I got this wonderful machine from my family for my birthday and it’s my new baby! We chose it for the powerful motor and I’m so glad we did! I use it all the time from lump free pancakes to pizza bases and of course cakes, icing and pavlovas. It makes cooking so EASY and produces great results. Cleaning up is hassle free which adds to its ease of use. I also love how light the metal bowl is!

I have only had my new Kenwood mixer for a few weeks but it is as expected. Great large mixing bowl for all those large recipes or double lots. Creams icing mixtures beautifully. My mother had a Kenwood mixer many years ago and it was very noisy and was worried this one would be also, happily it is a lot quieter than I remember my mother's Kenwood being, no noisier than any other household kitchen appliance. Comes with a good range of utensils that I am looking forward to using, the bowl cover is brilliant, keeps my mess to a minimum. The Kenwood mixer is a good sturdy build and has a nice weight to it preventing it from moving during use. I would highly recommend.

I’ve only ever had a hand held mixer so this is heaven for me. My husband loves to bake his own pizza bases so he is enjoying it as well. It a tough unit that seem to cope really well with heavy ingredients. I probably didn’t need the big capacity bowl but even small batches work well so happy with my choice. Purchased a cover so it now sits on my counter top ready when I am.

This food processor is excellent. Very powerful for most slicing, dicing, mixing chopping and blending as for making up large batches of specialty foods and exciting smoothies. I am able to make and store fresh food which helps save money for out of season fruit and vegetables. Also, my pastries and cakes are much more even in texture and take much less time to "whip" up. The great variety of attachments and useful gadgets encourage me to explore a whole new world of cooking and mixing foods together. It is extremely efficient, easy to operate and it's stainless steel makes it easy to clean-up mostly with plain hot water. It's robust and rugged construction gives me confidence to try new recipes.
As I purchased this on line without seeing it first, I probably chose the wrong model for me. This mixer is too big for my requirements. It doesn't cream the butter & sugar for a standard cake very well. The bowl is huge, so a bit challenging for pouring mixes out. I preferred my previous smaller Chef which recently stopped (suspect I overloaded the motor due to butter not soft enough). The splashguard is not as flimsy as to one on my previous mixer however it is difficult to put on. Once the splashguard it in place, the motor head will not lock in place so I can't use the splashguard. For a mixer at this price, I didn't expect to have to adjust the length of all the beater attachments prior to use. The entirely metal bowl facilitates double boiler methods, so now is the time to have a crack at that Swiss meringue buttercream you saw on Pinterest that one time. Trust me, it’s delicious. Fold in a little honey at the end, it’s divine! Which brings me to the folding tool... a fabulous addition for those recipes that warn against over-mixing. Go ahead and Google Martha Stewart Banana Cupcakes because now you can throw it all in this remarkably versatile appliance. My favourite feature of all was the one I didn’t even know it came with... the bowl lid!!! No more flour foofing up in your face while you’re getting your Masterchef on! I cannot talk up this appliance enough!
Powerful multi purpose mixer, Kenwood quality, great size bowl with another coming as a gift with purchase. Also fits a multitude of additional attachments to assist with a variety of preparation tasks besides the selection that came with mixer. Dough hook, balloon whisk, folding paddle and K mixer. Excellent addition to my kitchen.
I just love my new Kenwood Chef! I had been wanting to update my old Kenwood Chef after 30 years plus of good service and my wonderful husband bought this for me as a Mother’s Day gift. The Kenwood Chef XL is a solid and sturdy machine in silver and white and comes with five attachments including a dough hook, creaming beater and folding tool...I immediately tried out the dough hook and made a lovely loaf of bread and now I am making bread on a regular basis again. I then made shortbread using the creaming beater...it works so well...no need to scrape the sides of the bowl down!The Kenwood Chef sits proudly on my bench and it has made baking a pleasure again...I look forward to the next 30 years of good service from this machine!
I had to replace my old Kenwood mixer which stopped working after 30 years of fairly constant use. If I have the new Kenwood Chef XL Sense mixer half as long I will be a very happy baker. I have used the new Kenwood a number of time for bread dough and baking. I particularly like the folding attachment which mixes the flour in nice and gently. Other aspects I like are the non-stick finish on the various attachments which makes for easy cleaning. It is quieter than my old machine and appears to be well built. Would certainly recommend the Kenwood and am very happy with the service I received from Appliances Online.
Yep. It's as good as they say it is. It's a bit awkward with the large bowl but not so much that it's a problem. You can always buy the smaller bowl. It's big and heavy, perfect to be the workhorse in the kitchen.The silver colour is nice and easy to wipe down. It will fit well with most common kitchen colour palettes.The hidden power cord storage was a happy discovery. Alas, there still is no good way to store the plug, built in to the mixer (or any other mixer I have had).Mine came with a heap of extra beaters. So far, I've only used two; the "K" and the whisk.I found it frustrating that I needed to "dial-in" the beater depth. I would have expected it to be correct straight out of the box. My cakes and batters just needed it a smidge lower to the bottom of the bowl.It's not as loud as I would have expected which is a nice change. It's not quiet but it's not ear splittingly load like some others.My biggest gripe is cleaning. Who the heck designed a bowl with crevices in the bottom? When you wash it (I hand wash mine) it's near impossible to get a tea towel in there to dry. I hope over a long time of use and washing, gunk or rust does not form.The splash guard has a pretty flimsy method of attaching. When it is in place though, it does it's job and is easy to work with (or without).I look forward to buying some of the optional attachments and getting many years of service out of my new mixer.
