I bought this jacket for Melbourne's winter and was disappointed with its performance. The medium was too small, but the large allowed the cold to enter through sleeves that are slightly oversized and neither taper near the wrist nor have a clasp or button to tighten. I also just didn't feel as warm as I expected, even with layering, despite supposedly being one of the warmest on offer. For the price, I could have done better. The colour is very nice in person, though.
I bought this primarily for Alaska in March and with 2 base layers I was warm in minus -30°C at night. Unzipped with a t-shirt, I was able to wear during the day in Seattle when it was 5 to 10°C
For the discounted price of $300 this jacket is well worth the money. Excellent wind protection/insulation, waterproof and plenty of pockets.
L size is so tight and XL is too big to fit. What is happening with this brand?? tried 2,3 jackets and same issue and i have to return both online orders because kathmandu is not the same as it used to be. It used to fit so well and now it’s all over the place.
