K 5 Premium Electric Pressure Washer, 2000 PSI

It took me a while to get to use this with all the weather problems, but I finally got a chance to assemble it and try it out. The assembly process was a bit frustrating because the directions were kind of obtuse. I ended up just using common sense because the order of the illustrations and the written directions were hard to sync and follow. So kudos on that. Also, there is a really long hose that is very light weight, along with a light-weight wand. At first, I thought the lightweight build and materials were a negative, until I actually used it! Then it worked great with much less fatigue than I have encountered with other pressure washers I have used, both electric and gas-powered. So a real plus for ease of use. Also, the package comes with two wands that connect very easily with visible confirmation when the wands are locked in place. You know for sure when when the are connected. Also provided is a quick-connect for the water supply hose, a nice touch.Since it is an electric powerwasher, it is silent when you don’t have the trigger pulled. Might be nice if there were an on-off light, so you aren’t surprised! A friend of mine who works with a powerwasher tried mine out and said he would prefer to use mine for home projects compared to his heavy-duty unit because of the lightness (ease of use) and the relatively good power. 2000 psi is a lot of power for an electric unit, the high-intensity wand will gouge wood, if you let it!The detergent dispenser is very well designed, with easy to read markings on a translucent, removable bottle. Finally, the cord and hose storage of this unit is very well-designed (the hose has a built-in reel), so the unit stores very efficiently in a compact, vertical position, with all the tools on board. The wheels could be a bit more robust and roll better, but definitely good enough for home use.Bottom line: aside from the assembly hassle, I feel like this is an ideal home powerwasher with more than enough power to handle any homeonwer's to-do list, without wearing the homeowner out in the process!

Bought the Kärcher K5 Premium about a month ago. It was a little hard to follow the assembly instructions but it’s fairly easy to assemble. We tried the pressure washer on a small area of our patio and first thought it didn’t do much but it was a rainy day so everything was wet. After it dried, I saw the difference :) Even without any cleaning liquid, just water. Since then we did the rest if the patio and our driveway. I highly recommend the Deck and Driveway cleaner for large areas. I tried removing some dirt from the gutters and the siding of the house but not much happened there. Not sure if I was doing something wrong or need a cleaning liquid... The volume of the motor isn’t bad at all. The gas pressure washer of our neighbors is much louder. I have used Karcher electric pressures washers for 30 years. This is my third one and for the money they are worth it. I have really used them hard, but eventually mechanical things do break down. I probably could have gotten them repaired, bur it was a good chance to go to a more powerful tool. I have a Karcher under carriage washer I use in the winter for washing the junk from the bottom of my vehicles. It fits the new K5 Premium as do all the accessories I have from the other washers. I like the K5 for the reel roll up, and the adjustable cleaner dispenser. I like the electric pressure washers, because I have enough gas driven tools that won't start on weekends or when you need them. Not much to maintain with this tool I hope it lasts as long as my other two.
