Easy to assemble, great docking station so doesnt look a mess even if you leave it in the kitchen, low noise when on and fairly lightweight. I went up and down 3 flight of stairs without losing my breath...and I carry a 5months baby bump too- The cleaning product that comes with it is mild and doesnt foam so is great for dark floors as they dont end up smeared- Great push and pull action similar to a vacuum so no need to work out your muscles prior to cleaning, just stroll around the home. For the edges just slide sideways to get all the hard to reach areas- The wireless function is absolutely great as it offers great maneuverability around the house ... I am positive it lasted more then 20 min then the advertised time- The device doesn't leave the floors soaked or streaky so in less then 3 minutes they are dry. The tank is easy to empty and to refill- The rollers stayed clean enough to be able to finish the whole house without the need to give them a rinse in between. At the end I placed them in the washing machine for a fast wash programme with the bath mats.CON'S- The device is quite tricky to use around the toilet area or narrow, curved spaces and gets slightly louder if bumped or stuck near furniture items- A very good thorough vacuuming is needed prior to the use of Karcher as I noticed that is not picking up any crumbs or small bits off and neither occasional hair that was on the floorOverall a great product that definitely is worth investing into and will declutter the cleaning cupboard of various types of mops. Just do a good vacuuming session prior to using it. I am extremely happy I got the chance to test this product!

In summary this is a handy way to get a quick daily mop, but the necessity to sweep first and the lack of deep cleaning means that it can’t replace a brush or vacuum and mop. The quick drying after cleaning may make this useful for those with large expanses of hard floor in constant use and a location where they can keep this on permanent charge but if instant drying is not important, there are awkward spaces to clean or no space to keep the unit on permanent charge, then the convenience is lost and the clean is not as good as with a mop, certainly not given the price of the cleaner.

I am quite impressed how good the results are with the use of so little water, which is ecological.The Kärcher FC3 Cordless rolls are simple to remove and can be easily and thoroughly cleaned either by hand or in the washing machine. It would be good to have a second pair included in the box for when one is dirty and you need an emergency clean but I am sure a spare set can be bought.One thing I will point out is the fact the motor sounds like it is struggling a bit and could do with a bit more power but this is a comment from an electronics engineer, professional hazard, and I wonder how much is it going to last in the long run. The other is that if the base was triangular it would be easier to store it in a corner and out of the way. As the handle goes beyond the base area to the back, makes it stick out from the wall and be a bit in the middle of the room.

Have to at this point that I vacuumed while carrying the Karcher floor cleaner in the other hand.. that’s how light it is.I cleaned all my downstairs floors..,( living room, dining room, bedroom, hallway, bathroom, kitchen, sunroom, utility room and vestibule) easily in one charge topping up the clean water tank once but without having to empty the dirty water tank despite it being a very small dirty water tank.The Karcher was very easy to use with a push and pull action liken vacuuming and the swivel head adding to the ease of use and left my floors beautifully clean and smelling fresh. It cleans right up to the edge of the floors.My floors are a mixture of real hardwood, Lino and tiles and the floor cleaner worked equally well on all of them.Cleaning the Karcher afterwards was again very easy. The dirty water tank was about half full of very dirty water and both it and it’s cover only needed a quick rinse under the tap. The rollers pulled off easily and again a rinse under the tap on my first use of the cleaner was all they required. On my second use I popped them in the washing machine to clean them and they came out perfect. Both times I just left them on the stand to dry naturally and they were very easy to reattach when dry.I actually can’t find anything bad to say about this cleaner. It’s light, it’s easy to use and clean and it is keeping my different hard floors lovely and clean.Totally recommend it.
I have really enjoyed using the Karcher FC3 cordless floor cleaner and it does clean floors well, but is it worth the cost.Once set up, the unit is simple to use and makes floor cleaning much easier than a traditional manual mop. You need to apply some pressure for stubborn stains, but apart from that its easily maneuverable and doesn't hurt your back. It leaves floors squeaky clean for both tiles and wooden floors and for me luckily 1 charge and 1 water tank was sufficient to clean all my floors. If it wasn't, then admittedly this would be a huge annoyance.Now the less positive aspects, first and most obvious is the cost; this is quite an expensive unit for what it does. The set up and clean up is fiddly and not as simple as I would have liked. The unit charge is ... So after using it for the first time, a week later I just assumed it would still have battery, but it didn't. My fault for not checking earlier, but it was frustrating as I had moved all the furniture ready to mop, but the unit wasn't ready - not an issue with a mop and bucket.The water tank in my opinion isn't the best design and it's hard to empty out the water and no matter how long I left out for, it never completely dried. Other things to consider are that you need to use the Karcher detergent and I assume at some point, the rollers need to be replaced as well and these are all additional costs.Bottom line...for me did this clean much better than a manual mop - no. Is a manual mop harder work - yes. Therefore is the Karcher FC3 worth the cost - NO, especially as there are potentially costly ongoing maintenance costs.
