Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 Eau De Parfum 50ml

I’ve tried almost the entire line of #kayali fragrances, which is the line of scents from Huda Kattan’s (of Huda Beauty) sister Mona. It is based off the middle eastern tradition of scents, and you can definitely smell the inspiration. There is always something that misses the mark for me personally with Kayali, they are nice but they never cross over to signature scent or convince me to buy the full size. Then it transitions into a heady wood and patchouli, and veers into a jumbled base that can’t quite make up its mind. It’s not complex so much as confused as to what it’s trying to be. Therefore, this is a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you don’t have too much experience with middle eastern perfumes, this is a nice introduction that you can pick up at Sephora. I would recommend always getting the travel sized first, and this is not a safe blind buy.

This was a blind purchase, and it is absolute perfection! 20/10! It smells SO similar to that ridiculously expensive perfume that we all know of, the only difference is Lovefest smells better! When I tell you it is everything I hoped for and so much more. The sweet tartness of the cherry mixed with the warm praline, Palo Santo and patchouli is intoxicating. It starts off with the sour cherry, then the warm praline and PS hit, and the dry down is truly something special. The spicy patchouli with the sweetness and warmth of the cherry and PS blend together to create the most delicious gourmand warm, cherry sour sweetness that I could have ever imagined! It’s almost unavoidable to compare any cherry perfume to Lost Cherry. I have to say I actually blind bought lovefest burning cherry after falling in love with Lost Cherry (not the price tag) and also seeing the recommendation from Jus De Rose. To me, this perfume is in no way replacing my need for Lost Cherry but it is a good standalone perfume if you love a cherry note in your perfumes! While Lost Cherry is a much more decadent and creamy gourmand cherry almond mixture, it actually took me three tries to go from hating the fake cherry smell to completely falling in love with it. Lovefest, on the other hand, is much easier to wear for its fruity-woody character. Ok, so I've done all my tests on this fragrance Lovefest Burning cherry and here's what i discovered: The opening is very strong.. but it won't punch you in face. Pretty bearable. So in the opening you'll sniff decent bergamot (citrusy scent) blended with dat burnt, smoked cherry (tart/cake cherries) the burnt cherry smell is very prominent at the opening but dries down in a minute or two. You're also going to get very light n mild hints of jasmine and praline (candy) in the 3rd 4th sniff. So coming to its dry down, it starts to smell a lot like incenses and very smoky, woody & slightly musky. Now here you do get strong whips of patchouli nicely blended with tonfa beans scent which makes it smell really really sweet and delicious? with the hints of spicy notes. However, it's solely a winter, party night, date night n wedding night sort of a scent! In the day you might find it to be less refreshing but yes you can layer it up as per choice n it'll work just fine. Overall: It's deliciously sweet & spicy, seductive as well as elegant. Girls below 23/24 may not like it as it's a very mature n rich n deep scent. Dries down really woody n musky but smells more like frankincense in an expensive way. It does smell like an attar but not cheap at all. Very seducing and feminine. It's unique too. It doesn't lasts long on your skin thou ? up to 4 to 5 hours only but Mann! ? It literally stays soo soo well on your clothes!! Like for first 2-3 days you will definitely get those airy whips from your clothes after dat it starts fading. It was a great purchase I loved it

This was also the case with Vanilla 28 when I bought it last year. So I can't really speak for its longevity or for its silage but it's a very addictive scent that I am willing to buy a full size once I run out.

So when I stopped into my local Sephora to pick up a different fragrance I’d ordered online for store pick up, I browsed while waiting & tried this Lovefest Burning Cherry. I’m shocked how much I liked it! It opens with a rich, juicy tart Cherry & a hint of wood/smoke - got it, “burning cherry”. It’s interesting & complex & not at all overpowering or headache inducing for me. I wore it on a date night & it was a huge hit! I’d say this is a Fall/Winter scent. The box notes “burning cherry, raspberry, Palo Santo & Patchouli” as some fragrance notes. I have the full size Vanilla 28 and full Utopia Vanilla Coco with the travel in Vanilla 28 and travel Vanilla Royale and they are all beautiful. This scent is intoxicating. The sour cherry mixed with the warmth of the praline, Palo Santo and patchouli is perfection to my taste and i will continue to buy this as long as they make it. The only thing, and I will not call it a con because I like that it's not super strong and headache inducing, is that you will have to buy a travel spray and reapply after a few hours. I blind bought this perfume as recommended by some reviews on Youtube for cherry fragrances.Scent:Nice juicy and succulent cherry opening, but this note can turn a bit metallic or medicinal depending on the environment I am in. Freshly sprayed, I immediately smell the warm and sweet gourmand notes present, but these notes shine more once the cherry scent has completely dissipated.The dry down I feel is where it is the most lovely, and wearable both as an office scent or as an evening scent.
