Using the product on timber engineered floors. Pleased with the first pass to be fair it needs take two. One reservation the machine scratched the floor in a number of places. I thought the rollers may have picked up something but I found no evidence. Its difficult to understand. Im impressed by the standard of product design from this company so the scratch disappointed. I have photographs if you are interested.

We have a lot of wood flooring on one level. I got this to make floor cleaning more easy. I don't get to use it as my husband monopolises it - he loves it. I wouldn't bother with the battery powered one. The cord with this one is no inconvenience. There is no battery charging required, no extra weight, and this one is much cheaper. But, I would only recommend buying one if you have a lot of hard flooring. It is a big machine, and more clunky that a vacuum cleaner so the benefit outweighs the inconvenience if you have a large home. For homes that just have hard flooring in the utility areas, it would be overkill. Just use a bucket and mop.

I purchased my Karcher FC5 2.5 years back. It does an excellent job of cleaning the floor and its possible to cover a large area in a relatively short amount of time. It does struggle to remove very stubborn spots on the floor, so you had to agitate the stains with a fingernail in order to remove it. The battery life has drastically reduced overtime, I would estimate that has lost around 40% of the capacity which means that I can not longer clean the whole of downstairs without waiting for the painfully slow charge to complete. Currently I am not able to use the device as it has a power fault. That's very disssapointing given the age of the device. I may need to throw it away if it is not economically viable to repair due to high repair costs.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and will be returning it. . Well built machine but does not clean. The vacuum portion does not vacuum up much water. It leaves streaks with any kind of soap. It cleans better with just water. I was really hoping for a good cleaning machine. I read tons of reviews before purchasing this machine. Don't believe what you read. It is not worth the money. Honestly, it is probably the best built tool but it is poor for cleaning. Plus, it does not hold a charge for all the cleaning you need to do. It's good for about 15 - 20 minutes max. It takes about an hour for it to charge fully.
Bought this and used it for 1 week. We have two dogs. We vacuumed before we mopped each time. The hair wasn't a huge problem, but the mop is moving around dirty water. The rollers got wet and dirty very fast, whatever mechanism is supposed to suck the dirty water and add clean water, didn't really work. After mopping one room and drying you could see the steaks of dried dirty water. Returned and went back to a traditional mop, just not worth the money. Nice concept, but needs a lot of work before it's something useful for a household.
Rubbish product and expensive. used it only 3-4 times before water stopped going to the rollers . Tried to fixed with manuals , but had to go to YouTube video and learn to pull it apart ( they make it hard with special 6 point screws ) Like a lot of Karcher products I own , they look great in the store with their flashy yellow design , but they seem to break down quickly, handles break off, suction hoses don’t work. Maybe give the more expensive FC 7 a go instead . It’s a Gimmick , so back to the old bucket with hot water and mop for me . I am not here to discredit the brand but just telling the truth. . On the plus side , the vacuum seem to work well and battery life is reasonable.

It sits securely in the storage station while it is charging and when not in use. If the rollers get too dirty while washing your floors you can also rinse them off somewhat in the storage station but I found it just as easy to pull the rollers off and rinse them under the faucet and then reattach them. The unit is not heavy and it just glides itself along the floor with zero effort, you just need to guide it along. It is also not very loud, much more quiet then a vacuum cleaner. Bought this about 6 months ago. Works very well on smooth vinyl, but is much less efficient on textured vinyl planking. in addition, the edge of the rollers can leave dirty marks on the skirting or kickboards, necessitating a wipe down afterward. It does remove a lot of dirt but seems to struggle to get all dirt out of a textured surface. It does remove dirt but the textured floor is not clean even after several passes. As this flooring is the larger area in the house, I have reverted to using this first then the mop. I like being able to put the rollers through the washing machine. If your floors are smooth, you should be fine.
